MH CET Exam Pattern 2018

MH CET 2018 is a state level entrance exam organized by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra, every year to fill seats in different Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses provided by the colleges in the state of Maharashtra.

  • The exam includes MHT CET 2018, MH CET Law 2018, MAH MBA 2018 and MAH MCA 2018 exams.
  • For MBA aspirants, the exam would be designed to test their aptitude level competency.
  • MH CET 2018 exam would have various syllabus and format and would include four papers.
  • For engineering and pharmacy, the exam would be based on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • The MH CET hall ticket will only be available in online method and aspirants are advised to keep a check on the website to stay updated

MH CET Exam Format 2018 Detail

MH CET 2018 is a pen and paper based MCQ type exam. Aspirants would be tested for their ability and competence in handling problems from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology (PCM)/(PCB), English, legal aptitude (For law aspirants), Reasoning (For MBA), Computer Applications (MCA). MH CET 2018/MHT CET 2018 for Engineering, Medical, and Pharmacy

MH CET/MHT CET 2018 is organized by DTE Maharashtra to admit aspirants to B. The exam consists of MCQ type questions to be attempted within 90 minutes. Pharm courses. Tech/B.E or B. Given below is the detailed table of the exam format followed for MH CET 2018/MHT CET 2018.

MAH MBA CET 2018

MAH MBA CET 2018 is the entrance exam organized to admit applicable aspirants to MBA programs provided by different institutes in Maharashtra State. The exam will be based on four sections namely, Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Manner and Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension.

MAH MCA CET 2018

The exam is organized to test aspirant’s ability to response questions based on Computer Application and Awareness. If an aspirant qualifies for this examination, he/she will be applicable to take admission to MCA course at Institutes across Maharashtra state.

MH CET Law 2018

To admit applicable aspirants to law courses across the related institutes in the state of Maharashtra, aspirants must appear for MH CET Law 2018 exam. The exam covers 5 sections to be solved within a time span of 120 minutes.

In total, there would be four various exams for 4 various courses which would be organized under the umbrella of MH CET 2018. Admissions would be made based on the performance of the aspirants in each of the exam (for which application has been made by the aspirant).

MH CET 2018 Marking Scheme

Total marks scored by an aspirant in MH CET 2018 would be calculated based on the calculation of questions attempted and marks per question. The following marking scheme is eligible for MH CET 2018.

  • Every objective question would carry equal mark. Marks would be honored if the response is established to be accurate.
  • More than one response to a question would be treated as inaccurate response and no marks would be honored in that case even if one of the marked responses is accurate.

Note: There is no provision for negative marking in any of the exam except MAH MCA CET 2018. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrectly marked response.

MH CET 2018 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus for MH CET 2018 exam is largely based on the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics of class XI and XII. While for MBA exam it would be based on the general aptitude similar in lines to the CAT exam.

For MCA exam, it would be based on the gradation level (BCA) curriculum of computer concepts and the second section would be based on general awareness and aptitude.

The syllabus for MH CET Law 2018 would be based on legal aptitude, general awareness, reasoning and GK/Present affairs. Aspirants need to cover these topics based on the analysis of earlier year papers.

Important Instructions for MH CET 2018

Aspirants are advised to follow the certain instructions on the day of exam and week prior to the same.

  • In case the exam venue is far away from your present location then you should make some arrangements near the exam center beforehand to avoid last hour rush.
  • Try to make yourself calm and composed and avoid getting into panic method even if don’t know the response to some questions. Hold on and move forward.
  • Aspirants would need to select the accurate option displayed on the screen in order to mark their response. Necessary instructions would be offered by the examiner in this regard. 
  • Visit the exam center before the exam day to get an idea of the time taken and shortest route to the exam venue from your location.
  • Make arrangements for necessary documents like hall ticket and Photo Id proof which needs to be carried to the exam venue a day before the exam date.
