SSC JE 2018 Question Paper, Answer Key & Analysis

SSC JE 2018 is still in the procedure. The Written Exam for SSC JE started from January 22, 2018 and would be organized untill January 29, 2018. Here is a brief look at some of the important takeaways for SSC JE 2018:

  • The general knowledge section was tough while the general intelligence section was easy to moderate. 
  • Aspirants who had attempted the questions with accuracy in general intelligence would have scored well in this section.
  • The technical section (electrical, civil and mechanical) was moderate to difficult.
  • Aspirants who manage to obtain the at least SSC JE Cut off score are only applicable to participate in SSC JE 2018 Selection Process.
  • The result of SSC JE 2018 Paper 1 will likely be released by the SSC in March, 2018. 

SSC JE 2018 Response Key

The Commission announces two separate response keys for SSC JE Paper 1 and Paper 2. Aspirants can follow the steps given below to download SSC JE Response Key: SSC JE 2018 Response Keys will be available for the aspirants in March 2018 (tentatively). Response key helps the aspirants to analyze their performances in the SSC JE Exam.

  1. Visit the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in
  2. Under the Response Key tab, click for the link for Junior Engineer Response Keys.
  3. Just below the notice, a link is offered for downloading SSC JE Response Key, click on it.
  4. Now, enter Roll Number, Password and choose the exam date on which you appeared.
  5. Download the response key.
  6. In case of any inaccurate response, aspirants can challenge the question.

SSC JE 2018 Paper Analysis

  • A general trend observed over the years is that the exam difficulty is average.
  • There is no sectional cut off in the exam.
  • Most candidates who have appeared for the test felt that the General Intelligence & Reasoning section is the most scoring section.

For every accurate response, aspirants will be honored designated marks and negative marking of ΒΌ marks is exercised in case of inaccurate response.

  • In general awareness section, most of the questions were from Biology. The questions also covered a broad range of present affairs including books, people, and sports.

Technical sectional this year was of moderate level as compared to earlier year.
