TS LAWCET 2018 Notification Released, Exam on May 25

TS LAWCET is a state-level law entrance examination for admissions to 3 year and 5 year LLB courses provided by Telangana State Colleges/ Universities. This year, Osmania University will hold the exam on May 25 in the online method.

The official website of TS LAWCET 2018 i.e. www.lawcet.tsche.ac.in will become active shortly. The registration window for all Indian citizens satisfying local/ non-local status will be open from 3rd week of March 2018. Every year, around 15 thousand aspirants apply online for Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test.

Aspirants having their name on the Merit list can participate in TS LAWCET Counselling, which will take place after the declaration of results in June 2018. Official dates for TS LAWCET 2018 have been released by the related authority. From this year onwards, the law entrance examination will be organized through online method only.

TS LAWCET Procedure 2018

The entire procedure for Telangana Law exam is similar to that of AP LAWCET. Listed below is a brief for the same: It begins from registration and ends on counseling for final admissions.

Step 1: Filling in TS LAWCET Law Application Form

Law candidates can fill in the application form in March 2018. It will be available online at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. Registration can be done by following the steps listed below:

  1. Payment of Registration Fee – aspirants can reach the form by paying the application fee. General Category has to pay INR 350 and SC/ ST category has to pay INR 250.
  2. Fill in the Online Form – enter individual, academic and examination details.
  3. Uploading Documents – there are certain guidelines defined by the organizing body that obligatory to be followed at the time of scanning and uploading.   
  4. Final Submission – it is important to preview the online form before finally submitting it.

Step 2: Download TS LAWCET 2018 Hall Ticket

The admit card will be announced one week before the TS LAWCET 2018. Listed below are important points concerned to the hall ticket: The document will be announced on the official website of TS LAWCET/ TSCHE.

  • it contains crucial information concerned with the exam, like aspirant’s name & roll number, name and code of exam center, date and time of the exam, etc.
  • will not be delivered by post or any other mode of correspondence.
  • carry a hard copy of hall ticket, along with a valid ID proof to the exam center.

Step 3: Appearing for TS LAWCET 2018 Exam

The exam is scheduled for May 25. Some of the important information about the TS LAWCET 2018 exam is mentioned below.

  • There are 120 objective type questions, to be solved in 90 minutes.
  • The exam will be held in Telugu and English languages.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • The exam includes three sections, namely General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Present Affairs and Aptitude for the Study of Law.

Step 4: Announce of TS LAWCET 2018 Result

TSCHE will announce the results in the last week of June 2018. Check the result on the official website of the university. For all future references, aspirants are advised to take a hard copy (print out) of their result as it will prove to be helpful during the course of the admission process. The cutoff is set at 35% marks for general aspirants, although no cutoff is set for SC/ST categories.
