RMCAAT (Rajasthan Master of Computer Application Admission Test) 2018

RMCAAT 2017 or Rajasthan Master of Computer Application Admission Test 2017 is a state level entrance exam. RMCAAT 2017 is organizeed by Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota for admissions into the postgraduate course of Computer Applications.

The exam is likely to be held in the month of May 2017. An aspirant must have finished his or her graduation with mathematics as the main subject to be applicable to apply.

RTU, Kota has notified the RMCAAT 2017 Exam Format. The exam will have 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). No extra time will be allotted to the aspirants in any situation. The aspirants will be given 2 hours to clear the exam.

RMCAAT 2017 Hall Ticket will be available for those students who have finished their applications and fulfil the eligibility criteria.

The RMCAAT 2017 Result will be declared on the official website once the exam has been organizeed and evaluation of papers is clear. Qualified students will be able to participate in the RMCAAT 2017 Counseling procedure.

Eligibility of RMCAAT 2018 

Aspirants must check the eligibility requirements specified before applying for RMCAAT 2017. The detailed RMCAAT 2017 eligibility criteria are explained below: In case an aspirant fails to meet these norms, his application may be rejected and admission may be denied.

First year MCA

  • Aspirants in their final graduation year with a valid NIMCET 2017 score can also apply.
  • Aspirants must have pursued a graduate degree of at least three years period in any subject from a recognized university.
  • Aspirants applying on the basis of NIMCET 2017 score who have a Rajasthan domicile will be preferred over the ones who are from outside states.
  • Aspirants must have scored an at least of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
  • Aspirants applying on the basis of their graduation marks who have a Rajasthan domicile will be preferred over those from other states.
  • Aspirants must have taken up Mathematics as a subject in Class XII or graduation.

Lateral Entry in Second year MCA 

  • Aspirants must have scored an at least of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category).
  • Aspirants must have an Under Graduate degree in any one of BCA, B.Sc. (I.T.), and B.Sc. (Computer Science) from a recognized university.
  • Aspirants must have taken up Mathematics as a subject in Class XII or graduation.
  • Those with a Rajasthan domicile will be given preference over the ones belonging to a various state.

Domicile Criteria for aspirants appearing for RMCAAT 2017 is given below

Category CThe aspirant is a child of an employee of the Central/State Universities in Rajasthan who has put in minimum 3 years service on the date of submission of application.
Category CAspirant is a child of an employee of Central Government or Institutions and who is serving in the State of Rajasthan on the date of application.
Category CAspirant is a child of an employee of Rajasthan origin, serving in Defence/Central Government services/Public Sector undertakings/National Institutes of Government of India, who have put in minimum 3 years service on the last date for submission of application.

Application Procedure of RMCAAT 2018

The application procedure for RMCAAT 2017 will be organizeed online in the month of April 2017. Aspirants will need to register online and pay the registration fee.

Aspirants can refer to the step by step procedure for RMCAAT 2017 application procedure given below:

  • Using the challan generated, make the fee payment.
  • Click on “RMCAAT 2017 Registration”. Please note that this may be worded variously.
  • Upload necessary documents and verify the information filled.
  • Take a print out of the finished form.
  • Enter the 16-digit Token Number given on the receipt of payment to activate the application form.
  • Submit the form after ensuring that no further changes have to be made.
  • Offer requisite details such as academic qualification, category, domicile etc.
  • Offer aspirant’s name, date of birth and name of aspirant’s father.
  • Visit the official link.

Application Fee of RMCAAT 2018 

The aspirant will need to make payment of Rs.2000 as registration fee for RMCAAT 2017. This comprises registration amount of Rs.1000 which is non-refundable. The rest will be adjusted against admission fee of the student.

The aspirant will have to pay the requisite sum through a challan that will be generated upon successful registration. The aspirant must keep it safe as it will be required at later stages of admission. A receipt will be given to the aspirant after the fee has been paid, with a 16-digit Token number. The participant will have to contact any authorized e-Mitracentre for fee payment.


Hall Ticket of RMCAAT 2018 

The hall ticket for RMCAAT 2017 will be made available on the official website a week prior to the exam date. Applicable aspirants who have submitted clear application forms and paid the fee will be allowed a admit card for the exam.

  • View and save your hall ticket.
  • Offer your registration number along with a date of birth.

Exam Format and Syllabus of RMCAAT 2018 

RMCAAT 2017 Exam will have 200 Multiple Choice Questions. The aspirants will be given 2 hours to clear the exam. A participant is rewarded 1 mark for every accurate response and there is no negative marking.

Reservation of RMCAAT 2018

Counseling of RMCAAT 2018 

Those students who have obtained the at least cut-off marks and qualified the entrance exam will be called for RMCAAT 2017 counseling procedure. The different steps involved are explained below.

  1. Choice Filling and Locking

The aspirant will need to fill the online option form mentioning his or her choice of the institute in order of preference. However, once satisfied with the finished option form, the choices must be locked via the “Final Lock” option. This can be edited or modified any number of times in the specified duration.

  1. Seat Matrix

The most recent seat matrix will be uploaded on the official website during the duration of choice filling. Aspirants should refer to the website in case of any doubt in this regard.

  1. Seat Allotment

The allocation of seats will be done on the basis of score obtained in NIMCET 2017 or on the percentage marks achieved in graduation by the aspirants.

  1. Allocation Letter

After the result of a seat, allocation procedure has been released, the selected aspirants will be able to download their allocation letters from the website. It will not be sent through the post.

  1. Reporting

The aspirant will have to report to the allotted institute along with the requisite documents within the specified time frame. In case the aspirant fails to report on time, his seat will be cancelled. A provisional admission letter will be granted to those who have reported.

  1. Upward Movement of Seats

Vacant seats will be available for upward movement after the first round of counseling is over. Those aspirants who registered for the first round and were not allotted a seat, as well as those who were allotted a seat and reported to the specific institute, will be applicable for upward movement round.

  1. Allocation of new seat

If an aspirant is allotted a new college via upgrade, the earlier allotted seat will stand cancelled. The vacated seat would be allotted to another worthy aspirant.

  1. Reporting

The aspirant will have to report to the newly allotted institute after upward movement within the given time duration. If he fails to do so, his seat will be cancelled.

There are some important documents that the aspirant will have to carry at the time of reporting for counseling procedure. Aspirants must carry these in original along with two sets of attested photocopies. The list of such documents need for RMCAAT 2017 counseling is given below:

  • Copy of Class X, XII and graduation mark sheet
  • Fees receipt generated by e-Mitra
  • Scanned copy of aspirant’s photograph (acceptable patterns are JPG/GIF/BMP and maximum size allowed is 100 KB)

  • Mobile number of the aspirant or a close relative
  • Scanned copy of aspirant’s signature (acceptable patterns are JPG/GIF/BMP and maximum size allowed is 50 KB)
