JUET 2018 Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus

JUET 2018 is a qualifying entrance exam for admission to PG Degree (PG), Post Graduate Diploma and UG Programs provided by Jammu University, Jammu. 75% weight is given to Qualifying Exam and 25% to JUET. JUET 2018 is expected to be held in 3rd week of June 2018. Jammu University organizes JUET entrance test annually.   Selection in PG, Post Graduate Diploma and Under Graduate Programs provided by JAMMU University will be based on 2 parameters i.e. Merit in qualifying exam and JUET entrance test.

JUET 2018 is an offline Pen Paper-based entrance examination. Period of JUET is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes) and test paper consists of 150 objective type questions divided into 4 sections i.e.

  • General English
  • Reasoning
  • Numerical Ability
  • General Knowledge

First 3 sections have 40 questions each and last section Numerical Ability has 30 questions. Each question carries 1 mark for right response and (-) 0.25 mark for the wrong response as per Negative Marking Scheme.

Exam Dates for JUET 2018

Application Form for JUET 2018 is expected to be available from mid-May 2018 and probably last date for submission of application form will be last week of May 2018 and after last of submitting an application form, 3 more days will be given for submitting the application form with late fee. Result for JUET 2018 is expected to be declared by the end of June 2018 JUET 2018 is expected to be held in 3rd week of June 2018. JUET 2018 Admit card will be available from 2nd week of June till the end of 3rd week of June.

Eligibility Criteria for JUET 2018

Eligibility for JUET 2018 differs widely as per the program of study under Jammu University. Detailed information on eligibility program wise can be retrieved from the official website of JUET i.e. www.juet.in. Eligibility, in brief, is being mentioned as under:

Academic Qualification:

  • UG Program:
  1. Aspirant must have passed 10+2 with at least qualifying marks ranging from 45% to 50% (depends on the program applying for)
  2. For SC / ST aspirants at least qualifying marks are from 40% to 45% (depends on the  program applying for)
  • PG Program
  1. Aspirant must have passed Graduation Degree Program with at least qualifying marks ranging from 50% to 55% (depends on the program applying for)
  2. For SC / ST aspirants at least qualifying marks are from 45% to 50% (depends on the  program applying for)
  • PG Diploma Program
  • PG Program
  1. Aspirant must have passed Graduation Degree Program with at least qualifying marks ranging from 45% to 55% (depends on the program applying for)

JUET 2018 Application Form

Application Form for JUET 2018 will be available from Mid May 2018. Procedure for online submission of application form for JUET 2018 can be performed in easy steps which start from online registration on the official website of Jammu University for JUET 2108 i.e. https: www.juet.in. JUET 2018 Application Form can be obtained via Online only.

Before proceeding to fill up application form for JUET 2018, the participant must arrange soft copies of Passport Size Self Photograph and Signature (Size Max 100kb and At Least 2kb in jpg file pattern). Participant is also advised to ensure that he/she fulfills eligibility criteria as per the degree/diploma program applying for.

 JUET 2018 application fee for general category is INR 700/- and INR 600/- for SC / ST category participant. For self-financing admission seats participant will have to pay INR 600/- additionally. Participants who have deposited application fee offline through Bank Challan are advised to keep checking the status to the application on www.juet.in. Bank changes are not comprised in the fee and will have to be borne by the aspirant as per the bank norms. If within a week of submitting the application fee through offline method, a status of the application is not changing then immediately contact to Jammu University. JUET 2018 Application will be treated as provisional until it is reconciled with the bank. Reconciliation procedure may take 3-4 days.

Steps for online submission of JUET 2018 exam application form are as follows:

  • Make payment with either Net Banking or Debit Card  or Credit Card as per the suitability
  • Click on Verification Link
  • Go Back to the Portal
  • Click on Application Form for JUET 2018
  • Upload files for Self Photograph, Signature  
  • Visit Admission Portal i.e. www.juet.in
  • Click on Register Button
  • Get Registration by filling need  information like: Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, Make Password, State and City etc
  • Open your Email Account
  • Message will be on screen: Your Account Creation was Successful
  • Procedure clears here
  • Login with Registered Email Address and Password
  • Select Course applying for
  • Fill Individual Details, Parent’s Details, Address Details, Academic Details
  • Open email from Jammu University
  • Application Form will Open here in various sections
  • Proceed to payment section
  • Fill Information Section-wise

Offline Mode: for submitting JUET 2018 Application Form

  • Deposit Fee and keep the hard copy of fee challan allocated by the bank, as this will be in use for future references.
  • If participant seekings to pay offline, he should take print of the Payment Challan. Basic information about the participant will already be printed on payment challan.
  • After Application form submission a Payment Challan is generated.
  • This payment challan is to be taken to J&K Bank

JUET Hall Ticket 2018

Hall Ticket for JUET 2018 Exam will be available on official website portal i.e. www.juet.in. Admit card will not be sent to the aspirants through any other channel, it has to be downloaded from the portal regardless of submission method of payment of application fee for JUET 2018.

Admit card for JUET 2018 will be a mandatory document to carry with in examination hall without which entrance to examination hall and attempt for JUET 2018 exam will not be permitted in any case.

JUET Syllabus 2018

Syllabus for JUET 2018 consists 4 sections and each section has weight on the basis of marks. Equal marks are allotted to each question. Standard of contents of the syllabus will be as per the status of aspirants. For Under Graduate Program aspirants, standard will as the standard of Class 10th & 12th and for Post Graduate Program aspirant, syllabus standard will be according to Graduation Level. Standard of Numerical Ability Section will be the same for Under Graduate and PG. Status of aspirants is classified as Under Graduate and Post Graduate and Standard of a syllabus is divided on the basis of Under Graduate and Post Graduate level.

To evaluate the skill of the aspirant on written English with questions on mistakes in usage, grammar, punctuation and the like.

Section D: Numerical Ability (30 Questions)

To evaluate the skill on solving mathematical problems of the graduate level including those learned in plus two or equivalent level.

JUET Result 2018

Result for JUET 2018 entrance exam is expected to be released at the end of June 2018. Result will be displayed on its official website i.e. www.juet.in

Before the declaration of result for JUET 2018 entrance exam, response key of the question paper will be published on official website of JUET. If there is any discrepancy or any objection regarding response of any question mentioned in Response key, then aspirant must send it to Jammu University online with suitable proof of response within the 3 days of publication of Response Key.

JUET 2018 Result will not be sent to any aspirant straight or via any other way. The result has to be downloaded from above-mentioned web portal for admissions to Jammu University.

JUET Counseling 2018

Counseling procedure starts with the declaration of Result for JUET 2018. A Rank list is disclosed on Jammu University’s website and Date & Time is also mentioned for counseling Rank-wise.

Aspirant obligatory to download Counseling Call Letter from www.juet.in fill it, take a print and submit.

The aspirant must carry below-mentioned documents during counseling procedure:

  • Score Card of JUET 2018 downloaded from www.juet.in
  • Photo ID Proof showing Aspirant’s Photo, Address, Date of Birth and Father’s or Mother’s Name or both
