SSC CGL 2019 (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) is a national level appointment exam organizeed by SSC or Staff Selection Commission. SSC CGL is organizeed each year to appoint aspirants in different Departments/ministries/organizations of the central government.

Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGL 2019 

Aspirants ready to appear for SSC CGL 2019 exam should check the below mentioned eligibility criteria.

  • Age relaxation would be eligible for reserved category aspirants as per the central government rules.
  • The aspirant must have passed Bachelor’ degree examination in any branch from a recognised university.
  • For certain posts like Statistical Investigator-II, there are specific requirements in regards to educational qualification.
  • He/ she shall not be less than 18 years of age or more than 32 years of age as on January 1, 2018.
  • The aspirant must be a citizen of India or a subject/citizen of Bhutan/Nepal.

Note: Those aspirants who have a backlog to be completed (in any subject of graduation) would have to complete the backlog before the procedure of document verification and recruitment.


Registration of SSC CGL 2019 

SSC CGL 2019 Application form will be made available in March 2019 and would continue till April 2019. Aspirants can fill the form in online method only by visiting the official portal (various for various regions) of SSC.

  • A registration number will be alloted.
  • Aspirants required to register by entering his/her e-mail ID, phone number and password.
  • After successfully filling and uploading, you need to pay application fees. 
  • Fill the detailed application form and upload scanned photograph and signature as per the dimensions mentioned in the JPEG pattern. 
  • Use this registration number and password to log in.
  • SSC CGL application fee 2019 for unreserved male aspirants is INR 100 while female and reserved category aspirants are exempted from any fee.

Hall Ticket of SSC CGL 2019 

SSC CGL hall ticket 2019 would be made available a week before the scheduled date of exam for the respective aspirant. Aspirants will have to visit the official website in order to download the hall ticket. No physical copy of hall ticket via post would be dispatched.

Admit card contains information like aspirant’s name, roll no., exam centre details, date of exam, time of exam, signature and photograph of the aspirant.

Exam Format of SSC CGL 2019 

Aspirants would be selected via a 4-tier selection procedure of SSC in which the fourth tier would be of qualifying nature only. Tier 1 includes 100 MCQs based on general aptitude to be done within one hour.

Tier-2 is a descriptive test comprising two papers of Mathematics and English with each being of 200 marks and of 2 hours duration.

Tier three would be a subjective exam of 1-hour duration. Tier four would be typing test/computer proficiency test.

Marking Scheme for SSC CGL 2019

  • No maximum marks are allotted for Tier 4/Skill test.
  • Two marks would be honoured for each right response in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 (Except English Paper of Tier 2 where there is one mark for each question).
  • 0.25 Marks would be deducted for a wrong response.
  • Tier one and Tier two exams include MCQs carrying equal marks.
  • Maximum marks in Tier 3 exam is 100.

SSC CGL 2019 Response Key

SSC CGL 2019 response key would be made available on the official website of the SSC after 3 to 4 weeks of the completion of the exam. Aspirants would be able to check the response key and the respective answer marked by them by logging in the official portal.

Unofficial response keys would be published by different coaching centres on their respective website. However, the authenticity of the responses can’t be guaranteed.  Thus, aspirants are advised to wait for the official response keys to be released.


Result of SSC CGL 2019 

SSC CGL 2019 final result will be declared in May-June, 2020 on the official website. Aspirants would need to log in the online portal in order to check their results.

The results would be compiled in post-wise and marks-wise attitude with the aspirant scoring highest marks overall being credited with All India Rank (AIR) 1. Job allocations would be done on the basis of AIR of the aspirant.

Aspirants qualifying all the Tiers of SSC CGL exam as well as those who have not qualified the exam would be able to check their respective score published on official website.

SSC publishes scores of the aspirants after each tier of the exam and also at the time of completion of the entire selection procedure.

Successful aspirants would be placed in different Central government ministries, departments and offices across the country based on their performance in the exam and the preference filled by them at the time of making application for the exam.

Joining letters would be alloted within a month or two of the completion of entire procedure of examination including the document verification stage. Aspirants would be informed in regards to the issuance of the joining letter well in advance.
