HBSAT is an admission test organized every year for all the interested aspirants who seekings to get admission in different postgraduate courses provided by GITAM Hyderabad Business School, GITAM (Deemed to be University) like MBA.
  • After the completion of the examination, HBSAT 2018 Result will be announced in March 2018.
  • Students who have filled and submitted the application form are able to download the hall ticket from, ghbs.in.
  • Basic Eligibility Criteria is that an aspirant should have at least 3 years Bachelor’s Degree in MBA program.
  • At the time of filling the application form, students can choose the examination center according to their preference. HBSAT will be organized at 24 various exam centers.
  • Applicable aspirants can apply for admission test by filling HBSAT 2018 Application Form by November 2017.
  • Final selection of the student is based on their aggregate test scores, group discussion, and individual interview scores.

HBSAT (Hyderabad Business School Admission Test) which is organized by GITAM Hyderabad Business School, GITAM (Deemed to be University). HBSAT 2018 includes 100 questions. The paper is divided into 5 sections. For every accurate response, students will be honored 1 mark. No marks will be deducted for inaccurate responses.

Eligibility Criteria for HBSAT 2018

HBSAT 2018 is organized for those aspirants who seeking to get admission in MBA course. Before appearing for HBSAT admission test, students are advised to check the eligibility. Following is the explanation of HBSAT 2018 eligibility criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification achieved by the participant must involve minimum at least 3 years education after completing higher secondary school under 10+2 system or equivalent
  • Students appearing in their final year of Bachelor’s degree can also apply for admission, offered they furnish proof of having met the at least eligibility criteria by August 20, 2017.
  • Participants may be from any branch such as Engineering, Humanities, Commerce and Economics, Medicine or any discipline of education are applicable to apply.
  • The admission test organized by Hyderabad Business School, HBSAT 2018 is also mandatory for those participants who have not appeared for any other valid results
  • Foreign Nationals and NRI aspirants are also applicable they need to take GMAT test center outside India.
  • Aspirants who seeking to apply for MBA program must possess bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least aggregate 50% marks in any branch.
  • Students with valid MAT/ GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ NMAT-2017 scores are exempted from HBSAT 2018
  • Students with relevant work experience as also fresh graduates awaiting result are applicable.

HBSAT Application Form 2018

Application form can be easily obtained from the university official website. It cannot be sent by post or courier. Students must ensure their eligibility criteria before start filling the application form. Students can reach the application form in the month of November 2018.

Students can easily fill HBSAT 2018 Application form by following steps:

  • Visit the official website of Hyderabad Business School
  • The application fees for HBSAT 2018 is amount INR 600. Students required to pay the examination fees via Cash/ Demand Draft in person at the following address:
  • Fill the details like MAT/ GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ NMAT score, Registration Number, Individual Details, Centre of Choice and other information
  • On the website homepage, click on the Apply Online button

  • Students have to download and take the printout of filled in application form for future reference.
  • DD can be sent by post enclosing DD or pay order drawn in favor of GITAM payable at Hyderabad
  • Enter the details like DD/ Cash receipt number, date of issue, Bank Name and amount paid.

Students are advised to enclose the photocopies of the following documents:

  1. 10th and 12th provisional certificates and mark sheets of qualifying examination
  2. MAT/ GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ NMAT scorecards/ hall tickets
  3. Enclose the copy of DD

HBSAT Hall Ticket 2018

Admit card is a very mandatory document for those who are appearing in the admission test. Aspirants can download the hall ticket via online method only. Without hall ticket students are not applicable to appear for the exam. The University uploads the hall ticket on its official website.

It contains the individual as well as aspirants’ information that they have entered while filling the application form. Admit card is available to download in the month of January 2018. In the case of any discrepancy, students have to contact the higher authorities for rectification. Students are advised to check the details written on the hall ticket very cautiously.

Before proceeding to download hall ticket, students must have valid Registration Number and Date of Birth. By following steps students can easily download HBSAT 2018 Admit card:

Visit the official website of GITAM Hyderabad Business School

  • Click on the Submit button
  • Click on the Download Hall Ticket Button
  • Then search for the Download Hall Ticket link
  • Students will be redirected to hall ticket page
  • Enter the valid Registration Number and Date of Birth

After clicking on the button, hall ticket will be displayed on the screen as a pdf file. They must keep the hall ticket safe till the admission procedure finished. Students can download and take the print out of admitting card for future use.

Exam Center for HBSAT 2018

HBSAT 2018 will be organized at 24 various exam centers. Final examination center is printed on the hall ticket. Students have the chance to choose the examination center according to their preference. Exam Format of HBSAT 2018

Students are advised to check the examination format before start preparing for the test. They have to solve the earlier year paper because it helps aspirants to know about the type of questions asked in the examination.

The examination format of HBSAT 2018 is as below:

  • The question paper will be divided into 5 sections namely Data Sufficiency, Mathematics Ability, Communication & Business Aptitude, English, and Reasoning.
  • For every accurate response, 1 mark will be allotted
  • The examination paper will consist of 100 questions and time allotted to clear the paper is 90 minutes
  • No marks will be deducted for inaccurate responses.
  • The paper will be organized via online mode. It will be available in English language only.
  • No marks will be given or deducted for un-attempted questions

Syllabus for HBSAT 2018

HBSAT Result 2018

After the completion of the examination, the result will be announced. It will be released in the month of March 2018. According to the students result merit list will be prepared. Aspirants will be ranked in the list on the basis of their scores.

Final selection of the student is based on the group discussion and individual interview. Students who are unable to complete the examination will not be applicable to appear for entrance exam. Students will not be applicable for the final selection round if they failed in the examination.

HBSAT 2018 Cut off 

Cut off marks are the at least marks need by aspirants in order to qualify the admission test. If students score less than the cut off marks then they are not applicable for admission. Students are able to complete the admission test only if they have a score equal to or more than the cut off marks.

Based on the following factors cut off marks will be decided:

  • No. of aspirants passed the exam
  • Average scores obtained by an aspirant in the entrance test.
  • Earlier year cut off marks
  • Reservation criteria of the Hyderabad Business School, GITAM 
  • Total numbers of aspirants appear for the exam
  • Difficulty level of the paper

HBSAT Counseling 2018

Counseling will be organized at Institute level. Only those aspirants will be called for counseling who have successfully completed the admission test. Students will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores in HBSAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ GMAT or ATMA.

Apart from the entrance exams scores, students have to participate in group discussion followed by individual interview constitutes the final level of selection. Final selected students have to make an initial payment in order to confirm the admission. Aspirants Managerial skills and communication skills are tested in Group Discussion & Individual Interview.

Students must bring the following list of documents at the time of counseling for verification:

  1. 10th and 12th Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination
  2. School Leaving/ Transfer Certificate
  3. Migration Certificate
  4. Hall Ticket of HBSAT 2018
  5. Category Certificate (if eligible)
  6. Class X pass certificate for verification of age
