Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Kochi campus) is very much young, colourful and above all jovial. The country knows about the Chancellor Amma’s ambition – to serve the humanity with utmost love and affection. There are various facilities that are providing the students with all the aspects of a true University that is being required for earning the status of a University.Establishing this University has given her the scope to serve the backbone of the nation – the students.

  • The university is having its head quarter at Ettimadai in Coimbatore.
  • It is one of the youngest to be given the status of University.
  • The National Assessment and Accreditation Council have accredited the university with ‘A’ Grade. It is really a big achievement for the University.
  • There are various schools under this University in Kochi campus: Medicine, Arts and Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Nursing and Dentistry.

Infrastructure/Faculty/Department

The campus at Kochi shelters many schools, departments and other centres.

  • There are Health Sciences department.
  • It consists of , School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Centre for Nanosciences, School of Dentistry, Pharmacy and School of Nursing & School
  • Other schools also includes the School of Arts and Sciences and School of Business .
  • The campus of the Health Sciences has an area over 3,330,000 square feet of space that is spread in excess of 125 acres of land.
  • The Health Sciences campus has got 12 Super-Specialty Departments and other departments numbering up to 45
  • There are 25 operation theatres. It is quite brilliant and helpful indeed.
  • The hospital is fully computerised and provides for ample scope to treat the ailing patients very well. There are 2000 computers that are running for the hospital.
  • The Radiology Department is fully digitised.
  • There are 17 NABL accredited Clinical Laboratories that are being used for the purpose of the patients.
  • The yearly outpatient proceeds are more than 7, 80,000 out of which almost 48,000 are inpatients.
  • School of Arts and Sciences engages a land area of 3.32 acres.

  • There are separate hostels for boys and girls
  • There is a sport facility (3 acres of sports field, Shuttle, Volley Ball, Tennis, Cricket, and Athletics). Playing sports will make the student feel relaxed and above all they will be e\able to enjoy their University life.
  • A separate gymnasium for boys and girls. It shall keep the students fit and healthy and they will also feel that they are fit enough to study hard.
  • Facility for playing Indoor Games (Carom, Chess, Table Tennis)
  • MAT / CAT / PG Entrance Coaching Classes are being taken so that the students can prepare very well.
  • Campus Recruitment and Life Skills Training are also provided so that the students can learn the art and also be able to face interviews.
