National Defence Academy Application Form 2018

NDA 2018 (National Defence Academy) Examination will be organizeed twice a year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). Official notification for NDA (I) 2018 Application Form will be announced by the 3rd week of January 2018. For NDA (II) Application Form, official notification will be published by the second week of June 2018.

The last day of form submission for both the sessions are:

  • NDA (I)- second week of February 2018.
  • NDA (II)- last week of June 2018.

NDA Exam (II) will be organizeed in the month of September 2018.

Aspirants between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age and passed or will be passing their 10+2/HSC are applicable to fill the NDA 2018 Application Form. Only male unmarried candidates are applicable to apply for NDA Examination.

There is no offline method available to fill NDA 2018 Application Form. Aspirants have to fill NDA 2018 Application Form in the online method only through www.upsc.gov.in. NDA 2018 Hall Ticket for NDA(I) and NDA(II) will be released one or two weeks before the examination.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA 2018 

Before filling up NDA 2018 Application Form, all aspirants must be aware of the eligibility criteria set by the UPSC. Only unmarried male aspirants are applicable to apply for NDA Exam.

All aspirants should meet the eligibility criteria set by UPSC to apply for the exam. NDA 2018 Eligibility Criteria are given below:

Nationality:

  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India before January 01, 1962.
  • Aspirants should be a citizen of India/a subject of Nepal/a subject of Bhutan or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi and Ethiopia or Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit:

  • NDA-I Age Limit: students must have born between July 02, 1998, to July 01, 2002.
  • NDA-II Age Limit: aspirants should have born between July 02, 2000, to July 01, 2003.

Qualification Criteria:

  • For Air Force and Naval of NDA and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: Aspirants should have completed the 12th or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics subjects.
  • Aspirants should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam conducted by the State Education Board or a University.

Physical Standards:

  • Students should be medically fit as per the norms set by National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination.
  • Aspirants have to go via the medical examination conducted by the Military Hospital after being advisable at the SSB.

How can Fill NDA 2018 Application Form?

NDA 2018 Application Form will be available through online method via the UPSC website. NDA 2018 Registration will be done in two parts. In Part I Registration, aspirants have to fill their individual, qualification, communication & other need details. Aspirants will then receive a registration number.

In Part II, students have to select the exam centres and make the fee payment via the online or offline method. Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.

Step I - NDA Registration Procedure

Aspirants can fill the NDA 2018 Application Form from the official website of UPSC:

  • Name: Aspirants will have to enter the name as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary examination certificate.
  • Marital Status: Only unmarried aspirants are applicable to apply for NDA.
  • Fee Remission Claimed: Admissible only to SC/ST sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs
  • Gender: Only male aspirants are allowed to apply for NDA 2018.
  • Educational Qualification: Participants have to select ‘passed’ or ‘appearing’ in 10+2/HSC
  • Nationality: Should opt for Indian/Others.
  • Father’s & Mother’s Name: While entering father’s and mother’s name participant should not use any prefix such as Shri or Dr., etc.
  • Date of Birth: Aspirants date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary examination certificate
  • Address: Aspirants should fill the accurate address for communication, including his/her mobile number and e-mail address

Step II - Payment of Examination Fee; Image Uploading, Exam Centre Selection & Declaration Form

This stage of NDA 2018 application procedure involves three steps:

1. Payment of examination fee:

Application fee of INR 100 has to be paid either by submitting the money in any discipline of SBI by cash, or by using net-banking/Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card of SBI. Aspirants who belong to SC/ST category and sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from fee payment.

Payment Method: The payment of NDA 2018 examination fee can be done any of the three methods given below:

  • In cash at any discipline of state bank of India via the pay-in-slip generated by the online application procedure
  • Online through any Debit/Credit Card or by using the internet banking of the State Bank of India and SBI Associate banks

2. Selection of exam centres:

Aspirants will have to select exam centre for NDA 2018 Exam from the given list of cities. Allocation of the examination centres will be done on the first-apply-first-allocation basis.

3. Uploading of Photograph and Signature:

  • Aspirants will have to click on ‘Confirm Upload’ button to submit their photograph and signature.
  • The scanned image of the signature of aspirants should not be less than 1 KB in size.
  • Participants will have to upload their photograph and signature in the .jpeg pattern.
  • The dimension of the photograph should not exceed 40 KB and must not be less than 3 KB in size.

After completing Part-I and Part-II of NDA 2018 Application Form, participants are advised to take a printout of the same.

Aspirants do not need to send the hard copy of the filled in NDA 2018 Application Form or any other document/certificate/testimonial to UPSC.
