SSC CGL Tier 2 2018 (February 19) Question Paper, Answer Key & Paper Analysis

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam was organized on February 20, 2018. Most of the aspirants felt that questions in the paper were easy but lengthy. The test was taken by the aspirants who completed the SSC CGL Tier 1 test. The result of the test is expected to be announced in March 2018.

  • Quantitative Aptitude was more difficult as compared with English Comprehension and Reasoning.
  • Questions from antonyms and synonyms were on a difficult side.

SSC CGL 2018 How to Reach Response Key?

The response key will be announced online on the official website of the exam. With the help of the response key, aspirants can calculate their scores and analyze their performance in the exam.

Aspirants can reach the response key by following the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official website of SSC i.e.
  2. On the website homepage, click on the link for โ€œResponse Keyโ€
  3. Enter the details such as Roll Number and Password or DOB
  4. Click on the submit button

After clicking on the button, the response key will be displayed on the screen. Aspirants can download and take the printout of the response key for future reference.

Challenging SSC CGL 2018 Response Key

  • In case, aspirants find any inaccurate response in the pdf, they can challenge it.
  • They must pay INR 100 for every question they challenge.
  • Final response key will be announced after days, which cannot be challenged.
  • In case the response of the aspirants is genuine, the responses will be edited in the final response key announced by the panel.
  • Link to challenge the response key will be displayed under the response key tab at the SSC website.

SSC CGL 2018 Tier 2 Sectional Wise Paper Analysis

Paper1: Quantitative Aptitude (QA)

  • This section was slightly difficult than the earlier year. Trigonometry, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration made up nearly half the section. Questions from Number System were tricky to solve. A good attempt would have been to 60-70 questions. Questions on reasoning and data interpretation were also easy.

Paper 2: English Language & Comprehension

This year the level of English paper ranged from easy to moderate. Overall the section was on the easier side compared to the question papers of earlier two days i.e Feb 17th and Feb 18th. Most of the questions in RC were factual and easy to attempt. The grammar questions were from mistake correction, direct-indirect speech, etc. Vocabulary questions consisted of one-word substitution, idiom/phrases, synonyms/antonyms, and spelling correction.
