CMR University Admission Test 2018

CMRUAT 2018 is a University level examination organizeed by CMR University, Karnataka. The examination is held for admission in different Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses provideed by CMR University. All aspirants who will be applicable for admission and whose application will be accepted will be allowed to appear for the admission test.

  • CMRUAT 2018 Result is expected to be out by the first week of July 2018.
  • Examination will be held in three sessions in the month of April, May and June 2018, at selected venues across the country.  
  • CMRUAT 2018 application procedure will start from the third week of March 2018.

After CMRUAT 2018 result declaration, shortlisted candidates will be applicable to take admission in CMR University.

Exam Dates of CMRUAT 2018 

CMR University will announce the official notification to fill CMRUAT 2018 Application Form in the third week of March 2018. Given below are the Important dates of CMRUAT 2018. CMRUAT 2018 entrance examination will be organizeed in three sessions in the month of April, May and June 2018. The last date of filling the application form will be in the last week of May 2018.

Eligibility Criteria of CMRUAT 2018 

Before applying for CMRUAT 2018 Exam, all aspirants must be aware of the eligibility criteria for admissions in CMR University. After completeing the eligibility criteria participant can apply for the application form. It is mandatory for all the aspirant to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the application form. Here are the Eligibility Criteria of CMRUAT 2018 which is given as follow.


  • The aspirant should have passed in 2nd PUC or XII standard or equivalent examination with Mathematics as a mandatory/optional subject.
  • The aspirant should also have an at least of 40% marks in NATA.
  • The aspirant must have an at least of 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects (45% for SC/ST and PH category).

Bachelor of Arts(Hons.) in English, Psychology &Journalism; Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA); Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com):

  • An aspirant should have passed in 10+2/PUC or equivalent in any stream.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) {Hons.}:

  • For other courses: Aspirant should have secured 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2/PUC or equivalent. An aspirant should also have secured an at least of 65% marks in English and an at least of 65% either in Accountancy or Mathematics or in any other subject concerned to commerce.
  • For B.Com. (Hons.) Integrated with ICAI Establishation courses: Aspirant should have passed in 10+2/PUC or equivalent in any stream.

Bachelor of Science(B.Sc.) in Advertising & Public Relation, Digital Media and Digital Filmmaking:

  • Aspirants are also need to submit a individual statement, outlining your background and individual and professional interests in the media.
  • Aspirant should have passed the XII standard or equivalent examination.


  • Aspirant should have passed in 10+2/PUC or equivalent in any stream, with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects.


  • Aspirant should have passed the 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with either Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical and Vocational subject with a at least of 45% marks in all subjects taken together (40% marks for SC/ST/PH category).

CMRUAT 2018 Application Form

The application procedure for CMRUAT 2018 will start from the third week of March 2018. The entrance examination for CMRUAT 2018 will be held in 3 sessions at various exam centres across India. CMRUAT 2018 registration can be done online as well as offline.

CMRUAT 2018 Online Mode

Check the steps given below to apply for CMRUAT 2018 Online Application form:

  • Step 1: Aspirants will first obligatory to register online on the website with a valid e-mail id and a mobile number, after which they will get a login ID and password.
  • Step 5: Select the date preferences for the test among the 4 options given.
  • Step 4: Upload the passport size photograph and signature with size less than 80 kb in ‘.jpg’ pattern.
  • Step 2: Log in to your account using login ID and password. Aspirant will receive their application number on their registered email address. Enter all the individual/academic details need in the application form.
  • Step 3: Aspirant will have to pay an application fee. The payment can be made online (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net banking) or offline.
  • Step 6: Submit the Application form.
  • Step 7: Take a print out of the same for future reference.

CMRUAT 2018 Offline Mode

Aspirants can obtain the application forms offline from CMR University counter. Forms can also be obtained via the post by sending a DD of requisite amount along with the “Request Application”. Aspirants should preserve a photocopy of the duly filled application form and demand draft for the future reference.

Aspirants making payment via DD have to send the DD along with a printout of filled-in application form to CMRUAT office.

Send the duly filled in and signed application form along with the application fee mentioned below payable in either cash (if submitting in person) or Demand Draft drawn in favour of CMR UNIVERSITY, payable at Bangalore.

Documents Need for CMRUAT Application Form

  • For NRI / Foreign students only: Certificate obtained from the Board Studied last, Visa, Passport, Equivalence certificate from AIU
  • Income and Caste Certificate (if eligible only)
  • Photos: Passport & Stamp size
  • Class X, XI and XII mark sheets.
  • Entrance exam score card (CMRUAT/CET/NATA/Any other)
  • Aspirant’s individual details and academic details.

Application Fee of CMRUAT 2018 

CMRUAT 2018 Application fee can be paid via two modes:

  • Via DD – drawn in favour of CMR UNIVERSITY, payable at Bangalore
  • Via Credit/Debit Cards/Net banking

CMRUAT 2018 Application fees for-

  • B.Arch., B.Tech and few courses of B.Sc. Program (Advertising and Public Relations, Broadcast and Digital Media, Digital Communication and Multimedia and Print and Online Journalism) is INR 750.
  • For B.Com, BBA, BA (Hons.) and the remaining B.Sc Courses is INR 500

Hall Ticket of CMRUAT 2018 

Aspirants will receive their CMRUAT 2018 Admit card on their registered email address, one week before the examination. Aspirant should get the printout of their hall ticket and keep with them during the examination along with the photo identity card so that they won’t face any problem while giving the exam.

Exam Format of CMRUAT 2018 

CMRUAT 2018 Entrance Test will be organizeed in an online mode. The examination paper will cover topics depending upon the course aspirant has opted for.

  • Questions will of the objective type and will vary with the course.
  • Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Class XII standard.
  • For BE/B.Tech question paper will consist of one paper with objective multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

Syllabus of CMRUAT 2018

There is no fixed syllabus for CMRUAT 2018. Aspirants must exercise all topics to get a grip on all the topics. Students are advised to prepare these sections thoroughly. However, questions will be asked from the syllabus of Class XII standard. Candidates can also exercise the earlier year’s question papers to get an idea about the kind of questions asked.

Result of CMRUAT 2018

Marks of CMRUAT 2018 will be displayed right after the completion of the online test. The result will contain the name, application number/roll number of the aspirants selected for further rounds of the admission procedure. A participant who will give the test can check CMRUAT 2018 Results for Merit list after the organization of all the three sessions.

Cut Off for CMRUAT 2018 

CMRUAT Cut off is the at least score need to secure admission in the different courses provideed by CMR University.

CMRUAT cut off will depend on a lot of factors such as:

  • Number of seats available
  • Earlier year cut off marks
  • Difficulty levels of the entrance test.
  • Number of participants

CMRUAT 2018 cut off will be published few days after the completion of all the three sessions of Admission Test. Only those students who will score more than the cut off marks will be considered as the qualified aspirants and will be applicable for admission to CMR University.

Selection Procedure of CMRUAT 2018 

Aspirants who wish to study from the academic session 2018 from CMR University will need to go via CMRUAT 2018. They will have to report to the stipulated centres for the online test. 

Aspirants will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in CMRU 2018 Admission Test.

The final selection of the aspirant will be based on:

  • BA(Hons.) Program: The options are provideed at the discretion of the University.
  • For other courses: Aspirants will be selected on the basis of marks scored in CMRUAT 2018.
