AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018 (Annamalai University All India Medical Entrance Exam Pharmacy 2018) is organized by Annamalai University every year for admission B. Pharma and Pharma-D. Pharma, M. Pharma, D.

Aspirants can fill the AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018 Application form from the first week of May 2018. The aspirant must have passed 10+2 examination and must be an Indian National. AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018 Exam will be organized in offline method and will have 240 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The aspirants must check their AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018 Eligibility Criteria before applying.

Eligibility Criteria of AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018

The aspirants want admission in pharmacy programmes of Annamalai University must ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. In case an aspirant is established unable to satisfy any of the said requirements, his application may be liable for rejection. The detailed AU AIMEE 2018 eligibility criteria for various programmes are explained below:

B. Pharm

  • The aspirants must have passed in each subject of the HSC qualifying exam with at least applicable marks.
  • The aspirants must be Indian nationals.
  • The aspirants must be17 years of age on or before 31st December 2018.
  • The subjects need are:

(Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology) or (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any other subject)

  • The at least applicable marks in 10+2 exam are as follows:
  1. For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Aspirants - At Least of 35% of marks in personal subjects and not less than 40% aggregate marks overall
  2. For SC / SCA / ST Aspirants - 35% of marks in personal subjects and not less than 35% aggregate marks overall
  3. An at least of 35% marks in English
  • For aspirants belonging to Tamil Nadu:
  1. Those who have passed Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in Tamil Nadu can apply without required to offer the "Nativity Certificate".
  2. Those who have passed any of Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII or their equivalent exam from schools located outside Tamil Nadu can also apply but they will be required to offer a copy of the "Nativity Certificate".
  3. All aspirants who are children of All India Service Tamil Nadu Cadre Officers are applicable.
  4. Those whose parents are Central Government employees can apply, regardless of their nativity, given that their parents or guardians (if neither parent is alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past 5 years at the time of application submission.
  5. Those who are children of employees in Public Sector or Government recognised Institutions who have been employed in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of application submission can also apply, regardless of their domicile.
  6. Aspirants belonging to other states who have studied Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in Tamil Nadu can also apply without enclosing the "Nativity Certificate".
  • For aspirants belonging to other states and who have not studied Class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII from Tamil Nadu:
  1. Such aspirants can apply however regardless of their category, they will be considered under open competition.
  2. Also, they will be considered only after all Tamil Nadu aspirants have been exhausted.

B. Pharm (Lateral Entry)

  • The aspirants must be Indian nationals.
  • Overseas citizens of India are applicable to apply if registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).
  • The aspirant must hold a Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharm) from Annamalai University or an equivalent university.
  • The aspirant must have scored an overall aggregate of not less than 50% marks in the first and second-year exams of D. Pharm.
  • The aspirant must be 17 years of age as on 31-12-2018.

D. Pharm

  • The aspirants with B.Sc. Degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics as subjects are also applicable.
  • Overseas citizens of India are applicable to apply if registered under section 7A of the Citizenship Act 1955 (Central Act 57 of 1955).
  • The aspirant must have passed HSC exam or equivalent with the following subjects: Physics and Chemistry, along with Biology (or) Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics.
  • The aspirant must be 17 years of age as on 31-12-2018.
  • The aspirants must be Indian nationals.

M. Pharm

  • Aspirants must have passed HSC exam with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with either Mathematics or Biology or Botany and Zoology.
  • Aspirants belonging to states other than Tamil Nadu are also applicable to apply. However, regardless of the category, they will be considered under open competition, after exhausting all Tamil Nadu aspirants.
  • The aspirants must be 17 years of age as on 31.12.2018.
  • Those with a pass in D. Pharm from an institution that has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India are also applicable.
  • Aspirants belonging to SC/SCA/ST categories required only a pass in the B. Pharm course.
  • The aspirants must have a B. Pharm degree from Annamalai University or an equivalent university with not less than 50% marks.

Application Procedure for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018 Application Procedure will be made available online in the first week of May 2018. The aspirants will have about a month to clear the procedure of filling the application form. Any updates will be announced on the official website and aspirants are advised to check in frequently.

The aspirant will have to send the finished printed application form along with the need documents and certificates through Speed Post / Registered Post in a Thick Kraft Envelope of size 30 cm x 24 cm with stamps affixed to the value of Rs. 30.

The DD or Bank challan will also have to be comprised in the envelope in case offline payment has been made. The aspirants must remember to write the name of the programme applied for, on top of the envelope.

Application Fee for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018

The registration fee that the participants required to pay is Rs. 300. The aspirants also have the option to pay the fee offline though either a Demand Draft (DD) or a bank challan. The fees can be paid online through the online gateway.

Method of Payment for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018

The bank challan details will have to be entered while filling the form after the fee has been paid at the university counter. The details will also have to be offered in case of DD. In case two or more aspirants have obtained an equal score, the rank of these aspirants will be decided on the basis of the rules mentioned below:

  • If Biology or (Botany and Zoology) percentage is same, the percentage obtained by the aspirants in Chemistry in HSC exam will be considered.
  • If percentage in the optional subject is same, then preference will be given to the older aspirant.
  • Percentage obtained by the aspirants in Biology or (Botany and Zoology) in HSC exam.
  • If age is also exactly same, then computerized random number will be assigned and preference will be given to the higher value.
  • If Chemistry percentage is same, the percentage obtained by the aspirants in the fourth optional subject in HSC exam will be considered.

Reservation Criteria for AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018

Counseling Procedure of AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018

The students who have qualified the exam by scoring the at least cut-off marks will be called for the counseling procedure of AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018.

The counseling procedure will be organized online and aspirants will be able to practice their options.The counseling procedure will begin after the merit list has been released tentatively in the second week of July 2018.

The aspirants will need to pay a fee of Rs. 2000 (Rs. 500 for SC/SCA/ ST aspirants) to participate in the counseling procedure. This fee can be paid by cash or DD in favor of "The Registrar, Annamalai University" payable at Chennai at the time of counseling.

  • In case, the aspirant is unable to report for some reason, he must authorize his parents to attend the counseling procedure.
  • The counseling procedure for differently abled participants will be held first.
  • Once called, aspirants will have to report to the Administrative Office of Annamalai University.
  • Aspirants must report at the specified venue on the given date with the necessary documents.
  • Aspirants can choose the course they seeking admission in and the college they seeking to attend.
  • Those aspirants who paid the counseling fee and were not allotted any seat in the procedure will be placed on the waiting list.
  • The aspirants will be called for the procedure of Counseling on the basis of their merit.

AU AIMEE Pharmacy 2018 Counseling for Special Reservation Categories

Those aspirants who seeking to apply for special reservation categories of seats must first ensure that they satisfy the rules that have been specified for admission procedure.

Important points to keep in mind about this counseling procedure are:

  • First, aspirants with the disability of lower limbs in the range of 50% to 70% will be considered.
  1. If aspirants are not available in the specified range, then the aspirants with the disability of lower limbs in the range of 40% to 50% will be considered.
  • The aspirants will be required to produce a certificate from the District Medical Board of the area related. This Board has been constituted to assess the extent of disability of the aspirant.
  1. The pattern for the certificate will be available on the official website and aspirants must produce the certificate in this pattern only. A certificate in any other pattern will not be accepted under any circumstance.
  2. The aspirant must also ensure that the certificate has been obtained in a duration of three months prior to submitting the application form. If obtained previous, the application of the aspirant will be liable for rejection.
  • Additionally, the aspirant must also ensure that his upper limbs, his vision, and his hearing abilities are normal.
  • The aspirant who wants admission under this Special Reservation Category will need to produce a full-sized photograph that completely exhibits the deformity.
  • A key point to be noted is that aspirants with any other disability other than the locomotor disability of the lower limb will not be considered for admission under this special category.
