JEE Main Answer Key 2018: CBSE has Published image responses & answer keys of the offline exam and answer keys of CBT at www.jeemain.nic.in. The last date to check JEE Main 2018 answer key is April 27. Aspirants who have appeared for JEE Main can download the question papers and answer keys from here.
Aspirants who are not satisfied with the captured response may challenge the official answer keys along with the proof. INR 1000 per question fee is charged for challenging the answer keys. The JAB’s/CBSE’s decision on the challenges will be final.

Once aspirants have viewed the response key and OMR sheet/recorded answer, they can tally their responses with the ones given in the response key. If an aspirant didn’t attempt a question, that question will not be evaluated and the aspirant will secure zero marks for that particular question. Every wrong response will be negatively marked i.e. ¼ of the marks allotted to that particular question will be deducted. The aspirant will be honored 4 marks for every accurate response.
Based on this marking scheme, aspirants can calculate and get a rough estimate of the total marks they will be securing in JEE Main in accordance with the number of questions they marked correctly or wrongly. Based on the calculated marks and earlier year JEE Main Cutoff, aspirants can assess if they will be placed in the rank list of students who will be appearing for JEE Advanced.
In case aspirants feel that the response(s) marked by them in OMR response sheet are accurate and the response(s) given in response key is/ are incorrect, they can challenge the particular response. After filling the application form, aspirants have to pay an amount of INR 1000/- per response. The payment has to be made online, using Debit/Credit Card/ Net banking. The aspirants have to fill the online application form available on the official website for the same.
If the challenge is accepted by the board, the amount of money paid for the question will be refunded to the account from which the payment was made, else the amount will be kept by the Board. The judgment of the Board will be final and no further communication will be entertained.
In a welcome move, CBSE decided to offer the photocopy of OMR sheet and Calculation sheet of aspirants who appear in JEE Main since 2018. Those who have doubts about their JEE Main 2018 Result can apply for photocopy of their OMR sheets and calculation sheet and tally with the official response key.
The last date to apply for photocopy of JEE Main 2018 OMR sheet and Calculation sheet will be declared with the announce of response key. Any request after the last date will not be entertained by the board. Aspirants who wish to apply for the photocopy of OMR sheet and calculation sheet must also pay a fee of INR 500 along with the application.
The fees should be submitted in the form of a Demand Draft (DD). The DD should be drawn in favor of Secretary, CBSE, payable at New Delhi. The draft could be obtained from any discipline of a scheduled bank in India.
Aspirants who appeared in pen and paper-based or online based examination for JEE Main 2018 can apply for photocopy of their OMR Sheet and Calculation sheet. The idea behind providing the photocopy of OMR sheet is to ensure transparency in the marking procedure.
The process to apply for the photocopy of JEE Main 2018 OMR sheet and calculation sheet is very simple. Below is the step by step procedure to obtain the Xerox of OMR sheet from CBSE:

NOTE: The entrance exam fee for JEE paper I Offline examination is Rs.1000/- for boys and Rs.500/- for Girls belonging to General and OBC Categories. For SC/ST/PWD categories, the fee for boys is Rs.500/- and for girls is Rs.500/-. In case the candidates apply for the computer based examination then the fee for boys from General and OBC groups are is Rs.500/- and for girls is Rs.250/-. The candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories will have to pay Rs.250/-, common for both girls and boys.
