AP PGECET 2018 Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Date, Syllabus

AP PGECET is a state level exam organized for aspirants want admission in the field of Engineering, Technology and Pharmacy courses. But before filling the registration form, it is important for the aspirants to check the eligibility criteria set by APSCHE. AP PGECET 2018 is scheduled in May 2018 where the Application Form will be available from March 2018. It is organized by JNTU Hyderabad (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada) by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education).

AP PGECET Exam Format has 120 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) and will be held in an Online mode. Aspirants completing the exam will be applicable for participating in the counselling procedure. Aspirants appearing will be given 2 hours to clear the test and the results for this particular exam will be released on the official website.

The Application Procedure begins in March 2018. The procedure is organized in Online mode. JNTU Hyderabad is yet to announce the official exam dates for the state level entrance exam. Given below are the tentative dates for the exam:

AP PGECET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

JNTU Hyderabad has set an eligibility standard for each course for which the entrance exam will be held. They required ensuring that they satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility guidelines before applying for the AP PGECET 2018 exam. Aspirants failing the eligibility at any level are informed that their candidature will be canceled.

The eligibility guidelines for AP PGECET are given below:

  • For Pharmacy Courses: Aspirants must score 55% or more in the qualifying examination, 50% for the SCs and STs and other reserved categories.
  • Aspirants must have permanent residency of Andhra Pradesh state or should have lived for a substantial amount of time.
  • For Engineering courses: Aspirants must score 50% or more in the qualifying examination, 45% for the Reserved Categories.
  • Aspirants must be Indian National.
  • Aspirants should meet the local /non-local status requirements pre-determined for admissions.

Note: Aspirants applying on the basis of GATE or GPAT scores required not apply for AP PGECET 2018. They will have to follow various application procedure.

Application Fee

The application fee for AP PGECET for General category is INR 600. The fee has to be paid at the time of online registration.

Application Procedure of AP PGECET 2018

Aspirants are expected to fill in the http://www.appgecet.org/index.aspx (AP PGECET 2018 Application Form) to apply for this exam. The application form is available online. For easy understanding, a step by step procedure to fill the form is given below: The procedure starts by paying the application fee for registration.

AP PGECET 2018, AP PGECET

Step 1: Payment for AP PGECET 2018 Application Form- There is a set fee that an aspirant has to pay before proceeding to the next level i.e. Registration for the entrance exam.

Step 2: Registration- This is the next step where all the details (individual/ academic) has to be mentioned.

Step 3: Uploading of Documents- In this step, the aspirant needs to upload their Photograph and signature as per the set standard size.

Step 4: Save & Download- After completing all the steps mentioned above, the aspirant should make sure to review their form before submitting it. And after cautiously reviewing, then click on the ‘Submit’ tab. Then, a confirmation page will appear. Save the confirmation and download it.

FORGOT REGISTRATION NUMBER

In case of forgotten registration number or id, the aspirant can retrieve it by visiting the official website. Transaction id, date of birth and mobile number will require recovering the forgotten registration id.

FORGOT TRANSACTION NUMBER

In case of the forgotten transaction number, the aspirant must visit the official website and details such as payment source, mobile number, and date of birth, SSC admit card number and SSC year of passing will be needed.

CORRECTION IN APPLICATION FORM

In case of inaccurate details in the application form, the aspirant can request corrections to be made. For this to happen, the aspirant has to visit the official website and his or her date of birth, registration ID and mobile number will be needed. Then, the aspirant will be able to edit any wrong fields in the form and offer accurate information.

AP PGECET Hall Ticket 2018

The primary document i.e., the hall ticket is to be carried on the day of the exam. The hall ticket or the admit card for AP PGECET 2018 will contain information regarding the aspirant like Aspirant’s Name, Photograph & Signature, Exam Venue, Exam Date & Time and Instructions. Aspirant failing to bring this document, the aspirant will not be granted entry inside the exam hall/test center.

For aspirants who have applied, the hall ticket can be downloaded from the official website. Mentioned below are the steps to download the AP PGECET Admit Card.

Step 1: Visit the AP PGECET Official Website.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Download AP PGECET Admit Card’

Step 3: After clicking, a new screen will appear where an aspirant required to their AP PGECET Registration No. and selected test as specified in the application form.

Step 4: Now, after submitting the details your AP PGECET Admit Card will appear. It is recommended to go via all the details before downloading the document.

Step 5: View and save the AP PGECET 2017 Admit Card.

Note: In case of any discrepancy establish, it is important to approach the organizing body immediately. 

Exam Format for AP PGECET 2018

TSCHE has set the AP PGECET 2018 exam format. AP PGECET Results 2018

JNTU Hyderabad will announce the AP PGECET 2018 Results after the exam is organizeed. The results will be declared on the official website of TS EAMCET or JNTU Hyderabad. Therefore, to view the obtained result and rank, below steps are need to be followed: The AP PGECET 2018 results will be released in total marks and rank obtained pattern.

Step 1: Visit the official website of AP PGECET 2018.

Step 2: Enter the hall ticket number and click on submit.

Step 3: The aspirant will be able to view the percentile and rank obtained along with the qualifying status.

Step 4: Download the AP PGECET 2018 rank card.

To qualify for further procedure, a aspirant is need to score a pre-determined cut-off score. This at least cut-off score will be available for download on the date of notification releasement.

Counseling Procedure of AP PGECET 2018

After the declaration of the results, shortlisted aspirants will be called for the AP PGECET 2018 Counseling. The procedure will be done according to the merit of the aspirants and their scores achieved in AP PGECET 2018 and in GATE/ GPAT 2018.

The counselling begins with document verification, the standard operating process for any government exam. Thereafter, the aspirants are asked to fill and lock their choices for seat allocation procedure.
