The eligibility for SSC Stenographer appointment is based on 3 criteria - age, nationality and educational qualification. However, a certain amount of relaxation is given by the Government for Widows, Ex-Defence people, Minority and SC / ST Category.
1. Nationality
The aspirant should be an Indian National to qualify for the exam. The eligibility list is as follows, However, the Staff selection commission also permits people from Indian Origin selected in the neighbouring countries.
2. Age
The age limit for the aspirants should not less than 18 years as on August 2nd, 2000 and not greater than 27 years as on August 1st, 1991. However, relaxation is given to aspirants from OBC and SC/ST category
3. Educational Qualification
Aspirants applying for SSC Stenographer should have finished 12th standard from a recognised Board or a course equivalent to the same.
