About University
Vikrama Simhapuri University was established in 2008 with the purpose of making the youth of the state well-groomed in all aspects of their life and career.
- The university has been established by the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature via Act No.29 of 2008.
- Since August 2008, the university has been offering six Post Graduate courses in relevance to the contemporary time. From the year 2010, Research Programs and the awarding of Ph. D degrees were also started.
- The university recognized by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- The jurisdiction of the university is over almost the entire state of Andhra Pradesh having more than 127 colleges under its authority.
- Many research projects of the University have been funded by agencies like CSIR, DBT, and ICSSR.
- The campus is a vibrant one always buzzing with activities of various kinds and furnished with state of the art facilities.
