Maharashtra BED Common Entrance Test (MAH B.Ed CET) 2018

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for B. Ed 2017 is organizeed by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Government of Maharashtra. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 is organizeed for the admission to the full-time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed Regular) and B.Ed. in Special Education in the following domains:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder,
  • Hearing Impairment,
  • Intellectual Disability/Mental Retardation
  • Visually Impaired
  • Learning Disability,

All aspirants who will be applicable for admission and whose application will be accepted shall be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Counseling and Seat Allotment procedure will begin from June/July 2017. The admission will be done via the Central Allocation Procedure(CAP). MAH B.Ed CET 2017 application procedure has started from April 5, 2017, and the examination will be held on May 13 & 14, 2017 at selected venues in the state of Maharashtra. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Results are expected to be out on May 31, 2107.

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 question paper will consist of 100 questions of the objective type and the total time limit is 60 minutes. Aspirants will be honoured one mark for each accurate response. There is no negative for any inaccurate response or for the questions not response.

The organizing body of MAH B.Ed CET 2017 has announced official notification to fill the Application Form on April 5, 2017. The last date of filling the application form is April 26, 2017. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Hall Tickets will be available soon after the end of the application procedure. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Entrance Examination will be organizeed on May 13 & 14, 2017.

Eligibility of MAH B.Ed CET 2018 

Before applying for MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Exam, all aspirants must be aware of the eligibility criteria set by the organizing body of MAH CET 2017. It is mandatory for all the aspirant to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the application form. Here are the Eligibility Criteria for MAH B.Ed CET 2017 which is given as follow. After completeing, the eligibility criteria participant can apply for the application form.

Maharashtra State Aspirants

  • Aspirant should have a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with subjects Sciences/Mathematics/Social Sciences(History/Geography/Economics/Political Sciences/Psychology/Philosophy/Education/Library Science)/Humanity Sciences ( including all Languages and Literatures like- English, Marathi, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Pali-Prakrut, etc. studied as Optional/Special Subject at Graduation)/Commerce.
  • Aspirant must have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with the at least of 50% marks for Open Category (At Least 45% marks in case of Backward Class categories from State of Maharashtra belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), 5 NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC ( 44.50% and above to be considered as 45%) either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree.
  • The aspirant should be a citizen of India.

OR

  • The aspirant should have Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree with subjects in Engineering or Technology/(Science and Mathematics as a Special subjects)/Bachelor’s Degree and or Master’s Degree with the subjects Management/Engineering/Computers/Law/Information-Technology/Agriculture/BBI/Medical Sciences/All Social Sciences/Fine Art/Performing Art (Music/Dance / Drama etc.)
  • The aspirant must have secured at least of 55% marks(54.50% and above to be considered as 55%) either in Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree (At Least 50% marks in case of Backward Class Category aspirants belonging to State of Maharashtra belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC. (49.50% and above to be considered as 50%). 

OR

  • The aspirant should have passed Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree recognized as an equivalent degree by the Government of Maharashtra, in subjects mentioned above.

OR

  • The aspirant should have any Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree honoured to him/her by any Open University incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature.

OR

  • The aspirant appearing for the Final Year Examination of any Bachelor’s Degree are also applicable.

Other State Aspirants

  • The aspirant must have passed with the at least 55% of marks for all categories.
  • The aspirant appearing for the Final year examination of any Bachelor’s Degree.
  • The aspirant should have any Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree.
  • All the aspirants including backward class aspirants having Graduate/PG Degree from Out of Maharashtra University will be considered as Open Category Aspirants.
  • The aspirant should be an Indian National.

Application Form of MAH B.Ed CET 2018

The application procedure for MAH B.Ed CET 2017 will start online from April 5, 2017. Aspirants should go via the Information Brochure available online and check the eligibility criteria set by CET Cell Maharastra before applying online for MAH B.Ed CET 2017. Aspirants should have a valid E-mail ID and Mobile No., which should be kept active till the completion of this admission Procedure.  The MAH Common Entrance Test, for B.Ed program 2017 will be held on May 13 & 14, 2017.

The process for MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Online Application Form is as follows:

  • Read all instructions for fill online application form for Entrance Examination for Admission to B. Ed program 2017
  • Click on Submit button and confirm the details
  • Fill the application form with your Individual Details like name, DOB, Address details, contact information, nationality
  • Take a print out of the MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Application form and check whether all the information offered by you are accurate or not.
  • Create your password and security question
  • After filling these details click on submit
  • Click on “New Registration”
  • Visit the official website of MAH B.Ed CET 2017.
  • After the completion of the MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Online Application form, aspirants will have to submit the fees online.
  • Upload the scanned copy of passport size photo, signature
  • The aspirant has to select the “Centre of Examination” for MAH B.Ed CET Entrance Exam.

Guidelines For Scanning and Uploading of Aspirant’s Photograph & Signature

Photograph Image 

  • The picture should be preferably white background. 
  • The size of the scanned image should not be more than 50KB.  
  • Photographs taken wearing Caps, Hats and Dark Glasses are not acceptable.
  • Aspirants are advised to keep one copy of the photograph uploaded to be posted on the Admit Card.
  • If the aspirant wears glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be completely seen. 
  • The size of the file should be between 20kb-50kb.
  • Aspirants with religious headwear are allowed but it must not cover their face.
  • The photograph must be a recent, passport size, colour picture. 
  • If there is a use of flash, ensure that there's no "red-eye". 
  • The Uploaded photo image and photo posted on the Admit Card should match. In the case the photograph does not match, the participant may be disqualified.
  • The aspirant should look directly at the camera with a relaxed face. 
  • Aspirants’ face should be completely visible. 
  • Dimension 200 x 230 pixels is preferred. 

Signature Image​

  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels is preferred for the signature image. 
  • The signature must be signed only by the participant and not by any other person.
  • The aspirant's signature obtained on the Admit Card and Attendance Sheet at the time of the MAH B.Ed CET 2017 examination must match with the uploaded signature. In the case there is a mismatch of the signature, the participant may be disqualified. 
  • The size of the file should be between 10kb-20kb. 
  • The aspirant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen. 
  • The aspirant must ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.

Hall Ticket of MAH B.Ed CET 2018 

Aspirants can download the Hall Ticket from the official website from May 4, 2017, onwards. Aspirant will be informed about the availability of their Admit card through email and SMS on their respective email address and mobile number. The aspirant should keep their Admit card with them during the examination along with the photo identity card as identity proof of the aspirant so that they won’t face any problem while giving the exam.

Steps to download the Admit card are given below:-

  • Go to the official website.
  • Enter your login details, Application Number and your password.
  • Print the Hall Ticket on A4 sheet.
  • Login and download the Hall Ticket for examination.
  • Click on the link referred to MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Admit card(Admit Card or Admission Ticket).

Exam Format of MAH B.Ed CET 2018 

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 will be the online test. The examination paper will be divided into three sections which will cover Mental Ability, General Knowledge and Teacher Aptitude. The question paper will consist of 100 questions of the objective type and the total time period is 60 minutes. There will be no negative marking. There will be 40 MCQs from Mental Ability, and 30 MCQs each from General Knowledge and Teacher Aptitude. One mark will be honoured for each accurate response.

The Aspirants who wish to seek admission into English Medium Colleges of Education will have to appear for a separate test along with B.Ed. CET, which is English Language Content Test (ELCT).  ELCT will consist of 50 MCQs of 50 Marks, and time period for ELCT will be 60 minutes. Aspirants will be honoured one mark for each accurate response. There will be no negative marking.

Note: Aspirants who wish to seek admission in English Medium Colleges of Education will have to opt for ELCT CET while filling up the MAH B.Ed CET form and confirm before submitting the form. The aspirants who do not opt for and appear for ELCT will not be able to opt for English Medium Colleges of Education during the Centralised Admission of MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Procedure. ELCT CET will also be organizeed in the Online Method before/after the B.Ed. CET 2017. No request will be accepted after the submission of the form in this regard. Therefore, the aspirants ready to seek admission in English Medium Colleges should cautiously opt for ELCT examination positively.

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 syllabus would be based on the syllabus of graduation level prescribed by the BOARD. The aspirant must exercise all topics to get a grip of all the topics. The syllabus for MAH B.Ed CET 2017 exam is:

Result of MAH B.Ed CET 2018 

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Results will be released on the official portal. A participant who will give the entrance exam can check the MAH B.Ed CET 2017 results on May 31, 2017. Aspirants who will qualify the entrance test will be selected for the next round of the admission. The result will be released by the Commissioner for the Entrance Test(CET).

Cut off of MAH B.Ed CET 2018 

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Cut off is the at least score need to secure admission in the different colleges providing B. Ed courses in Maharastra.

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 cut off will depend on a lot of factors such as:

  • the number of seats available,
  • Earlier year cut off marks and the difficulty levels of the entrance test.
  • The number of participants,

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 cutoff will be published along with the result. Only those students who will score more than the cutoff marks will be considered as the qualified aspirants. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 cutoff will be announced by the official authority of the exam i.e. CET CELL, Maharastra for the students served as the basic selection criteria for the students. 


Counseling of MAH B.Ed CET 2018

MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Counseling will begin in the month of June/July 2017 after the declaration of the results and preparation of the Merit list by the CET  CELL, Maharastra - the organizing body of the entrance examination. MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Counseling is expected to be organizeed in four stages.

In the MAH B.Ed CET 2017 counseling round, the Commissioner for the Entrance Test (CET) will allocate the seat and college to the qualified aspirants based on the merit list. For the Counseling, the participant will have to register them from the official website and also have to report to the situated college before the given time. Only the participant who will complete the MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Entrance Examination will be applicable for the counseling procedure.

The Common Allocation Procedure will be done via a Single Window System (SWS) to allot seats to the qualified aspirants into the different colleges under Govt. The allocations will be strictly based on the aspirants’ options, the rank obtained and applicable reservations of the aspirant. Control based on the options submitted online by them.

All the aspirants applicable to attend the counseling procedure will have to carry all the necessary documents at the time of counseling. Aspirants will need to clear their document verification before they are granted admission in the allotted college.

Documents need at Time of Admission:

  • Transfer certificate and organize/character certificate from the institution where the aspirant studied last.
  • Certificate of Class X or any other relevant school records as proof of the date of birth.
  • The aspirants belonging to ST Category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” allowed by the Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Development Department.
  • Original Certificates, the copies of which are enclosed with the Application Form.
  • MAH B.Ed CET 2017 Hall Ticket
  • The aspirant belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC, and SBC categories should produce “Caste Certificate” allowed by the Competent Authority, as per requirement
  • Degree, Certificates and Mark list of all parts of the qualifying exams in ORIGINAL.
  • Two passport size photograph of the aspirant.
  • Aspirants who passed the qualifying examination from Universities/Boards outside the Maharastra State shall produce “Eligibility Certificate / Equivalency Certificate” from any of the Universities in Maharastra.
  • The aspirants belonging to VJDT NT(A), NT1(B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC, and SBC should submit Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate as eligible.
