GCET 2018 Result (Goa Common Entrance Test 2018) will be declared in the third week of May 2018. The results can be accessed on the official website of GCET. Note that GCET result is not accessed in offline method i.e., aspirants will not be getting their score card through post.GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is a gateway to courses like B.E., B.Pharm, BHMS, BAMS, Allied Health Sciences, B.Sc. in Nursing and B.Arch. in the GCET Participating Institutes.

After the declaration of GCET 2018 result, aspirants can check the merit list which will be published online. GCET 2018 Merit List of the applicable aspirants has prepared in the descending order of the qualifying GCET 2018 marks.

How to Check Result of GCET 2018

The results for GCET 2018 will be declared in the third week of May 2018 on the official website of GCET. The result must not be expected to be out in offline method i.e. through the post. However, aspirants must be complete with some facts concerned with GCET 2018 Results. Aspirants will get it via online method only. The step-by-step process to view personal as well as the result of all aspirants listed in ascending order of registration number is mentioned here.

  • Results of GCET 2018 will be released on the GCET website.
  • Personal Scorecards will not be alloted to aspirants.
  • Aspirants can view personal results along with that of all the aspirants in pdf file available for downloading in ascending order of registration number.
  • Officials will announce the merit list for admission on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination.

  • Result for GCET 2018 will be displayed.
  • Click on the “GCET Number” tab.
  • Click on ‘GCET 2018 Result
  • Enter your GCET Number and click on submit.
  • Visit the official website of GCET.

To view GCET Result 2018 of all aspirants

Alternately, there is also an option to view scores of all the aspirants via their registration numbers.

  • Visit the official website of GCET.
  • Select “All” option
  • Aspirants can search their registration number in the list and check their scores.
  • Click on ‘GCET Result 2018’.
  • List with the registration number and subject-wise scores will be displayed in ascending order.

Merit List of Goa Common Entrance Test 2018

Based on the performance of aspirants in GCET 2018, a merit list would be drawn for counseling. Aspirants ranked higher in the merit list will be given preference in seat allocation.

  • In case of any discrepancy, it must be brought to the notice of the committee within 24 hours failing which objection will not be considered.
  • Counseling and seat allocation for GCET 2018 will be based on the GCET Merit list released by the admission committee.
  • The final GCET Merit List 2018 will be displayed three days after the provisional one is released and the objections of aspirants if any are submitted and verified.  
  • Aspirants with higher rank in the merit list are given preference during counseling
  • Aspirants must verify their marks and details mentioned in the provisional merit list of GCET 2018.
  • There will be separate merit list for General Category and Reserved Category aspirants.
  • Provisional GCET 2018 Merit list will be released first wherein aspirants are supposed to verify their place in the list.
  • The merit list of GCET 2018 for applicable aspirants will be published by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa

Guidelines for GCET merit list 2018

GCET 2018 merit list will be prepared after the releasement of results. Note that merit list will be prepared separately for general category and reserved category aspirants. Aspirants required to be aware of the procedure basis which merit list is prepared. Below mentioned are the criteria followed during the preparation of GCET Merit list:

  • In the last case, it will finally be decided based on the age of the aspirant. The aspirant who is older in age will be placed higher.
  • If there is a tie in mathematics score, aspirant with more marks in chemistry will be ranked higher
  • Merit list is prepared on the aggregate of marks obtained in mathematics and physics.
  • If a tie doesn’t resolve, the aggregate marks of physics and chemistry in Class XII will be considered. An aspirant with higher aggregate marks will be placed higher. If the aggregate of the aspirants is equal, the aspirant with the higher score in chemistry will be ranked higher.
  • If two or more aspirants score the same aggregate, the aspirant with more marks in mathematics will be placed higher.

Cut Off from Goa Common Entrance Test 2018

Cut off is at least marks an aspirant has to score to be applicable for GCET Counseling and admission procedure for different courses available. The cut off is various or varies from every university or college.

  1. Highest marks scored in an exam.
  2. A number of qualified aspirants.
  3. Number of aspirants attending the exam

Counseling for Goa Common Entrance Test 2018

Counseling is the last step of GCET admission procedure. Applicable and qualified aspirants will be invited for counseling.

  • If any aspirant fails to appear for the admission rounds, their seats are provideed to other aspirants in the merit list.
  • All the aspirants have to carry hall ticket, original educational documents at the time of counseling.
  • Counseling is most likely to be organizeed in the month of June/July.
  • Qualified aspirants have to fill application form (B) for admission.
  • Final selection of any aspirant for admission in any particular course will depend on his/her written exam score, seats availability and verification of original documents.
  • Aspirants have to appear in person at the specified centre.
  • Subsequently, successful aspirants are invited to attend counseling.
  • Merit list is prepared for each course separately on the basis of marks obtained in written examination.
