NTSE (National Talent Search Exam) Application Form 2018

NTSE 2018 Application Form will announce in 2nd week of September 2017. Aspirants can register in either online or offline mode. The application form will be distributed separately by various states. The last date of application submission also varies from state to state.

  • NTSE 2018 stage 1, is scheduled to be organizeed on November 04 & 05, 2017.
  • NCERT will send the roll number and exam centre of NTSE Stage 2 examination through a post, only those who have completed NTSE Stage 1.
  • For NTSE Stage 2, aspirants will require 80% marks or above in the State level exam, to be considered applicable.
  • Indian students do not have to fill an application form for NTSE Stage 2 examination.
  • Indian students who are pursuing abroad in Class 10 can appear for NTSE Stage 2 examination straight under the conditions said in NTSE 2018 brochure.
  • To apply offline, aspirants can obtain the printed application form from the office of admission portal. 
  • An at least of 60% marks Class IX is needed. SC, ST and PH aspirants will require 55% marks in Class IX. Check NTSE Eligibility 
  • To apply online, visit the official website of NTSE i.e. www.ncert.nic.in, enter details and pay the requisite fee.

How to Fill NTSE Application Form 2018?

NTSE 2018 Application Form will be distributed by various states differently. The application form along with the application fee has to be submitted to the Liaison officer of the respective state/UT as and when said in the circular. Aspirants have to apply for NTSE Stage 1 examination as per the circular or advertisement alloted by the respective state/UT government.

  1. Visit the official website of NCERT- www.ncert.nic.in.
  2. Go to “Programs” tab and click on the link that says “National Talent Search Examination”.
  3. A link for “Application Form for NTSE 2018” will be given, click on it.
  4. The application form will be immediately downloaded as a pdf file.

Note: Aspirants must confirm from the State/UT liaison officer about the deadline for form submission and where to submit it.

Fill NTSE 2018 Application Form

  • The information pertaining to aspirant’s individual details, academic details and contact details shall be entered.
  • Once you obtain NTSE 2018 Application Form in printed form, fill in the need details cautiously.
  • Aspirants should not send the application form to NCERT. They should send it to the address prescribed by the State/UT liaison officer.

Application Fee Payment and Form Submission

  • Indian students who are pursuing abroad must mention in the covering letter the name of the State/UT where they seeking to appear for NTSE examination.
  • Deposit the application fee along with the application form as prescribed by the State/UT liaison officer.
  • Indian students who are pursuing abroad required to fill the application form and send to NCERT along with their mark sheet of Class IX examination by March 31, 2018, for consideration.
  • Aspirants are advised to refer the application form published by the UTs/States for caste category reservation.
  • Aspirants do not have to fill the 4-digit centre code in the application form. It will be filled by the liaison officer.
  • Get the application form signed by the head of the institution after filling it.

Aspirants also required pasting their recent passport size photograph on the space offered in the application form. Aspirants also required to sign on the application form. There is a small section of the application form which should be filled and signed by the school principal or the head of the institution.
