About University
Noorul Islam University (Formaly know as Noorul Islam College of Engineering (NICE)), the constituent teaching unit of Noorul Islam University, was established in the year 1989-90. Objective of the college is to provide for research and for the advancement of and dissemination of knowledge. NICE is only a vocal-distance from the famous Lord Velmuruga Temple at Kumaracoil. It is only 15 km distance from Nagercoil, the district headquarters of Kanyakumari
- Motto of the college is “To establish educational institutions of excellence, especially, in the field of engineering and technology so as to equip the youth of this place and its vicinity with the wisdom of system building”
- The Noorul Islam College of engineering covers a land area of 225 acres at Kumaracoil, Kanyakumari District, in the state of Tamil Nadu
- College is only 1.5 km interior towards the foothills of the mountains from Kumaracoil Junction on the Kanyakumari Thiruvanthapuram National Highway (NH-47) - about 30 km from Kanyakumari and 60 km from Trivandrum, capital city of state of Kerala
