UPSC Recruitment 2018: For 4 Posts of Translator and Assistant Director Safety

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) has invited applications for the positions of Translator and Assistant Director Safety. Check Here Steps to Apply for UPSC Appointment 2018 The positions provided are based on permanent induction of aspirants and they belong to Group ‘A’, gazetted and non-ministerial level posts.  All the interested aspirants required to apply on the official site of UPSC, upsconline.nic.in before March 15, 2017.

The last date to take the printout of the online application form is on or before March 16, 2018. All the details regarding the number of vacancies, eligibility criteria for each post and selection procedure is discussed at length below. Aspirants will be selected for the above-mentioned posts on the basis of individual interview round.

UPSC is yet to release any details for schedule or venue of interview round. The same will be intimated on the official website of commission after closing of application form window.

UPSC Recruitment 2018 Eligibility Criteria and Vacancy Details

The eligibility criteria for each post along with the number of vacancies and pay scale is tabulated below for reference of aspirants.

Note:

  • Post no. 2 and 3 are reserved for Other Backward Classes & Scheduled Tribe aspirants.
  • SC/ST/OBC Aspirants have to produce a caste certificate in prescribed proforma to claim age relaxation and other reservation.
  • The age limit shown against all items is the normal age limit and upper age limit age is relaxable for SC/ST aspirants upto 5 years and upto 3 years for OBC aspirants in respect of vacancies reserved for them.

UPSC Recruitment 2018 Application Process

Aspirants can check the steps below to apply for the post of Translator and Assistant Director Safety. Before starting the process, participants must be willing with a scanned copy of a photograph and signature with given specifications.

  • Click on “Online Appointment Application (ORA) for Different Appointment Posts”.
  • Transaction ID & Date of Registration details will upload automatically.
  • Fill the details and submit the form.
  • Next, fill the individual profile, contact details, age relaxation if eligible.
  • Upload the photograph & signature.
  • Now fill the details of transaction ID and Date of Transaction (for cash fee payments only).
  • Fill the details concerned to Qualification, Experience, Professional Registration, Language, Miscellaneous Module.
  • Select the Appointment Test Centre.
  • Click on “New Registration”.
  • Visit the website www.upsconline.nic.in.
  • Via transaction ID, revisit the website and click on the “Click here to view your Earlier/ Presently active applications”.
  • Now upload documents in Document Upload Module.
  • In case of offline payment, aspirant required to pay the cash at any discipline of State Bank of India via the Pay-in-Slip.
  • Finally, take the printout of the online application.
  • Aspirants must pay a fee using Internet banking facility in SBI or other affiliated banks or via Visa/ Master Debit or Credit card allowed by any Bank/ Institution.

UPSC Recruitment 2018 Important Documents Need for Applying

  1. Participants can apply for the given posts via the website, www.upsconline.nic.in.
  2. Given below are the documents which should be uploaded to the website while applying:
  • A documentary to show any other claim made.
  • Degree/Diploma certificate as proof of educational qualification claimed.
  • Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating the date of birth, or the mark sheet allocated by Central/State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of the claim of age.
  • Order/letter specifying the aspirant being the part of the organization from where the education is being claimed.
  • Certificate from the head of the institution mentioning basic and consolidated salary. The certificate must mention the nature of duties, experience, and duration. The certificate must be submitted in the prescribed pattern.
  • A declaration is needed in the given pattern by the aspirant want reservation as OBC.
  • Physically handicapped participant must offer the certificate for recruitment to the post based on prescribed standards of Medical Fitness.
  • Caste certificate of the participant who belongs to SC/ST/OBC.
  1. If any aspirant seekings to apply for more than one post, then one has to apply separately for both posts.
  2. After submitting ORA, one must take the print out of the final application.

Aspirants shortlisted for the interview must send the self-attested copies of the certificates claimed to the commission as and when need.

For Interview

The aspirant must current the duly filled online application, stipulated documents along with self-attested copies at the time of interview. Apart from that,

  • Order/ letter for the claim against equivalent claimed, indicating the Authority, in respect of equivalent clause in essential qualifications if an aspirant is claiming a qualification as equivalent qualification as per the requirement of advertisement.
  • Physically handicapped participant must offer the certificate for recruitment to the post based on prescribed standards of Medical Fitness.
  • Cast certificate for want reservation.
  • Matriculation or 10th pass certificate indication the age of the participant.
  • In case, the aspirant who claims the name change after matriculation must produce the following documents:
  • Degree/Diploma certificate along with all the mark sheet indicating the educational proofs.
  • Certificate from the head of the institution mentioning basic and consolidated salary. The certificate must mention the nature of duties, experience, and duration. The certificate must be submitted in the prescribed pattern.
  1. The marriage of women- Photocopy of husband’s passport and a joint photograph sworn before oath commissioner
  2. Re-marriage of women- Divorce/Death certificate and photocopy of current husband’s passport and a joint photograph sworn before oath commissioner
  3. The divorce of women- Certified copy of Divorce Decree and Deed Poll/Affidavit duly sworn before the Oath Commissioner
  4. Change of name of both men and women- Affidavit sworn by oath commissioner, 2 clippings of leading newspaper along with gazette notification
  • Valid documents for claiming age-relaxation for various categories must be offered in the requisite pattern.
