A aspirant must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.Com / B.A. / B.Sc / B.Tech / BBA etc) from University recognized, incorporated and established under the rules of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions / universities / established by Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956
NOTE 1: A aspirant, who has appeared in final exam of Graduation, will also be applicable for admission to UPSC CAPF exam. At the time of final selection after qualifying in written exam, physical & medical test and interview, the aspirant will have to produce proof of having qualified graduation degree exam.
NOTE II: In some cases, the UPSC may permit an aspirant to apply for UPSC CAPF who is not applicable as per academic qualification, if aspirant has passed an exam conducted by the other Institutions, the standard of which justifies for applying at the discretion of UPSC
NOTE III: A professional and technical qualifications (B.Tech / M.Tech / B.Arch etc.) which are recognized by Central / State Government as a professional or technical degree would also be applicable for UPSC CAPF.

UPSC CAPF 2018 Application form will be finished in 2 parts. First part is registration procedure. On submitting this part of application form Registration ID will be generated. Aspirants shall be alloted a Hall Ticket three weeks before the commencement of UPSC CAPF 2018 exam. The e-admission certificate will be made available online on the UPSC website, www.upsc.gov.in and www.upsconline.nic.in for downloading by aspirants.
Hall Ticket will not be sent by post to aspirants in any case. For downloading Hall Ticket for UPSC CAPF 2018 aspirant must have RID (Registration Identity) & Date of Birth or Roll No. (if received) & date of birth or name, father's name & Date of Birth whichever is available.

If an aspirant does not receive Hall Ticket or any other communication regarding candidature for UPSC CAPF 2018 exam three weeks before the commencement of the exam, should contact the UPSC office. The Selection Process of UPSC CAPF 2018 Exam will be as follows:
UPSC CAPF 2018 written exam to be organizeed by UPSC will be held in July 2018 and will include two papers. The timing for Paper I will be from 10 a.m. Morning to 12.00 Noon and Paper II will start from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The questions in this paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions and will be given in both the language English as well as Hindi.
Aspirant will have the option to choose the medium of writing the Essay component either in English or in Hindi, but in the remaining part of Paper II, there will not be an option, the aspirant will have to respond in English only.
NOTE I: UPSC has allowed aspirant to choose language either Hindi or English to write essay in Paper II
NOTE-II: There will be at least qualifying marks separately in each Paper as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion. Passing in Paper-I will qualify for evaluation of Paper-II; therefore, at least qualifying marks will have to be obtained in Paper I for next round.
NOTE-III: Negative Marking Scheme will be applied to Paper-1. Marks 1/3 or 33% of Marks assigned to the Question for which Wrong Response is given. Suppose Mark assigned to a Question is 6 then on wrong response – 1/3 or 33% of 6 i.e. 2 marks will be deducted.

General Ability and Intelligence: Under this subject, 6 topics will be covered and objective type multiple choice questions will be asked.

Result for UPSC CAPF 2018 written exam is expected to be declared in last week of August 2018 or in the first week of September 2018. If an aspirant secures at least qualifying marks in Paper 1 only then response sheet of Paper 2 will be considered for checking.
A Merit will be released on the basis of UPSC CAPF 2018 Written Exam and Interview which make total marks 600.

Aspirants who are declared qualified in UPSC CAPF 2018 written exam will be called for next round i.e. Physical Standards / Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Test.
The selected aspirant is applicable for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandant. as is directed by the authorised officer. They must send or current original documents concerned to the category, academic qualification, residential proof, hall ticket and scorecard etc.
If aspirant qualifies meeting Physical Standards as per the norms of selections, will be applicable for Physical Efficiency Test as mentioned below:

(ii)Interview / Individuality Test:
Aspirant, qualified in Medical Standards Test, will be called for Next Phase i.e., Interview and Individuality Test which will be organizeed by UPSC. Aspirant, who has made an appeal before Review Medical Board against declaring physically unfit, will also be applicable for Interview and Individuality Test.
The Interview and Individuality Test will be for 150 Marks. Aspirant short-listed for Interview and Individuality Test will have to submit Detailed Application Form denoting a preference for forces.
(iii) Final Selection / Merit:
Final Selections will be based on the merit list constructed involving marks secured by the aspirants in the Written Exam and Interview / Individuality Test.
