Founded in 1984, Mother Teresa Women's University is a public university which provides postgraduate and research programmes along with Post Graduate Diploma courses. The University follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for all its courses with the objective of extending its service to women students of all communities.
Mother Teresa Women's University provides different Post Graduate courses (entrance and non-entrance based) at its Kodaikanal, Madurai, and Chennai campuses whereas undergraduate courses are provideed at the university’s constituent college. In case of non-entrance based regular courses, the marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be the basis for preparing the merit list.
The university also provides programmes via distance learning method via its multiple study centers. Admission to the distance programmes is done straight on the first-come-first-cater basis by the university. MTWU DDE provides selected programmes via distance education viz. BA, B.Com, BCA, MA, M.Com, MBA, MCA and Post Graduate Diploma.
The university follows semester format for all its PG, research and diploma courses and examinations are organized twice a year. Odd semester examinations are organized in November-December and even semester examinations are held in the month of April-May every year.
End semester examination results are usually published on the university website within a month from the examinations. The university students can check their result by following the below given steps:
Aspirants can view the examination timetable along with other relevant information concerned to university examination such as application form (Regular and DDE) as well as revaluation forms.
In case of revaluation, students can download the forms and send it upon completion along with the need fee to the university office within the stipulated time.
