Council of Architecture organizes NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) every year for admission to B.Arch courses in top architecture schools in the country. 5-year program of B.Arch. (Bachelor of Architecture) is provided via this exam.
NATA Application form has been published on the official website. Aspirants can apply online till March 2, 2018. The basic eligibility is that Aspirant should be class 12th pass or equivalent or should hold Diploma/International Baccalaureate Diploma.
NATA 2018 will be organized by Council of Architecture (CoA) on April 29, 2018. The Aspirants will be assessed on their drawing, observation and sensitivity skills. Unlike previous years, NATA 2018 will be organized in online mode i.e. Computer based test.

The score of NATA stays valid for the duration of two years from the year in which one appeared. This year’s NATA exam is scheduled to take place in April 2018. The registration procedure for NATA 2018 shall commence from the month of January next year. The form can be filled online. In order to apply successfully to appear for NATA 2018, an aspirant must fulfill all the formalities as mentioned below:
For Registration procedure, aspirants have to enter his/her email ID and create a Password. Aspirants would receive an email on the offered address of confirmation for registration.
Once the application form is available to be filled, aspirants need to fill all the details mentioned in the form.
Aspirants should then click on save and proceed to make payment.
Aspirants can choose to pay the application fees either through online or offline method.
Online method: ICICI Integrated Payment Gateway with the help of Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
Offline method: By paying via e-challan at any pan India discipline of ICICI bank.

For the convenience of participants, NATA offers the opportunity to accurate the application form for the exam. For NATA 2018, this date shall be somewhere in the third week of February 2018. After the last date of submission of application form expires, candidates are left with 6-day window to make the accusations. The information can be accurate at the time of NATA Registration Procedure as well.
Aspirants whose application form has been accepted successfully will be allotted with the hall ticket. The hall ticket will have to be produced at the examination center during the examination. Aspirants will find all the relevant information regarding the exam, such as exam centre, timing, instruction etc. written on the hall ticket.
Admit card for the exam can be downloaded online from the official website. For NATA 2018, hall ticket will be made available in April 2, 2018. Admit card can be downloaded by following steps:

NATA 2018 exam will be organized offline and shall be pen and paper-based. It includes three sections: Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing. The examination is held in two papers. One paper contains questions concerned with General Aptitude and Mathematics. Drawing is part of another paper.
Both the papers are organized on the same day. Each paper is issued the time of 90 minutes to be finished.
In Paper A, which shall ask questions from Mathematics and General Aptitude, each question is worth two marks. There will be the total of 60 questions in Paper A. It should be noted that there is no negative marking on questions paper.
Paper B will be of total marks of 80. There will be 2 questions of 40 marks each. It is compulsory for an aspirant to attempt both the questions. The paper has to be submitted within 90 minutes of the start of the exam.

Algebra, Logarithms, Matrices, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, 3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry, Theory of Calculus, Application of Calculus, Permutation and combination, Statistics and Probability.
Analytical Reasoning, Architectural awareness (General Knowledge question about architecture, popular, building etc.), Identifying commonly used material and objects based on their texture, visualizing three dimensional objects via two dimensional drawing, visualizing various sides of three dimensional objects, mental ability, Imaginative comprehension and expression, verbal reasoning, mental ability (visual, numerical and verbal), general awareness of national/international architects and popular architectural creations.
Understanding scale and proportion of objects, geometric composition, shape, building forms and elements, aesthetics, colour texture, harmony and contrast, conceptualization and visualization via structuring objects in memory, drawing of formats – both geometrical and abstract, form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces and volumes. Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shape and forms, generating the plan, elevation, and 3D views of objects. Perspective drawing, sketching of urbanscape and landscape common day-to-day life objects like furniture, equipment etc., from memory.
The result for NATA 2018 will be announced in the Second week of June 2018. The validity of score obtained in NATA is 2 years from the year of the exam taken by the aspirant. Students can download the scorecard for NATA 2018 when it is available online. The result will be made available on the official website of NATA.

Admissions to different institutions via NATA 2018
NATA 2018 is the centralized aptitude test for admission to undergraduate architecture course. Arch courses. Any AICTE recognised institute must obtain approval of CoA (Council of Architecture) for providing admission to B.
The aspirant should obtain a valid score in both: qualifying exam and NATA 2018. The total score of the aspirant will be evaluated by taking 50% marks from the State Board/ any other equivalent examination with Mathematics as one subject and 50% marks obtained in the NATA 2018.
The aspirant must contact the institutes individually for admissions if there is no separate entrance examination apart from NATA 2018.
The NATA 2018 Score Card is considered valid only when the aspirant has secured an at least 25% marks in MCQ portion (30 out of 120) & 25% marks in Drawing portion (20 out of 80) in the exam.
