Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test (SAAT) 2018 is organizeed by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University for admission into different undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses in different branches like engineering, management, pharmacy, law etc.

  • Aspirants will secure 4 marks for each accurate response and lose 1 mark for each inaccurate response

Eligibility of SAAT 2018

Prior to commencement of online application procedure, it is necessary to check the eligibility criteria, which is various for each course. Eligibility criteria are primarily the at least academic threshold set by participating universities for aspirants to be able to appear for SAAT 2018 and subsequently gain admission into the desired course. Following are the eligibility criteria for every course-

B.TechAspirant must have completed (or appearing) 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects, as well as one subject out of Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology /Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics or any other subject as approved by AICTE
B.PharmAspirant must have completed (or appearing) 10+2 or equivalent examination, with personally completing English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology
BHMCTAspirant must have completed (or appearing) 10+2 examination in any stream, securing an at least of 45% marks (40% for Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST)/OBC categories)
B.Sc. in AgricultureAspirant must have completed (or appearing) 10+2 examination, with either of the following subject combinations PCM/PCB/PCMB, securing an at least of 50% aggregate marks for under general and OBC categories, and 40% aggregate marks for SC/ST/Physically Handicap (PH) categories. Aspirant’s age must be between 17 and 23 years as on December 31, 2018
B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic)Aspirant must have completed (or appearing) 10+2 examination, with an at least of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% for SC/ST/OBC categories). Aspirant must be minimum 17 years old as on December 31, 2018
P.B.B.Sc NursingAspirant must have completed GNM examination and registered with related State Nursing Council
Five-Year Integrated B.A. LLB. (Hons) and B.B.A. LLB. MBA/MHA/MHM/MTTMAspirant must have completed (or appearing) a three-year bachelor degree in Science, Commerce, Arts, B.E, B.Tech, MBBS, B.Pharm, B.Sc.Agri, BVSC, BHMS, BAMS, BDS, BPT, BHMCT, BBA, BCA or equivalent examination, from any recognised University, securing a at least of 50% (45% for SC/ ST/OBC categories)
M.PharmAspirant must have completed (or appearing) B.Pharm examination, from any recognised University, securing an at least of 50%. However, GPAT-qualified aspirants are not need to give SAAT 2018, but will have to submit application form
M.ScAspirant must have completed (or appearing) B.Sc or equivalent course in the stream/branch for which SAAT 2018 is being given, from a recognised University, with an at least of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC categories)
M.Sc. in NursingAspirant must have completed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) degree, securing a at least of 55% aggregate marks, from an Indian Nursing Council-recognised institution, along with a at least of one year experience in teaching or clinical area subsequent to registration in respective State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
LLMAspirant must have completed (or appearing) LLB or studied integrated law courses or equivalent thereof, from a recognised University, with at least 50% aggregate marks

Application Form of SAAT 2018 

Application form for SAAT 2018 will have to be filled by aspirants only via online mode. Following are the steps for successful completion of online application submission:

  • Finished form must then be submitted and downloaded
  • Aspirant must cautiously review the filled application form and then click on ‘Submit’ tab
  • In case aspirant seekings to apply for more than one program, various application form will have to be filled
  • Go to the official University website -
  • Aspirant will receive acknowledgement for receipt of application form on his/her email ID and mobile number
  • Under ‘Admission’ tab, click on ‘SAAT 2018 Application Form
  • No application fee required to be paid
  • Aspirant will then have to fill all the need details, like aspirant’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category, gender, correspondence address, mobile no, email ID, all academic details, selection of course and examination centre
  • Print out of application form must be taken for future references
  • Aspirant then required uploading his/her photograph and signature.

Hall Ticket of SAAT 2018

SAAT 2018 Hall Ticket/Admit Card will be straight sent to aspirant on his/her registered email ID, around a month before examination date

  • Organizing authority will issue hall ticket/admit card to only those aspirants who meet eligibility criteria and have submitted application form before the last date of submission
  • Aspirants will need to carry the print out of hall ticket to examination centre, along with a valid identity proof for the purpose of verification
  • Hall ticket will entail following information:
  • Admit card must be kept in possession until the completion of admission process

  4. Address of examination centre

Exam Center of SAAT 2018

SAAT 2018 will most likely be held at 62 examination centres, across 40 cities.

  • SOA holds the authority to increase or decrease the number of examination centres
  • Aspirants will not be allowed to change the venue of examination centre
  • Aspirants will be given the option of selecting their preferred examination centre while filling up the form.
  • However, the final allocation of centre is clearly in the hands of organizing body

Exam Format of SAAT 2018

Aspirants will get a maximum of 2 hours (120 minutes) to clear SAAT 2018. It will include 120 questions, all of which will be objective type

  • All 120 questions will be MCQs
  • Therefore, number of questions in each section will also vary with course selected
  • SAAT 2018 will only be organizeed in online mode
  • No negative marking will be done for questions not attempted by aspirants
  • Questions will be asked only in the English language
  • Aspirant will have to click on one of the four responses given for each question
  • Number of sections will vary with every program
  • Aspirant will be given 4 marks for each accurate response, while 1 mark will be deducted for every inaccurate response

Counseling of SAAT 2018

Aspirant will be called for counseling on the basis of merit lists prepared, depending on the marks secured by him/her. Aspirants will have to practice discipline selection procedure via online mode

  • On the basis of above selections and merit list, aspirants will be allotted seats
  • Participants will be called for counseling session in the month of June 2018.
  • Counseling procedure will involve selection of courses and colleges by aspirants in order of preferences
  • Aspirants will obtain counselling letters and rank cards via email
