JKCET 2018 Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Date, Syllabus

JKCET (Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance exam organized by the JKBOPEE (Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations). Tech and B. arch programs in different private and government colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. The exam is organized once every year in the month of May 2018. JKCET 2018 is organized for candidates want admission in B.
  • JKCET 2018 result will be declared in the month of May 2018.
  • JKBOPEE will announce the JKCET 2018 hall ticket in April 2018. Without the Hall Ticket entry will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Before filling the application form aspirants should collect the need scanned images of photograph, signature, and thumb impression in the specified pattern.
  • JKCET 2018 is scheduled in the third week of May 2018.
  • Aspirants should avoid the last-minute rush and fill the application form before February 2018.

Eligibility Criteria for JKCET 2018

Aspirants who are going to appear in JKCET 2018 must check their eligibility criteria before filling the application form. If aspirants do not fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authority, the application form can be rejected at any stage. Aspirants should check the at least eligibility criteria given below to avoid any discrepancies.

Age Limit

  • Aspirants should have finished the age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2018.


  • Aspirants should be a permanent citizen of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Participant must have the domicile of Jammu and Kashmir

Educational Qualification

  • Reserved aspirants, must obtain 40 % in 10+2 or equivalent to be applicable
  • Appearing aspirants can also apply for JKCET 2018
  • Aspirants must have obtained an at least of 50 % in their 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board
  • Aspirants should have finished their 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCM and English

JKCET Application Form 2018

JKCET 2018 Application procedure begins from the month of January 2018. Before starting to fill the application form, aspirants should collect all the need documents for uploading in the applications form. Aspirants can fill the JKCET 2018 application form online from the official website. Interested aspirants can fill the online application form before February 2018.  Part 1: Registration

  1. Aspirants can fill the online application form from the official website of BOPEE i.e. www.jakbopee.org / www.jakbopee.net
  2. Click on ‘CET Engineering 2018’
  3. Click on the tab of ‘e-Application’ from the different tabs displayed.
  4. Read all the displayed instruction
  5. Fill the registration form to get Application Number.
  6. Aspirants have to fill the credentials like
  • Date of birth
  • Aspirants Name
  • Email ID, etc.

  2. After the successful submission of registration form aspirant will get an application number.

Part 2: Fee Payment

  1. Aspirants can make payment via the official website

Part 3: Filling details in Application Form

  1. After successful payment of the fee, aspirants have to fill the following details:

Part 4: Uploading of Images

Aspirants have to upload a recent passport size scanned photograph with a light background. The date and name of aspirant should be written on the photograph. Given below are the documents required to be uploaded to their dimensions:

  • Scanned image of thumb impression in jpg pattern. The size of the image should not exceed 200 kb.
  • Scanned image of the signature in jpg pattern. The size of the image should be not more than 200 kb.
  • Passport size photograph in jpg pattern. The size of the image should be not more than 500 kb.

JKCET 2018 Application Fee

After JKET 2018 registration procedure aspirants have to make payment of Application fee. Aspirants have to make payment of INR 800. Aspirants can make payment via Credit Card/ Debit Card/ e challan as per their convenience. The last date to make payment is February 2018. No relaxation will be given to aspirants of reserved category.

JKCET Hall Ticket 2018

Aspirants can download their Admit card from the official website. Aspirants should download their hall ticket and preserve it cautiously. Aspirants can download their hall ticket by April 2018. Without the hall ticket entry in the examination hall is not allowed. Aspirants must carry their hall ticket on the day of commencement of exam. Admit card will be available online only, it will not be sent by post or any other medium.

Exam Center

Aspirants can choose the exam center as per their convenience in the application form. Exam center will be allotted by BOPEE. Given below is the important information about exam center aspirants should check:

  • Aspirants can check the information regarding exam center in the hall ticket
  • The test center will only be allotted in the cities if Srinagar and Jammu only.
  • Once the test center is allotted it cannot be changed

Exam Format for JKCET 2018

JKCET 2018 exam is organized in an offline method i.e. pen and paper-based. JKCET 2018 Exam Format consists of two papers i.e. Paper 1 which is combined exam for physics and chemistry and Paper 2 for Biology or Mathematics as per aspirant’s stream. The type of question paper is objective type.

There are 60 questions in each subject of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. For every accurate response, there is a deduction of 0.25 marks. Every single accurate response consists of 1 mark. There is also a negative marking of 1/4th.

JKCET 2018 Syllabus

The question Paper consists the questions from class 11 and class 12 syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. Counseling Procedure of JKCET 2018

Aspirants who manage to complete JKCET 2018 exam will become applicable for counseling procedure on the basis of merit list. Aspirants who will qualify the exam will get their counseling letter online after logging into the aspirant’s portal. The counseling procedure will begin from the month of July 2018. No separate counseling letter will be sent by post. Aspirants have to bring all the original documents on the day of counseling. Aspirants have to make payment of rupee 500 for the counseling procedure.

In the counseling procedure aspirants have to give their preferences for college and course. The selection of aspirants for admission will be based on aspirant’s merit list for admission.
