Loyola College is an autonomous college, Jesuit Institution affiliated to the University of Madras. At the postgraduate level, the curriculum is for 2 years except for MCA (3 years). The institution has adopted the semester cum choice based credit system. The college provides different Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in multiple specializations. At the undergraduate level, the curriculum is for 3 years.
With the increased intake of students, Loyola College has started shift systems. Shift 1 courses fall under Aided programs and Shift 2 courses are self-financed courses.
Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters. The period of the semester is 15 weeks with 6 working days per week. From the third week of June to the second week of November are the Odd Semesters and from the third week of November to the end of April are the Even Semesters.
The end semester exams are usually organized in the month of December and June for odd and even semesters, respectively. The result is uploaded Loyola College semester exam results for all the courses are released on the university website within a month from end semester examinations.

After the declaration of Loyola College Results, students can also apply for revaluation of their exam transcripts, in case they are not satisfied with their result. Revaluation & Retotaling Form can be obtained from the official website.
The form has to be sent along with the Demand Draft for the Re-valuation INR 300 per subject / Re-totaling fees INR 250/- per paper, should be obtained in favor of The Finance Officer, Pondicherry University Payable at Pondicherry. Application for revaluation and totaling has to be sent to:

Aspirant Pass Requirements
Undergraduates: 2009 batch onwards, the following rules are applicable as pass requirements:
No minimum marks in the Continuous Assessment Tests Passing mark in the Semester Examination: 40%. The need minimum the aggregate of C.A. & S.E. is 40%.
Postgraduates: 2009 batch onwards the following rules are applicable as pass requirements:
No minimum marks in the Continuous Assessment Tests Passing mark in the Semester Examination: 50%. The need minimum the aggregate of C.A. & S.E. is 50%.
Continuous Assessment consists of 2 written tests on the dates notified in the College Calendar, and a third component is decided by the department.
Both Continuous Assessment and Semester Examination marks have 50% weightage.
