SBI SO Recruitment 2018 for 121 vacancies of Specialist Cadre Officer (MMGS III and SMGS IV) Post

SBI has invited the applications for the appointment of the students to the post of Specialist Cadre Officers in MMGS III and SMGS IV grade. All the applicable students can fill the Application form for the post by February 4, 2018.

SBI is the largest commercial bank in India. These vacancies offer a brilliant opportunity for aspirants who seeking to work in the banking sector.

To apply for the post, students must possess CA/ ICWA/ ACS/ MBA/ PGDM or any Post-Graduate degree. If a student is established ineligible, his/her candidature will be canceled. Students will be shortlisted for the post based on their performance in the entrance examination and the interview.

SBI SO Appointment 2018: Eligibility Criteria

Students are advised to check the Eligibility Criteria before applying for the post otherwise if the eligibility did not match then the student’s candidature will be canceled. Following is the clear explanation of eligibility of SBI Specialists officer posts:

Education Qualification

  • Students should possess CA/ ICWA/ ACS/ MBA/ PGDM or any postgraduate degree in related specialty from recognised by government bodies.


  • Students applying for the Managers post must have 5 years post qualification experience in the relevant field.
  • Those applying for Chief Managers posts must have at least 8 years of qualification in the relevant field.

Age Limit

  • SC/ ST/ Ex.SM category aspirants will get 5 years of age relaxation. 3 years of age relaxation will be given OBC category aspirants. PWD aspirants will get 10 years of age relaxation
  • A student applying for Chief Manager SMGS-IV, the at least age is 25 years and maximum age is 38 years
  • Those applying for Manager MMGS-III, the at least age for applying is 25 years and maximum age is 35 years

SBI SO Appointment 2018: Salary

  • Middle Management Grade Scale III (MMGS III): 42020-1310/ 5-48570-1460/ 2-51490 (CTC 18 Lacs per annum)
  • Senior Management Grade Scale IV (SMGS IV): 50030-1460/ 4-55870-1650/ 2-59170 (CTC 22 Lacs per annum)

SBI SO Appointment 2018: Recruitment Procedure

Selection of the students is based on the individual interview. The appointment procedure will be included of 2 stages i.e. Short-listing of Application and Interview.

Once the students will be shortlisted they will be called for an interview. The merit list will be prepared, based on the marks that students obtain in the interview

SBI SO Appointment 2018: How to Apply?

The online applications will be accepted via the official SBI appointment portal on or before February 4, 2018. A hard copy of the applications should access ‘SBI, CRPD, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, before February 12, 2018. Students must follow these steps to apply for different posts:

  • Students are advised to download and take a printout of the application
  • Visit the official website of SBI
  • Fill all the details in the form and upload need documents
  • Click on the Submit button.
  • General and OBC category aspirants will get application form by submitting the application fees of amount INR 600/- and (INR 100/- for SC/ ST/ PWD aspirants)
  • Search and click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.

After applying online, students required to send the photocopies of application along with self-attested photocopies of the following documents:

  1. ID Proof
  2. Proof of Date of Birth
  3. Education Certificate: Mark Sheet/ Degree Certificate
  4. Experience Certificates
  5. Brief Resumes
  6. E-receipt for fee payment
