Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad or JNTU designs TS EAMCET Exam Format. Via Telangana Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test a aspirants aptitude in technical and quantifiable knowledge in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology is tested. The state level exam is organizeed separately for Engineering and Agriculture & Medical programs.

Listed below are quick facts about TS EAMCET Exam Format:

  • The questions in both the papers are of 10+2 level. 
  • The medium of responses in English and Telugu. 
  • As for the marking scheme of TS EAMCET, one mark is honoured for each accurate response and there is no provision of negative marking.
  • TS EAMCET carries a total of 160 marks.
  • Both the papers will have objective type questions.
  • EAMCET 2018 (Telangana) is organizeed in offline mode.

TSCHE has scheduled TS EAMCET 2018 in May 2018. Both of the exams will contain 160 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (Biology for Agriculture). This year, approximately 2 lakh aspirants will apply for the examination.

Exam Format of TS EAMCET - Engineering

  • The time slot of Common Entrance Test for Engineering (E) is 10:00 am till 1:00 pm.
  • TS EAMCET Engineering (E) will be organizeed in offline mode.
  • The questions are asked from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry stream.
  • Aspirants appearing for the same are advised to access TS EAMCET Exam Venue minimum 30 minutes before the commencement of exam.

Listed below are highlights of engineering exam format:

  • A medium of Examination – English or Telugu: The questions will be asked in both the languages. This choice will make the responses procedure easier for aspirants.
  • Nature of Questions – Objective Type: The questions will be of Multiple Choice in nature. A total of 4 options will be offered out of which only 1 option will be correct. Aspirants have to fill only one radio box with the pen. 
  • Marking Scheme – 1 mark is honoured for every accurate response. There is no provision for negative marking.
  • Method of Examination – Offline Mode: It will be a written examination i.e. aspirants can use a black or blue ballpoint pen to mark responses in the OMR sheets.
  • Period of Exam – 3 hours (180 minutes): Aspirants will have a total of 180 minutes to response all the questions. They will under any circumstances not be offered with extra time. Hence, it is recommended to start going via the questions as soon as the question booklet arrives
  • Number of Questions – The exam will consist 160 questions in total. Tabulated below is the distribution of questions in TS EAMCET 2018:

Note: Aspirants interested in applying for B.Arch. (Bachelor of Architecture) course in Telangana / Andhra Pradesh has to take NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture). It is organizeed in online method and is organizeed by Council of Architecture.

Exam Format of TS EAMCET - Agriculture

  • For EAMCET 2018 agriculture exam, questions will be asked from Biology (Botany and Zoology), Physics and Chemistry.
  • Common Entrance Test for Agriculture Stream will be organizeed in the afternoon shift.
  • The time slot is 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

The following table gives the highlights of the exam format for agriculture stream:

  • Nature of Questions – Objective Type: The questions will be of Multiple Choice in nature. A total of 4 options will be offered out of which only 1 option will be correct. Aspirants have to fill only one radio box with the pen. 
  • Marking Scheme – 1 mark is honoured for every accurate response. There is no provision for negative marking.
  • Method of Examination – Offline or Online Mode: A aspirant will have an option to attempt the exam in online or offline mode. In offline mode, it will be a written examination i.e. aspirants can use a black or blue ballpoint pen to mark responses in the OMR sheets. In online mode, an individual desktop will be situated to the candidate and the questions required to responses one by one. 
  • A medium of Examination – English or Telugu: The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium. Aspirants, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Hyderabad only.
  • Period of Exam – 3 hours (180 minutes): Aspirants will have a total of 180 minutes to response all the questions. They will under any circumstances not be offered with extra time. Hence, it is recommended to start going via the questions as soon as the question booklet arrives
  • Number of Questions – The exam will consist 160 questions in total. Tabulated below is the distribution of questions in TS EAMCET 2018:

Exam Mode of TS EAMCET

  • TS EAMCET Engineering Exam will be held in offline mode.
  • Responses marked with a pencil will not be evaluated.
  • For Agriculture stream, the test will be in offline and online mode.
  • Aspirants need to use Blue / Black Ball Point Pen to darken the suitable circle in OMR Response Sheet.
  • TS EAMCET 2018 questions will be available in English and Telugu medium. Aspirants can choose the language as per their comfort. The period of TS EAMCET will be 3 hours (180 minutes). The timings will be 10:00 am - 1:00 pm for Engineering exam and 2:30 pm- 5:30 pm for Agriculture exam. Aspirants scoring above at least qualifying marks will be called for TS EAMCET 2018 Counseling.
  • Computer Based Test will be organizeed at Hyderabad and Warangal Centers only.

TS EAMCET Marking Scheme

For each question, four options are offered. Each question carries 1 mark. You have to mark the accurate one only. Aspirants can score up to a total of 160.There is no negative marking in TS EAMCET 2018. Multiple Shading will be considered a wrong response and no marks will be honoured against such attempts. Aspirants have to score above at least qualifying marks to be able to qualify for TS EAMCET 2018 Counseling.


Physics of TS EAMCET 

To excel in TS EAMCET 2018, aspirants required to pay attention to all the subjects asked in the exam and Physics is one such subject. Out of all the topics asked in the exam, Mechanics, Electricity, and Magnetism are the most important units. Aspirants interested in acing the paper must pay attention to these units at high priority.

Important Guidelines for TS EAMCET Exam

TS EAMCET is scheduled in May 2018 for Engineering/Technology and Agriculture exam. Following are the important instructions for TS EAMCET examination. They should be followed to perform better in EAMCET Telangana.

  • Leaving the examination hall is not allowed before the conclusion of the exam.
  • Aspirants are advised to confirm the location of examination centre a day before the exam.
  • Electronic gadgets such as cell phone, pager, calculator, electronic watches and mathematical/log tables are not permitted.
  • Aspirants must carry their TS EAMCET Hall Ticket/ admit card with a valid photo ID for verification purposes. Admit card must be in good condition. Mutilated, disfigured and dismantled hall ticket compromising aspirants’ information will not be accepted.
  • Late entry is not allowed in the exam centre in any case.
