Established in 1937, University of Kerala is an affiliating university having more than 150 colleges under its jurisdiction. The University has 16 faculties and 41 departments of teaching and research in addition to study centres and other departments. Kerala University offers various UG, PG and Research programmes in different fields such as Medical, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Bioinformatics etc.

Kerala University Admissions

Following is a list of articles which have been covered in the admissions section:

Eligible candidates can apply for admission to B.Tech programme through KEAM  whereas in case of B.Arch, candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks scored in NATA. For B.Tech and B.Arch. programme, interested students can apply online through official website of CEE Kerala and NATA, respectively.

In addition to B.Tech and B.Arch, the university offers various UG programmes such as BCA, B.Com, B.Sc where selection is done on the basis of marks secured in qualifying exam & in the desired subject. Eligible candidates can apply through the official Kerala university website.

Interested students can apply for LL.B and LL.M offered by Kerala University on the basis of marks scored in the university entrance test. Those seeking admission can apply online by visiting the official website and submitting the required fee of Rs. 250/- (Rs. 100 for SC/ST candidates).

The university offers M.Tech programme through GATE whereas admission to M.Sc and MSW courses is completely merit based. Students can obtain the application form along with the prospectus from the official Kerala university website and send it upon completion to the university office.

Admission to B.Ed and M.Ed programme in Govt./Aided/Self-financing colleges of Kerala University is done on the basis of on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree. For both programmes, candidates can obtain the application form available at the colleges where they would like to join the programme and submit the duly filled-in applications to the respective colleges itself.

The university offers admission to MCA programme on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination, conducted by the university. Only eligible candidates can apply online through the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE-Kerala) and submit the required fee through online/ offline payment mode.

For admission to MBA programme offered by Kerala University, candidates are required to pass KU-CAT (Entrance test conducted by University of Kerala) & KMAT (Management test on state level) both. Interested students can submit the online application form along with the required fee through the official university website.

In addition to UG and PG courses, the university also offers research programmes viz. M.Phil/ Ph.D on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test, conducted by the university. Interested candidates can submit the application forms online along with the processing fee through the official university website.

Kerala University Results

The university follows semester system for all its courses – odd and even. Final examinations are conducted in the month of December and May for odd and even semesters, respectively. Results for the same are published on the official university website within a month from the examinations.

Kerala University Exam results

Registrations for KEAM begin in the month of January with examination in April and announcement of results in May. Kerala University notifications regarding different course entrance examinations, conducted by CEE Kerala, are issued as per the respective academic sessions. For eg. – In case of Law courses and PG medical courses, applications are invited in July/ August every year.

Result for different entrance tests are published on the respective examinations’ official website. Candidates can check their scores and merit list to confirm their seat in the counseling process from the online admissions portal available at the Kerala University official website.

Notes:

  1. In case of KU-CAT results, candidates should log on to the official KU website and enter their unique application number along with the password. Upon submitting it, candidates can check the result and download the respective scorecard.
  2. In case of PG Medical courses, the Provisional Rank list along with the provisional category lists of General Quota candidates and the result of Service Quota candidates who have appeared for the Entrance Examination are also posted on the official CEE website.

Kerala University Answer Keys & Counseling Process

Upon registration, candidates can download their admit cards along with the answer keys from the official CEE website. Schedule of counselling and allotment along with the seat distribution and consolidated matrix for all exams conducted by CEE Kerala can be viewed through links available at its official website.

University of Kerala Results

Kerala University end semester results are published on the official university website. Candidates can check their UG, PG and PhD programme semester results from the Examinations Portal by downloading the required PDF file.

Steps to check the end semester examination result:

  • Candidate should log on to the official Kerala University website.
  • Once the home page is loaded, search for the “Results” link under the Examination section.
  • Upon clicking the “Results” link, a list of various semester results will be displayed in the browser window. Candidate should search for his/her course and semester result link and click it. For eg. - First year B.Sc (Nursing)Degree Examination April 2016
  • Once the PDF link is opened, candidates can find their roll number and total marks indicated against their respective colleges affiliated to KU.

Note: Kerala University students can check their end semester examination schedule for different courses and semesters available at the Kerala university examination portal.

About the College

University of Kerala was founded as the University of Travancore in 1937 as one of the first 16 Universities in India. The earliest origins of the University may be traced back to two institutions of modern learning in Kerala, the University College, Thiruvananthapuram and the Trivandrum Observatory. The University has over 150 affiliated colleges. At present, the university has sixteen faculties and forty one departments of teaching and research in addition to study centres and other departments. Kerala University Admissions

Kerala University offers a range of undergraduate, post graduate and research level programs in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Engineering, Technology, Management and More. The university conducts classes at its 16 faculties and through 41 departments. Kerala University starts it admission drives right from first month of the year, while the admission notification for most of the undergraduate programs are announced in the first quarter of the year. Admission to the most postgraduate admissions are conducted in the second quarter of the year while admission to the Ph.D programs are announced in the month of December, every year.

Kerala University Distance Education:

Kerala University also offers distance education through its School of Distance Education located in Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram. The distance education school offers 25 courses which includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Public Administration , Library Sciences, and Science.
