KCET - Karnataka Common Entrance Test Application Form 2018

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)organizes the KCET for the admission to undergraduate engineering, dental and medical courses in the institutes of Karnataka. KCET/KEA 2018 Registration will begin from January 28, 2018, and continue till March 08, 2018.

Interested aspirants who fulfil the eligibility norms set by KEA can apply online by visiting the official website of KCET. Aspirants can also edit the information given in the KCET Application form 2018 on the official website. Application fee varies as per the category of aspirants. The edited or corrected Application form should be submitted by March 31, 2018.

Aspirants required to follow 3 major steps, registration and form filling, uploading of images and fee payment to clear the procedure. Payment has to be done by sending a DD in favour of ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority’, payable at Bangalore. The basic application fee for the general category students is INR 650.

How to Apply for KCET 2018?

Aspirants required to first register to be able to fill the application form. Visit the official website kea.kar.nic.in and click on the link CET 2018 online application’. After clicking on the ‘New User’, register yourself. After clicking on the link, CET 2018 online application homepage will appear. Read instructions cautiously before proceeding to apply online.

Steps to fill KCET Form 2018:

Step1: Login at the official website

Visit the official website and click on the ‘Click Here’ button displayed on Login and proceed to fill up the application form.

On the login page, aspirants have to enter the following credentials and click on the ‘Login’ button:

  • Security Code
  • Password
  • User Id

Step 2: Fill the registration form

  • Enter the student number and click on Submit button. The aspirant can edit this information if there is any inaccurate data.
  • Enter your name, father’s name, mother’s name and DOB as per SSLC / 10th marks card.
  • After successful registration, the aspirant will receive a “Registration Successful” message with user Id and application number to his/her mobile number offerd during registration.
  • Enter contact number in the registration form, to receive SMS alerts concerned to ongoing CET 2018 procedure.
  • Aspirants need to save their user id and application number for further CET procedure.
  • Click on “No” button if you are appearing for any board like CBSE OR ICSC other than Karnataka PU Board Examination.
  • Create your own user id and password. Please save user id and password created at the time of registration for future use.
  • Aspirants who are appearing in Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual Examination 2018 required to click on the radio button “Yes”.

Step 3: Filling of Online Application Form

In the Application form, the aspirant’s name, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, Gender, mobile number and the Email ID will already be mentioned. Participants required to enter the following details on the application form:

Student Information

  • Religion
  • Caste/ Category/ income Certificate number
  • Nationality
  • Location to write the Common Entrance Examination
  • Name of the Caste
  • Reservation Category
  • Mother Tongue (As per school/ college record)
  • Eligibility Clause Code
  • An annual income of the Family

Examination Details

  • Did you study in Kannada Medium from 1st to 10th standard?
  • Are you appearing for Karnataka 2nd PUC Annual Examination 2017 (Science)?
  • Otherwise, year of Graduation
  • PUC Student Number
  • Name of the School
  • Name of University/ Board
  • Did you study in rural area of Karnataka from 1st to 10th standard?

Aspirant’s Postal address for Communication

  • Reservation for claiming special category
  • District where you appeared for 2nd PUC/ 12th/ Equivalent exam (if Karnataka)

Details of Appearing Earlier CET Exams

After entering all the need details, save them and then click on “Save and Next” button.

Study Details

In this section, aspirants need to enter the following study details from class 1 to II PUC/ Class XII/ Qualifying Examination:

  • Name and Address of the school/ College with Telephone Number
  • Year of Passing
  • Classes Studied
  • Year of Study From; Year of Study to

After entering all the need details, save them and then click on “Save and Next” button.

Step 4: Uploading of Scanned Images

In this step, aspirants have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression and signature of their parents.

After completing all the above-mentioned steps, aspirants should cautiously verify the entries. For making any changes, they have to log in and make the changes before selecting the declaration.

After the scanned images are uploaded, the Declaration page will be displayed on the screen. Aspirants will require making a tick on the ‘I Agree’ box and click on ‘Next’ button to make the fee payment.

Step 5: Payment of Fees

After successfully submitting the details in the form, aspirants have to download and take a print out of the e-challan to make the payment for the application form.

Aspirants have to go to any of the disciplines of the following banks to submit the application fee:

  • Indian Bank
  • State Bank of Hyderabad
  • State Bank of Mysore

Important Documents Need to fill KCET 2018 Application Form

The participant should have the following documents in order to fill the KCET Application Form 2018:

  1. Scanned image of photograph and signature according to the following specifications.
  2. Class X certificate

  4. Class XII Mark Sheet (if available)

Retrieving Application Number and Password

The aspirant required to click on ‘Forgot Password’ in case the aspirant forgets the password. Aspirant required to create a new password by entering the below-mentioned details:

  1. User ID
  2. Application Number
  3. Secret Question
  4. Response and enter the security code
  5. Click on Submit button

Application Form Status of KCET 2018

In order to check the KCET 2018 Application Form status, the aspirants have to follow these steps:

  1. Visit the KCET Official website.
  2. Go to the Aspirant login page.
  3. Enter KCET 2018 Application No. and Password

If the "Download Acknowledgement Page" link appears on the screen then it indicates that their KCET Application Form 2018 is accepted.


Form Correction for KCET 2018

KCET Application Forms can be corrected on the official website. Karnataka CET 2018 Application Form can be corrected online only; no offline applications for correction of mistakes will be accepted. Aspirants must submit the edited application forms by March 31, 2018. This window can be accessed once i.e. only one chance of editing the KCET Application Form will be given to the aspirants.

In case, aspirants seeking to change the category, then they have to pay a nominal fee via a DD in the favour of Executive Director, KEA. No changes can be made after confirming the declaration.

Aspirants can follow the following steps to edit Karnataka CET 2018 Application Form:
