UP JEE Polytechnic (JEECUP) 2018

JEECUP is state level polytechnic examination organizeed by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTC). In 2018, the JEECUP will be organizeed in the month of April.

JEECUP examination is organizeed for those students who seek to get admission in different programmes such as Polytechnic Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma and post diploma in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy and Management.

  • JEECUP examination is included of Multiple Choice questions.
  • While attempting the paper, students required to be very careful because, for every wrong response, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • JEECUP examination is organizeed via offline method only i.e. it is a Pen paper-based exam.
  • The questions in the paper are asked from the subjects like Maths, Physics and Biology.
  • It will be asked in English and Hindi languages.

Those students who seek to apply for JEECUP entrance examination can check important dates first. The dates will be released on the official website.

Eligibility of JEECUP 2018 

  • There is no upper age limit
  • The at least age limit for JEECUP 2018 is 14 years.
  • Students must check their eligibility criteria before register for the entrance exam.

Application form of JEECUP 2018 

The application form for JEECUP will be announced via online method only. All the applicable aspirants have to fill the online application form. The forms will be announced on the 21 December 2017. They will not be sent to the aspirants via any other mode. It will be announced on the official website.

Before the Online Registration aspirants have to be willing with a scanned copy of passport size photo, a scanned copy of Signature and a scanned copy of Thumb impression.

By following the below steps students are able to fill the application form:

  • Students required to fill all the details in the online application form
  • Students have to register for the Online Registration Application form
  • Now upload the Photo, Signature and Thumb Impression
  • After successful registration, again login to the application form
  • Click on the link “Apply for UPJEE Polytechnic 2018
  • Now students have to select the form type i.e. from Joint Entrance Examination for Group A or Joint Entrance Examination for Group B to K.
  • Now make the application fee payment via either Online or Offline modes
  • Visit the official website of JEECUP 2018 
  • Aspirants can submit only one application form per student whereas multiple application forms lead to rejection.
  • Students are advised to download and take the printout of the filled in application form for their future use

Aspirants have to pay Rs.300/- (Rs.200 for Reserved categories). Aspirants can pay the fee by net banking/credit card/debit card/e-challan. Aspirants paying via e-challan must submit the fee at any discipline of State Bank of India.


Hall Ticket of JEECUP 2018 

Students can get the Admit card via online procedure only. Admit card will be announced in the second week of April 2018. It is compulsory for the students to bring the hall ticket at the examination centre. Aspirants are not permitted to sit without hall ticket.

Students are advised to check all the details on the hall ticket. If the aspirants establish any error in the hall ticket they have to inform the examination authority. The hall ticket will not be sent via the post.

Following steps help students to download the JEECUP 2018 Admit card:

  • Enter the details like Application form, Application No, Password, and Security Pin
  • Students will be redirected to another page
  • Visit the Official website of JEECUP
  • Click on the Sign in Button
  • On the website homepage, click on the Download hall ticket link of desired course group

After clicking on the button, the hall ticket will be displayed on the screen. Students can download the card for their future use. The hall ticket will have the details concerned to students name, roll number, exam venue, exam date and timing etc.


Exam Center JEECUP 2018 

At the time of filling the online application form, students have a choice to select the exam centre of their choice. Students can check the name and venue of the exam centre at the time of downloading hall ticket: Exam centre once allotted cannot be changed later.

Exam Format of JEECUP 2018 

JEECUP 2018 examination is organizeed via offline method only i.e. it is a Pen Paper-based exam. Students should check the question booklet cautiously. The paper is included in multiple choice questions. In the case of any discrepancy, the aspirants should report the examiner immediately.

  • For every accurate response, students will be honoured by 4 marks
  • A Total number of objective type questions asked in the paper is 100.
  • OMR sheet will be clean and rough work will be done on question booklet
  • The time period to clear the exam is 3 hours.
  • For every wrong attempt, one mark will be deducted
  • The examination will be organizeed in two sessions i.e. 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
  • The paper will be asked in Hindi and English language

Syllabus of JEECUP 2018 

For better performance in the entrance examination, it is compulsory to cover every syllabus without skipping any topic. Each topic comes in the examination is very important. The paper consist questions from the subjects namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The following table shows the detailed syllabus of JEECUP 2018:

Group AIt comprises the UP Board 10th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
Group BThe syllabus consists two sections, the first section is of Mathematics while another section is of Physics/ Chemistry/ Agriculture
Group CGroup C syllabus consists of three sections i.e. Hindi and English Comprehension, Reasoning and Intelligence and General Awareness. It also comprises the questions from 10th class
Group DIt is included in 12th class syllabus and will consist of four sections named Hindi and English, Comprehension, Reasoning and Intelligence, Numerical Ability and General Awareness
Group EThe syllabus of this group comprises the two sections such as Physics and Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics. Participants have to do the preparation from the 10+2 syllabus.
Group FThe syllabus will consist of B.Sc academics. It comprises the sections like Physics, Biology and Botany.
Group GIts syllabus is same as Graduation and comprises the sections like English Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Intelligence and General Awareness
Group HThis group syllabus is divided into five sections such as Reasoning and Logical Discussion, Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude, English and General Knowledge. Intermediate questions will also be asked
Group IIt comprises 10+2 UP board syllabus. It comprises two sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
Group JThis group syllabus comprises diploma academic and also comprises five sections i.e. English Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, General Intelligence and General Awareness
Group KParticipants can prepare from class 10th and 12th syllabus. The syllabus is divided into two sections Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics while another section is Engineering

Result of JEECUP 2018 

JEECUP result has been released by the Uttar Pradesh Board of the Technical Education. Students can check their result via online method only. No other method is eligible to check the result.

The result will be announced in the third week of 3rd week of May 2018. To check the result, students required to enter their roll number. Aspirants are suggested to take the printout of the result for their future reference. No scorecard/ rank card will be sent via the post.

Following steps help students to check the JEECUP 2018 result:

  • Students will be redirected to another page
  • On the website homepage, click on the JEECUP Examination Result 2018 tab
  • Go to the official website of JEECUP
  • Click on the Submit button
  • Enter the individual details like Roll Number and Date of Birth

After clicking on the button, the result will be displayed on the screen. A few days, after the declaration of the result, the rank list will also be published on the official site. Students can check their result along with the Response key in the official portal.

Aspirants can check the response key by entering Roll Number and Question Booklet Number.   With the help of the response key, aspirants can calculate their marks and compare with the final result.


Cut Off of JEECUP 2018 

After the declaration of the result, the cut-off will be announced. The Cut-off is the at least marks obtained by the aspirant in order to proceed for further rounds of the admission procedure.

The cut-off marks will be calculated on the basis of some factors which are as below:

  • Difficulty level of the paper
  • Earlier year cut-off marks
  • Total number of aspirants appeared in the exam

Counseling of JEECUP 2018 

According to the student’s performance in the JEECUP 2018 entrance exam, they will be called for counseling. The counseling will be conducted via online method only. Students can participate in JEECUP counseling in the month of May or June 2018.

During counseling procedure aspirants have to fill their college and courses preference. Students will get seat according to their rank and seat availability in respective college.

Students have to bring the original documents along with the photocopies of documents for verification at the time of counseling:

  2. 10th Class Mark sheet & Passing Certificate
  3. 12th Class Mark sheet & Passing Certificate
  4. Character certificate
  5. Category certificate (if eligible)
  6. Transfer certificate
