After the conclusion of NEET on May 10, 2018, aspirants can calculate their marks by downloading the NEET Response Key and OMR sheet from the official website. CBSE will announce both in June 2018 before they declare the Result for NEET. They can refer to the scanned images of their OMR Sheets and calculate their NEET score by matching their answers with those given in the Response Key.

In case of any discrepancies, they can challenge the Response Key within the specified time duration after paying a fee of Rs. 1000 per question. Once you have calculated your marks, you can check out the NEET cutoff released by colleges last year.

NEET OMR Sheet and Answers

The images of aspirants’ OMR Sheets and answers will be uploaded on the official website by CBSE. Aspirants are advised to check their response sheets cautiously. In case of any discrepancies, they will have about two days to challenge the OMR Sheet and Answers.

Response Key of NEET 2018

CBSE will announce the Response Key soon after the exam on the official website. Aspirants can match their answers with the Response Key and if they find any inconsistencies, they may challenge the same.

How to check Response Key and OMR Sheet?

  1. Visit the official website for CBSE NEET.
  2. Enter your login credentials.
  3. Once your account opens, you can view or download the Response Key and your OMR Sheet as an image for further use.

Challenging the Response Key and OMR Sheet

If the aspirants find any mistakes in the scanned images of their NEET Response Key or OMR Sheet, they can challenge the same in the following attitude:

  1. Visit the official website and fill the form for challenging the OMR Sheet or Response Key.
  2. Pay a fee of INR 1000 for every challenging question.
  3. A confirmation page will be generated after the payment has been made. Aspirants are advised to take a print out of the same for future reference.
  4. If CBSE accepts the challenge, the fee will be refunded to the aspirant.

Warning alloted by CBSE for NEET 2018

It has come to CBSE’s notice that aspirants make changes in the downloaded copies of their OMR Sheets and then claim that the CBSE has tampered with them. This act of false claim comes under Unfair Means and Exercises in Rule 9.1 (k) and (l) of chapter 9 in the Information Bulletin. Such aspirants will be barred from giving NEET in the future as per exam rules.

Ans. For exact date of hosting, aspirants may remain in touch with website. The images of OMR Sheet and Answers captured by the machine will be displayed on the website

Ques. Is there any provision to challenge the answer(s) against the OMR grading?


  1. Aspirants will be given an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR grading on payment of Rs.1000/- per answer challenged.
  2. Rs.1000/- per answer will be refunded to aspirant if his/her challenge is accepted by the Board.

Ques. Will there be negative marking in NEET 2018?

Ans. Yes. Each accurate response will get 04 marks and for each inaccurate answer, 01 marks will be deducted from the total score.

Ques. How long is the result of NEET 2018 valid?

Ans. The result of successful aspirants of NEET 2018 is valid for the academic session 2018-19 only.
