Eligibility of IBPS SO 2018

Participants must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility requirements before applying for the appointment exam. The different criteria are as said below:


  • A refugee from Tibet, who have migrated and intends to stay in India permanently
  • People of Indian origin who have migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Myanmar and East African countries with the intention of settling in India permanently

Educational qualification:

The academic qualification for different posts is as given below:

  • IT Officer (Scale I):
  1. Aspirants should have an engineering or technology Degree in Computer Science/ Applications, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunications, Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Instrumentation; Or
  2. Candidates having a Post Graduate degree in the following fields are also applicable; Or
  3. A graduate who has passed DOEACC ‘B’ level can also apply for IBPS SO 2017
  • Agricultural Field Officer (Scale I): Candidates should have a 4-year degree (graduation) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering or any other concerned field to apply for this post.
  • Marketing Officer (Scale I): Candidates should have a 2-year full-time degree in MMS (Marketing), MBA (Marketing), PGDBA, PGDBM, PGPM or PGDM with specialization in Marketing.
  • HR/ Personnel Officer (Scale I): A graduate with 2-years full-time Post Graduate degree or diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work or Labor Law can apply for this post.
  • Rajbhasha Adhikari (Scale I): Personals having a Post Graduate degree in Hindi with English as a subject at the graduation level or a Post Graduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at the graduation level are applicable for IBPS SO 2017.
  • Law Officer (Scale I): Participants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) and should be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.

Application Form of IBPS SO 2018 

IBPS SO 2017 Application procedure has begun from November 7, 2017. IBPS SO application forms can be filled using the online method only on the official website i.e. The application procedure consists mainly of 3 steps which are given below: Personals will need to enter general details like individual information and academic qualifications in the form. The forms must be filled latest by November 27, 2017.

  • Registration by providing basic details to generate personal’s provisional registration number and password.
  • The final step is payment of IBPS SO application fee via different modes.
  • Fill IBPS SO 2017 Application form and upload need documents.

How to fill IBPS SO 2018 Application Form?

Students can go via the following the guidelines to apply for the IBPS SO exam

Step 1: Registration

  • A Provisional Registration Number and Password will appear on the screen. Participants will also receive an email and SMS on their registered email ID and mobile number indicating the same
  • Visit the official website of IBPS SO 2017 i.e. to apply for the exam. Select the option of ‘Click here for new Registration’. The registration form for creating the User Profile will appear.
  • Fill in general details like name, date of birth and contact details- valid email ID and mobile number. Click on ‘Register’.

Step 2: Filling of IBPS SO 2018 Application form

  • Log in using these credentials to proceed with the IBPS SO application procedure.
  • Aspirants will have to offer individual and contact details as well as details about their academic qualification, work experience, preference exam centre, etc.
  • After going via all the details cautiously, click on ‘Final Submit’ to pay the application fees.
  • They will then have to upload scanned images of their recent photograph and signature as per the specifications are given on the screen.

Step 3: Payment of Application Fees

  • Aspirants can pay the fees using Credit/ Debit card, Net banking, Cash Card & Wallet and IMPS.
  • This is the last step in completing the application procedure. Candidates have to remit the requisite application fees by various online modes.
  • They must enter the essential payment details on the bank page that appears and save the e-receipt of the online transaction as proof of payment.

Hall Ticket of IBPS SO 2018 

IBPS SO 2017 Hall Ticket will be allowed to participants who have successfully registered for the exam. The governing body will not send hard copies of the admit card by post or any offline mode. Steps to download IBPS SO 2017 Hall Ticket are given below: Admit cards can be downloaded from the official website of IBPS. It will be announced by the 3rd week of December 2017.

Exam Format of IBPS SO 2018

Result of IBPS SO 2018 

IBPS SO 2017 Prelims Result will be declared by the 2nd week of January 2018. The result of the Mains exam will be released in February 2018. The results will be released on the official IBPS website. The result will valid for the academic year of 2017-18 only. The results for both stages can be checked by following these few steps:
