XAT 2018 How to Apply?

XAT 2018 Exam Dates have been declared by XLRI at its official website. XAT Application Form is available at XAT Official Website i.e. xatonline.net.in. All participants ready to appear for the exam can clear XAT Registration latest by November 30. Check all  XAT Exam Dates
  • It is compulsory to upload images of your photograph, signature and academic documents.
  • Successfully registered aspirants can download their XAT Hall Ticket from December 20, 2017onwards.
  • The at least XAT Eligibility to apply for the national level exam is a Graduation Degree from a recognized university/ institute.
  • The application fee for the exam is INR 1650. Payment can be done either by card or cash.

Registration Dates for XAT 2018

The registration window for XAT 2018 will be of approximately for three months. Aspirants must keep a regular check on the dates so as to apply for XAT as soon as possible. Tabulated below are the important dates for XAT registration:

How to fill XAT 2018 Application Form?

To fill XAT application form, visit the official website. It is important to follow the directions given in order to minimize the possibilities of rejection of the form. Following are the steps that an aspirant should follow while applying for XAT 2018:

Step 1 – Registration

  1. Visit xatonline.net.in  for registration.
  2. Click on ‘Register Online’

  1. Click on tab "Click here for New Registration"

  1. Read all instructions and click ‘Continue’

  1. Enter your Name, Contact details, and Email-id

  1. Note down your provisional XAT ID & Password sent on email and SMS
  2. Log-in using your XAT ID & Password and begin filling the application form.

Step 2 – Fill XAT Application Form

Filling of XAT Application form is divided into two steps. First being, providing your basic details and second being your educational details. Read them below:

Step 3 – Upload Documents

Once the registration and form filing formalities are done, aspirants have to upload his digital photograph and signature which should be less than 1 MB and in JPEG pattern. Aspirants need to follow the steps mentioned below to upload the documents:

  1. Log in using the registration number and password offered during the registration procedure.
  2. Click on the empty space to upload the photograph in JPEG pattern
  3. Browse the image of the photograph and click on upload.
  4. Click on the empty space to upload the image of the signature in JPEG pattern
  5. Browse for the image of the signature from the location on the computer and click on upload.

Step 4 – Fee Payment

Once the documents are uploaded, select the method of payment. Aspirants interested in XLRI program(s) need to pay an additional fee of INR 300 each. Application Fee for XAT 2018 is INR 1650 that is to be paid by all aspirants irrespective of their categories. There are three methods of payment for XAT 2018:

Method 1 – By making payment via credit card/ debit card such as master or VISA. The use of American Express card is not allowed. Payment through net banking can also be done by IDBI bank only.

Method 2 – Payment via cash can also be done by taking a printout of XAT pay in slip by visiting a nearest IDBI bank.

Method 3 – Payment via demand draft can be made in the favor of “XLRI Jamshedpur A/C XAT”. The Confirmation page and the Demand Draft has to be sent to the following address within 15 days of issuance of DD:
The Chairperson Admission,
XLRI, Circuit House Area (East),
Jamshedpur- 831001.

Step 4 - Confirmation Page

It is recommended to print the XAT confirmation page for your own reference. Aspirants who make the payment via demand draft need to send the confirmation page to the chairperson within fifteen days from the date of issuance of the demand draft.

Documents Need for XAT 2018 Registration

During XAT Registrations, an aspirant needs to upload the below documents:

  • Bank details (credit card, debit card or net banking) for payment of Application fees
  • Scanned images of photograph and signature
  • Marksheets of class X, XII, graduation and/or other equivalent exams.
  • Details of work experiences (if any)
  • Scanned copy of category certificate (if any)

Important Guidelines for Documents

There are some guidelines that obligatory to be acknowledged regarding photograph and signature to clear XAT Application Formfilling procedure successfully. The guidelines are said below:

  • Lastly, aspirants need to save this file with the name ‘photo.jpeg’ and ‘sign.jpeg’.
  • In case the face of the aspirant is not complete in the photograph, then the application for XAT will stand rejected.
  • Open the digital or scanned photograph and signature in MS Paint by right-clicking on the photograph or signature.
  • Press ctrl+ W to open a window which will have an option ‘resize by %’. Next, select anything between 10-50% and save the file as the jpeg. extension.
  • Check the size of the file in ‘properties’ and if the size of the file is still higher than 1 MB, go on paint and resize it by bringing the size down to less than 1MB.

We hope you register before the deadline i.e. November 30. Post registration, you can download your hall ticket from December 20 onwards.
