Registration for Common Management Admission Test 2018 

CMAT 2018 Registration concluded on December 25. The procedure to apply was clearly online. The steps to fill CMAT Application Form are given below:

  1. Visit the official website of CMAT.
  2. Create an account with a valid email address.
  3. Offer contact Information, individual, educational and work experience, the list of programs to send scores, and the ID that you will use at the test centre.
  4. Enter your name and date of birth exactly as indicated on the primary and secondary ID.
  5. The photograph must have a resemblance to the aspirant and to the photograph on the primary ID. This photograph is comprised of the hall ticket.
  6. Pay the registration fee through debit/credit card/ e-challan as given below:

Hall Ticket for Common Management Admission Test 2018

It is expected that the hall ticket for CMAT 2018 will announce on January 5. CMAT Hall Ticket is a compulsory document for appearing in the test. How to Download CMAT Admit Card 2018?

  1. Go to the official website of CMAT i.e. aicte-cmat.in.
  2. Click on the link to download CMAT Hall Ticket.
  3. Login via your ID and Password offered at the time of registration.
  4. The hall ticket for CMAT 2018 will appear on the screen. 
  5. Print and premature a hard copy for further use.

Results of Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2018 

AICTE is expected to announce CMAT 2018 Result on February 14. Aspirants can download their score card from aicte-cmat.in. They can use their Log-in ID and Password to reach the same.

CMAT scorecard contains information about the total and sectional scores of the aspirant. Along with the results, the examination board also announces CMAT 2018 Merit list which comprises the All India Rank of the aspirants and their scores. It contains names of the aspirants shortlisted for further selection rounds.

The CMAT 2018 Results will be released in the form of percentile. The procedure for computing percentile score is mentioned below-

Cut Off for CMAT 2018 

CMAT 2018 Cut off will be announced course-wise and category-wise for each college. Aspirants who complete CMAT cut off and fulfil other eligibility criteria will be provideed admissions in different courses. All CMAT Participating Colleges will be declaring their personal cutoff based on the merit list announced by AICTE.

Once the aspirants download their CMAT 2018 scorecard and the merit list is published, they can start applying for admission to personals and participate in the selection process of that particular institute. They are applicable to attend the selection procedure only if their score is higher than the CMAT 2018 Cut offset by the institutes.


Selection Procedure for CMAT 2018 

CMAT Selection Procedure includes Group discussion (GD) and then Individual Interview or Written Ability Test (WAT). Each college holds its personal selection rounds. 

In GD, the aspirants are segregated into groups of 10 or so and they will be given any significant topic to discuss for 5 to 10 minutes. There are different criteria on the basis of which the aspirants will receive points such as -

  • Encouragement Skills
  • Closure Skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Managerial Skills

Individual Interview is usually the final round of selection. Aspirants usually have to appear before a panel of experts/faculty members who try to assess the aspirant on the basis of their academic background, hobbies, interests, work experience, etc.

The final list of selected aspirants is declared by the institutes on the basis of the scores in CMAT 2018, GD and Individual Interview or WAT.

Q.How many times will CMAT be held now?
A. There will be 25 questions in each section of the CMAT exam.

  • The acceptable photo identification proof can be driving license, passport, PAN card, voter Id, Aadhaar card or a notarized affidavit (in English) with photo, signature, date of birth and residential address. Photocopies of the original are not acceptable.
  • You obligatory to bring a self-attested copy of the CMAT 2018 hall ticket with recent passport size photo pasted on it, minimum one original and valid (not expired) photo identification proof (to be matched with your name as entered in the CMAT application form).
  • Aspirants will not be permitted to take the CMAT 2018 exam if photo identification is not current. SC/ST/PD aspirants need to bring their valid category certificate in original and an attested photocopy. Attestation can be done by institute head also.

Q. Visually impaired or cerebral palsy aspirants will be given a time extension of twenty minutes for every hour of the test. What special accommodation would be offered to me on the test day?
A. What is the CMAT 2018 eligibility criteria for a scribe or reader?
A. After meeting with the identified scribe, you will need to submit an undertaking. You will be able to interact with the scribe a day before the examination. You will also be offered with a time extension of one hour for the computer-based test.
  
Q. The scribe must:  I belong to the PD category for low vision/blindness/cerebral palsy. Scribe facility can also be offered by AICTE if you would opt for it. So for three hours’ test, you will get a total of extra one hour.
  
Q. How much more time will be given to the visually impaired or cerebral palsy aspirants in CMAT 2018?
A. Visually impaired and cerebral palsy aspirants will be allowed to bring a scribe or reader as per the scribe norms mentioned on the CMAT official website.

All AICTE approved institutes, departments, constituent colleges and affiliated colleges of universities are expected to accept CMAT scores.
