SNAP 2018 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Symbiosis International University will announce the notification SNAP Exam Format 2018 on its official website www.snaptest.org.

SNAP 2018 (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) will be a pen and paper-based test i.e. method of the exam is offline.

  • The total number of questions asked in the entrance test will be 150.
  • The medium of language will be English only.
  • The maximum marks an aspirant can score is 150.
  • The question paper will be divided into 4 sections- General English, Quantitative Ability, Present Affairs, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
  • Each question will have 4 alternative answers suggested as responses, out of which the person must select one that seems the most suitable choice.
  • Every accurate response will be honored +1 mark and negative marking scheme will be eligible.
  • It will include multiple choice questions (MCQs) i.e. objective type questions.
  • The period of an exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).

The syllabus will of Higher Secondary or 10+2 level. It will be on par with other national level management tests. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate.

The registration procedure for SNAP 2018 will begin the third week of August 2018. The exam will be held in the third week of December 2018. SNAP exam will be given 50% weight while making the final merit list. The results will be released on the official website in the first week of January 2018.

SNAP Exam Format 2018 in Detail

SNAP 2018 is a conventional pen and paper-based test. Participants must choose the most suitable response out of 4 alternative options. They must note that negative marking is eligible for this test. It will include of 150 objective questions to be solved within 120 minutes. The maximum marks an aspirant can score in SNAP 2018 are 150. The exam paper will be available in the English language only.

The question paper will be segregated into 4 sections- General English, Quantitative Ability, Present Affairs and Logical Reasoning. Participants can choose to attempt any section as they seeking. They will need to mark their responses on an OMR sheet. There is no restriction of solving a particular section within a stipulated amount of time.

SNAP 2018 Marking Scheme

Participants must know the marking scheme in order to decide how to attempt the questions in the aptitude entrance test. It should be noted that negative marking will be eligible for the test. The marking scheme is given as follows: There has been no change in the marking scheme of SNAP 2018 and it is the same as it was for the year 2017.

  • There will be the penalty of marks, charged for marking wrong or inaccurate responses i.e. negative marking will be eligible. For every incorrect response, 1/4th mark will be deducted from the total score of aspirants.
  • The marking of two options will be considered as a wrong response and negative marking will be eligible accordingly.
  • +1 mark will be honored to students for marking every correct response.
  • No mark will be deducted from the total score of the student for leaving a question blank or failure in attempting it.

Exam Syllabus for SNAP 2018

The syllabus for SNAP 2018 is based on English, Mathematics, and Logic of higher secondary school level knowledge. The section wise syllabus is given as follows: It will be as decided by SIU for every section. Candidates must make sure that they follow the right syllabus to prepare well for the test.

General English

This section will assess the grasp a candidate has in the English language. The test paper will include questions based on a given passage. Aspirants must comprehend the contents of the passage and response these questions. The important topics for this section are: An personal’s vocabulary, grammar, verbal ability and reasoning skills will also be tested in this section.

SNAP 2018 Important Instructions

It is the responsibility of every candidate to ensure that they follow some rules and regulations to maintain the decorum of the exam hall so that the examination proceeds properly.

  • Aspirants can approach the Centre Superintendent/ Examiner in the room if they require any technical assistance, first aid emergency or any information regarding the test.
  • They must bring the SIU allowed Hall Ticket with recent, passport-sized photo duly pasted on it, a valid photo ID proof and a Black or Blue ballpoint pen.
  • Students must darken the bubble in the prescribed way to mark their responses on the OMR sheet, otherwise, it will not be considered.
  • Participants must report to the test center minimum 30 minutes prior to the test.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to create any disturbance inside the examination hall. Any gesture or conversation between personals will be treated as the access to rules and action will be taken accordingly.
