ACLAT 2018 Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Date, Syllabus

ACLAT (Alliance University Common Law Admission Test) is organized by Alliance School of Law organized in the 3rd week of May every year for admissions to different undergraduate law courses in the University.

  • Period of the exam is 2 hours.
  • Results are released in the form of Merit List. Aspirants can check the same by providing their date of birth and registration number.
  • Both the application form and fee can be submitted online, via its official website or in person to the admission office of the University.
  • Applications for the test can be submitted in online as well as offline mode.
  • Paper for ACLAT 2018 will be divided into 5 parts namely Language Proficiency, General Awareness, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning & Analytical Ability, and Numerical Ability.
  • There are 200 objective type questions. Every accurate answer is given 1 mark and a negative marking of 0.5 marks is done for every wrong response.
  • ACLAT is held across 9 exam centers in the country to make it more accessible for the aspirants.
  • ACLAT 2018 Hall Ticket will be available from 2nd week of May on the official website of Alliance School of Law,
  • 10+2 pass with minimum 45% aggregate aspirants is applicable to appear for the test. The aspirant should be minimum 20 years of age.

ACLAT 2018 Counselling is held in different cities across various centers of the shortlisted aspirants. Individual Interview is tentatively scheduled for the 2nd week of June for selected aspirants.

Know About ACLAT 2018 Application Form


Aspirants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria in order to get admission via ACLAT 2018. The eligibility criteria for ACLAT 2018 is mentioned below: Candidature will stand canceled at any stage if the aspirant is establish flouting the eligibility norms.


  • Reserved Category Students including ST/SC/Backward classes, relaxation up to 2 years has been offered. They should not be more than 22 years at the time of admission.
  • General Category aspirants must not be more than 20 years of age at the time of admission

NUMBERS OF ATTEMPTS/RESIDENTIAL CRITERIA- There are no boundaries for the residence or number of attempts an aspirant can make, set by the university to give ACLAT 2018.


  • The aspirant must have passed 10+2 examination from any school/Institute/university as recognised by the state or national board of education.
  • The aspirant must have scored minimum 45% marks in aggregate. Reserved category aspirants including SC/ST must have 40% in aggregate.
  • Aspirants having valid score of any of the following National Level Exam-
  1. CLAT- At least 100 score
  2. LSAT INDIA/LSAT- At least 65 score
  3. ACLAT- qualified Alliance Common Law Admission Test

Aspirants can fill ACLAT 2018 Application Form online as well as offline both. Following are the steps to fill the application form: The procedure is expected to begin in the May 1st week 2018. The application form is available on the official website of Alliance University.

  • Scanned copies should not be more than 2mb and are allowed in JPEG, JPG, PNG, and PDF pattern.

  • Pay using a Demand Draft also in favor of Alliance University payable at Bangalore.

ACLAT 2018 will be organized in offline method (pen and paper-based test). Aspirants should go via the detailed ACLAT 2018 Exam Format to understand the format of questions and weight of important topics.

Alliance University is expected to release results for ACLAT 2018 in the 1st week of June. The result will be published in the form of merit list containing marks scored by the aspirants. The list is announced on the official website of Alliance for reference. Check the steps below to know the result of aspirants.

After the results are released, aspirants shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance test are called for the counseling procedure. The counseling procedure is organized in offline mode. Shortlisted aspirants need to appear for counseling and interview in order of their ranks.

All the selected aspirants must access the allotted venue on the stipulated time for counselling and subsequent rounds of admission procedure. Counselling for the session 2018 will start from 2nd week of June. It consists of an Interview round via which aspirants get admission in different courses depending upon their score and Interview performance.
