SSC CGL Tier 1 Revised Result 2018

SSC has revised the result for the CGL 2017 Tier I exam. The judgment of revising the result was taken into consideration because some discrepancies were reported in the earlier result due to technical glitches.

The revision is made based on correction in some response keys. Therefore, it was an extensive review based on changes in some responses in the key. However, the rest of the response key was not revised.

This review and revision of the result have seen a decline in the cut off marks as compared to those declared previous. Therefore, in a way this revision has become a life saver for the aspirants who could not meet the earlier cutoff marks.

For example, 2502 SC category aspirants completed the Tier I exam in List I based on the older cut off. This number has now been raised to 3218 based on the revised CGL cut off.

The SSC CGL Exam carried out in four stages namely – Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. The Tier I exam was carried out on August 05, 2017 to August 23, 2017.

The commission declared SSC CGL result of the Tier I exam first on October 30, 2017, after going via the response keys and objections. However, the commission has now published a notice on its official website stating that a few tentative response keys were not revised due to some technical problem.

Hence, the commission revoked the prior result and carried out an extensive review again. Based on this extensive review, the marks of the aspirants were revised and the cut off for nearly all the categories was changed.

How to Check Revised SSC CGL Tier I Result 2018?

There are very simple steps that you can follow to reach the revised SSC CGL Tier I results.

  1. Visit the official website of SSC – http://ssc.nic.in/.
  2. On the homepage of the website, you obligatory to click the ‘Results’ section.
  3. Enter your name and roll number to display the revised results.
  4. You may further click ‘Write-up’ to view the cut-off marks under different categories.
  5. Download a copy of this result by clicking the PDF icon.

List I for SSC CGL Tier I Exam 2018

List I shows the aspirants who have qualified the Tier I exam for appearing in the Tier II exam for Paper I, Paper II and Paper IV (General Studies - Finance and Accounts) and the Tier III exam.
