Assam Common Entrance Examination 2018 Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Date

Assam CEE (Assam Common Entrance Examination) is a state level exam organized by Dibrugarh University, Assam. This exam is scheduled for admission to B.E. courses across colleges in Assam. CEE Assam 2018 enables admission to different Government/Private colleges/institutes of the state of Assam. It is expected to be organized in June 2018.

The admission is provided by 6 government institutes and 9 private institutions across Assam. The total seats for all disciplines of engineering are 1700.

Given below is a quick synopsis of the important events concerned to Assam CEE:

  • Topics from Class XI and Class XII AHSEC Syllabus are comprised of Assam CEE Syllabus.
  • Assam CEE Application form has to be filled online from the third week of March 2018. Visit dteassam.in to fill the application and register for the exam
  • Assam CEE Hall Ticket will be allocated in last week of May 2018 to the participants on the official website.
  • It is 3-hour period exam with 120 objective type questions. The questions are divided equally into three sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
  • 4 marks are given for each accurate response while 1 mark is deducted for each inaccurate response.
  • Keep the soft copy of your passport size photo and signature before filling the application form. The application fee is INR 600 which must be remitted either in online or offline mode.
  • The at least academic qualification needs to apply for Assam CEE is Class XII with Science subjects. Only Assamese can apply for the exam

Assam CEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility conditions to apply for Assam CEE are as follows:

  • Age: The age of the aspirant should be between 17 and 22 years as on December 31, 2018. However, for reserving categories, there is age relaxation.
  • Nationality: Aspirants must be of Indian citizen.
  • Residential Eligibility: Aspirant should be a permanent resident of Assam. He or she must have spent a at least of 20 years time in Assam state. The children of officers of All India services working in Assam are exempted from the above condition, however, they should study from class 7 to class 12 in schools of Assam recognised by the Assam Board. Aspirants, whose parents are transferred out of Assam, are applicable for relaxation during the duration for which their parents were living outside.

Academic qualifications

  • Applying aspirants must mass class 12th from a recognised board/university. Aspirants appearing in class 12 and whose results are awaited can also apply.
  • Aspirants must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in class 12.
  • Aspirants must obtain 50% marks in class 12 examination (45% for SC and 40% for ST aspirants).

Assam CEE 2018 Application Form

Assam CEE 2018 Application form will be available from last week of March 2018 onwards. Fill the Assam CEE Application form on the official website of DTE. It should be filled in only after reading the information brochure correctly.

Assam CEE 2018 Registration and Filling the Form

  • Read the information brochure and instructions cautiously before filling the form and click Next
  • Visit the official website of Dibrugarh University, Assam i.e. ceemedu.org
  • Find the link for application form for Assam CEE and click on the link
  • Enter the individual, academic and contact details correctly. Make sure you have accurate documents to prove the authenticity of the information mentioned.
  • Select your preferred exam center after which you have to upload the need documents.

Assam CEE 2018 Uploading Documents

  • Upload the scanned images of your recent photo and signature in JPEG pattern
  • Upload by clicking on Choose File button and selecting the image from the accurate location on the computer
  • The maximum size of the image should be 100 Kb.
  • After uploading the documents, submit the application form. Note down the generated application number
  • The dimensions of the photo must be 200 x 230 (width x height) and the size of the signature must be 140 x 60 (width x height)

Assam CEE 2018 Application Fee Payment

  • For offline payment, aspirants will be handed the Bank Challan which should be submitted along with the application form.
  • Application fee: Rs. 600
  • Payments shall be reflected and updated in the aspirant’s profile after 4-5 days of payment.
  • Aspirants have to submit the Assam CEE 2018 application fee via online payment (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Cards) or by offline payments at any discipline of State Bank of India.
  • Assam CEE 2018 Application forms will be considered valid only after deposition of the application fee. 

Assam CEE 2018 Hall Ticket

Only those aspirants who have filled and submitted the application form with the application fees will be able to download Assam CEE 2018 hall ticket from May 25, 2018 onwards. Admit cards will be available only online.

Assam CEE 2018 Exam Format

Assam CEE is conductd in offline method by Dibrugarh University. It is expected to be organizeed in June 2018. There are 120 questions in each section of the exam to be solved in 180 minutes. The questions are objective type in nature. Here are few highlights of Assam CEE Exam Format:

  • There are questions based on the topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • There 40 MCQs in each section of the exam carrying a total weightage of 480 marks
  • Each question in Assam CEE carries 4 marks.
  • It is a single window examination to be solved in 3 hours.
  • Attempt the exam using only blue/black ball point pen
  • There is negative marking in the exam so you lose 1 mark for every inaccurate response.

Assam CEE 2018 syllabus will be as per the class 12 syllabus of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or NCERT. Aspirants can study these subjects and NCERT textbooks. The whole syllabus for Assam CEE will consist of multiple choice questions on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Assam CEE 2018 Response key

The Response Key of Assam CEE 2018 will be announced immediately after completion of the entrance examination. Aspirants should compare their responses with that of the response key. The response key also helps the aspirants to cross-check their responses with the ones given in the response key. This will give them an idea about their performance in the entrance test. This way, they can calculate their expected marks and evaluate their performance.

Assam CEE 2018 Result

  • Take a print-out of your result card
  • Enter your Roll number
  • Visit the site ceemedu.org
  • Click on the Assam CEE 2018 Result
  • Log in using your application number and password
  • Your result will be displayed on the screen

Note: The evaluation of the OMR Response Sheet filled by aspirants and the procedureing of results are done with the help of computer. There is no separate provision for the manual evaluation of the OMR Sheets made by DTE Assam.

Assam CEE 2018 Counseling

All short-listed aspirants qualifying the Assam CEE 2018 exam will be called for counseling. The seats will be allotted on the basis of the course opted for at the time of filling up the application form. Aspirants must be available on the day of counselling allotted with all the need documents. However, this also depends on the availability of seats in different colleges and reserved categories. The documents (both original and self-attested photocopy) that required to be shown are as follows:

Assam CEE 2017 Admission Fee of INR 7450 has to be paid after verification. The fee can be remitted by reporting at the allotted institute on the same day of Assam CEE counseling.
