About University

Barkatullah University was established in the year 1970 under the name of Bhopal University. But in 1988 it was renamed after the freedom fighter Prof. Barkatullah.  The university covers almost all higher education courses through its affiliated colleges. The university campus covers almost 360 acres of land situated on the Jabalpur -Jaipur national highway at distance of 3 km. from Habibganj Railway station.

The Application fee is required to be paid by DD in favor of ‘Registrar Barkatullah Vishwavidhyala, Bhopal or by submitting the DD in State Bank of India, BU branch Bhopal.

BU Bhopal Syllabus

Students of Barkatullah University can check the syllabus  for all courses semester-wise by navigating to the official website only. Students can also check the revised syllabus (if applicable). On the same page, students can also find the subject groups for all respective faculties.

BU Bhopal Timetable

BU has releases the exam timetable for all UG & PG courses offered at BU campus & its affiliated colleges. Students can check their course & semester-wise timetable by following the official website of the University. Students are strictly advised to verify their exam schedule from respective BU affiliated college once the timetable is uploaded officially to avoid the last-minute inconvenience. Students must follow the below mentioned steps to download their semester exam timetable:

1. Visit to the official web page of the BU.
2. Navigate through the listing page & click on ‘Timetable’ section.
3. After that you will be redirected to the timetable listing page.
4. Now click on your desired course link & save & download the timetable.

Note: Students will find the details like exam shift, Paper Title & Day along with the Date of the Exam in the downloaded copy.

BU Bhopal Admit Card

After declaration of exam timetable, students can download the admit card from BU, Bhopal official website. All enrolled students have to follow the given steps in order to download their BU hall ticket for annual & term end examinations:

1. Visit to the official page of BU.
2. Now navigate to the news & notification section & find the link for admit card.
3. Now find the link for exam date, extended date & click on the admit card link.
4.  Enter your details like registration number, DOB & submit.
5. Save & download the admit card for future use.

Note: Those students who are unable to download their admit card online, can obtain it from designated University offices & affiliated colleges.

BU Bhopal Results

BU conducts the term end examinations generally in the months of May & December every year. Students must follow the below listed steps to download their result:

1. Visit to the official web page of the BU.
2. Navigate through the listing page & click on ’Online Results’ section.
3. You will be redirected to the BU result page. Click on your desired course link.
4. Enter your details like roll number, semester, season & then submit.
5. Save & download your scorecard for future reference.

Facilities:

Library: University has well stocked library with 75000+ books, 3000 research magazines, 5703 thesis and 60 sanskrit MSS. The library subscribes 15 daily and 12 weekly news papers and also several monthly magazines and journals.

Hostels: Campus has 4 hostel in its premises in which 3 are for boys and 1 for girls. Hostels are are looked after by wardens.

Psychological Counseling Center: The department of psychology constantly running this center from the session 1990-91 in order to solve the student’s personal problems.

Computer Center: It was established in the year 1990. Center is equipped with IBM RS6000 Unix Server, AST Manhattan Server, Motorola 68030 machines and systems connected in the LAN.

Instrumentation Center: Center has well equipped mechanical workshop. The Electronics workshop and glass blowing workshop are being constructed in the in the campus
