Only those aspirants who have successfully filled the application form will be allotted a hall ticket. Without it, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam. Application forms have been announced on the website and the last date for submission is January 1, 2018.
From this year onwards, the number of aspirants who will qualify to sit in JEE Advanced has been increased to 2,24,000 including all categories. This is a good news for engineering candidates who will appear for JEE Main 2018 but it also indicates that the competition will be tough.

Such aspirants should submit a correction request at Aadhaar centre and apply for JEE Main 2018 by entering 14 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID/UR No. printed on the slip allotted by aadhaar centre after submitting updation request.
Such aspirants should fill JEE Main 2018 application form with old details as in Aadhaar card and thereafter submit a correction request at Aadhaar center. The updated details in Aadhaar may be corrected in JEE Main at the later stage by the procedure which will be notified in due course of time.
Ques. What should I do if the name of father/ mother is not exactly same as in school records or the address mentioned in Aadhaar has been changed due to transfer or some other reason?
Ans. If these particulars are not being matched with the ones mentioned on Aadhaar, the aspirants should correctly fill these particulars as per school records. The current/permanent address may also be filled accordingly since CBSE does not send any communication on the aspirants’ address.
NOTE: The entrance exam fee for JEE paper I Offline examination is Rs.1000/- for boys and Rs.500/- for Girls belonging to General and OBC Categories. For SC/ST/PWD categories, the fee for boys is Rs.500/- and for girls is Rs.500/-. In case the candidates apply for the computer based examination then the fee for boys from General and OBC groups are is Rs.500/- and for girls is Rs.250/-. The candidates from SC/ST/PWD categories will have to pay Rs.250/-, common for both girls and boys.
