All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Admission 2018

MBBS Program provided by All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi is one of the most coveted medical courses across the country. Admission to MBBS Program at All India Institute of Medical Sciences is organized via an entrance exam held by the Institute on all India basis. This entrance is followed by a declaration of results and counseling process for admission. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi has the total of 107 seats where 50 seats are for general students, 27 for OBC, 15 for SC, 8 for ST while 7 seats are reserved for foreign nationals, annually.

Eligibility is dependent upon different factors enlisted below:

  1. Academic Qualification:
  • At Least marks of qualification for General/OBC is 60% and SC/ST is 50%
  • A student should have passed the 12th Class under the 10+2 Scheme/ Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE) or Intermediate of Science (I.Sc.) or an equivalent Examination from a recognized board of education of any Indian State with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as mandatory subjects
  1. Age: Student should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission (2018) Students required to fill the application form online. They must keep the following things in mind while filling the form:
  • The application fees for General/OBC aspirants cost Rs. 1000 and for ST/SC cost Rs. 800.
  • The students must not leave any column blank while filling the form
  • The changes in credentials i.e. Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Gender, Nationality, Marital Status can be done during Registration procedure can be done only till 23.02.2018

The Entrance Examination for AIIMS, New Delhi and six other All India Institute of Medical Sciences for the session 2018 will be organized via Online Computer Based Test (CBT) Examination.

  • Participants must be prepared to appear in the Examination in either of the shifts. The Competitive Entrance Examination will have one paper consisting of 200 Objective Type (Multiple Choice and Reason-Assertion type) questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Knowledge/Aptitude. The distribution of questions are as follows:
  • Participants may familiarize themselves with the mode of Examination by taking the Mock Test available on the website after the upload of Hall Ticket.
  • The Examination is to be organized in two shifts in various centers all over India on Sunday, 28th May 2018.

The admission is based on performance in admission exam organized by All India Institute of Medical Sciences. For B.Sc., students must fulfill following eligibility criteria

  • has attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission
  • Must be an Indian resident
  • has an at least aggregate mark need in qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent:

  1. For B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing

The entrance exam will be organized in 11 cities. The Entrance Examination will be organized in English language only. The seats will be filled strictly on merit on the basis of the marks secured by the aspirants at the Entrance Examination organized by the Institute. The Entrance Examination for Bachelor in Optometry / B.Sc. (H) Medical Technology in Radiography Courses will be organized in Delhi only. One paper of 1.5 hours’ period and consisting of objective type (Multiple Choice) questions in four parts of 30 questions each in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The aspirant may either attempt biology part or Mathematics part.

  1. B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic)

The admission to B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) is done on basis of two rounds of assessment i.e. Written Exam and Individual Interview

  • Written Exam: Aspirant will appear for an entrance examination (Written Test) of 90 minutes period consisting of one paper containing 70 objective type (Multiple Choice) questions in the subjects of Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing including Anatomy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Obstetrics Nursing and Midwifery, Pediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Professional Trends in Nursing.
  • Individual Interview: On the basis of the merit list based on the marks secured in Stage-I, aspirant three times the number of seats will be invited for Individual Assessment by a Selection Committee. Marks in individual interview will be honored out of 30.

Admission will be made on the basis of the aggregate marks secured by aspirants in St1age-I & Stage-II.

For admission at M.Sc./M. Biotechnology, the aspirant must possess one of the following qualifications and have secured minimum 60% marks for General/OBC aspirants (55% marks in case of SC/ST aspirants) in aggregate in the qualifying examination:

Selections for D.M./M.Ch/MD (Hospital Administration) courses are made via 2-Stage Performance Evaluation basis:

  • Stage I: Written test carrying 80 marks of 90 minutes period in the subject the aspirant has applied for. The question paper will consist of 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Stage II: Out of the aspirants who are 50th percentile or above in the written test (Stage-I), aspirants 3 times the number of seats advertised will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment (carrying 20 marks)

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi Ph.D. Admission 2018-19

All India Institute of Medical Sciences offers admission to Ph.D. programs. An aspirant wants admission to the course of study leading to the award of a Degree of Doctor of Philosophy must possess minimum one of the following qualifications: There are total 43 seats for admission. It organizes entrance exam and interviews for admission procedure in three stages.

1. (a) Medical Qualification: MBBS/BDS with at least 55% aggregate marks or MD/MS/MDS/ DM/MCh in the subject related or Diplomate of National Board of Examination. Aspirants who have obtained any of these degrees from medical colleges which are not recognized by the Medical Council of India shall not be applicable to apply.

(b) Nursing Qualification: Aspirants holding M.Sc. degree with at least 55% aggregate marks in Nursing Specialty will also be applicable for Ph. D admission in College of Nursing.

2. Non-Medical – For nonmedical aspirant’s eligibility shall be Master’s Degree (two years course) honored by Indian Universities or equivalent in the subject as per requirement of the

Selection for Ph.D. registration will be via a three-stage performance evaluation as under:

Stage I: 30 Marks (30 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Aptitude concerned MCQs covering English (written and verbal skills), Biostatistics, Research Methodology, Cell Biology, Lab Technology etc.

Stage II: 40 Marks (40 MCQs of 1 Mark each) Subject concerned theory based comprising Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of MD/MS/MDS/M.Sc. Entrance level.

Total Marks: 70 (30+40) - Stage I & II

Total Duration: 90 Minutes - Stage I & II

Stage III: Out of the aspirants who secured 50 percent or above in the written test (Stage-I & II plus the special weightage), aspirants 3 times the number of seats advertised will be called for departmental clinical/practical/lab based assessment (carrying 20 marks).
