KCET eligibility criteria will vary according to the courses aspirants will apply for. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to different courses are mentioned below.
KCET 2018 Application Form will be announced online at kea.kar.nic.in in the 2nd week of January 2018. The stepwise instructions to apply for KCET 2018 are mentioned below. There are namely 4 steps in filling KCET Application Form 2018 – registration, uploading scanned images, fee payment and take a printout of application form & obtain seal and signature of Principal for document verification.
Aspirants from General and OBC category have to pay INR 650/- as application fee while SC/ ST/PwD aspirants required to pay INR 500/-. For residents outside India, the fee has to be remitted through Demand Draft drawn in favor of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore Aspirants who are residing out of Karnataka should remit INR 750/- as application fee while those residing outside India have to remit INR 5000/-. The fee payment will be made via offline method only i.e. bank challan.
Aspirants who have successfully register for the exam can download their hall ticket from the official website of the authority. The KEA will announce KCET Hall Ticket 2018 in the month of April. Admit card will include the important details about the exam such as name & roll number, examination center, exam date & timing etc. Without a valid hall ticket, no aspirant will be allowed in the examination hall.

In total, 54 exam cities are allotted by Karnataka Exam Authority (KEA) in 2017. Aspirants should select the test center situated in the same district from where they have qualified the 12th standard or equivalent examination. Aspirants who want eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses should appear for CET 2018 in a test center, situated at Bangalore only.
KCET 2018 will be organized in offline method i.e. pen and paper-based test. All the questions will be objective in nature. Each section will have in total 60 questions. Aspirants will need to use only blue or black ball point pen to mark their responses. For every accurate answer, 1 mark will be honored. There will be no negative marking for the inaccurate answer in KCET 2018 Exam Format.

All the questions will be on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern. The total period of KCET is 3 hours and 30 minutes. KCET 2018 would be organized in English medium only. There will be a Kannada language test also for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga aspirants only.
All the aspirants participating in KCET Counseling are need carry the following documents for verification. Documents must carry in original along with attested photocopies.
KCET 2018 Seat Reservation will be eligible for SC, ST, OBC aspirants. Aspirants of Karnataka Origin only, claiming eligibility for Govt. seats will be applicable to claim reservation under the following categories: NCC, Sports, Scouts and Guides, Defence, Ex-defence, PWD, Central Armed Police Force; Ex-Central Armed Police Force.
The aspirants who belong to Ex-Central Armed Police will be issued seats according to merit only. The aspirants belonging to districts of Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal, and Bellary shall be regarded as the local area. Provision of Reservation for aspirants of Hyderabad is also there in the norms of KCET 2017.
