NTSE (National Talent Scholarship Examination) West Bengal Cut off, Question Paper, Answer key, Result 2018

State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), West Bengal has declared the stage 1 result of NTSE on February 22, 2018. NTSE 2018 was organizeed by all states and Union Territories on November 4 and 5, 2017.

  • The National Talent Search Exam Stage 1 of West Bengal was organizeed successfully on November 5.
  • West Bengal NTSE 10th Result 2018 has been declared by the School Education Department, West Bengal along with the cut-off.
  • Total 295 students have qualified the exam.
  • Aspirants who have qualified stage 1 will have to appear for stage 2 of the examination which will be organizeed by NCERT on May 13, 2018.


NTSE (National Talent Scholarship Examination) West Bengal – Question Format 2018

There are three parts of this NTSE Exam. Part-I is Mental Ability Test, Part-II is Scholastic Aptitude Test (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics) and PART-III is Language Test (English / Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali).

Mental Ability Test: This Part-I question paper will contain 50 MCQ type questions and each question carries 1 mark. Total time allowed for this Part is 45 minutes (10:30 AM to 11:15 AM). There is no any Negative Marking for wrong attempts.

Scholastic Aptitude Test: On Part-II, questions will come from Mathematics (20 questions), Physics (13 questions), Chemistry (13 questions), Biology (14 questions), History (12 questions), Geography (12 questions), Political Science (8 questions) and Economics (8 questions) subjects. Total marks for this paper is 100 and time allowed 90 minutes (01:30 PM to 3:00 PM). There also no negative marking for the wrong attempt and all the questions are MCQ Type.

Language Test (English / Bengali / Hindi / Urdu / Nepali): On this Language Test part, participants have to choose any one of the languages from, English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, and Nepali and have to response 50 MCQ type questions of marks 50. Time allowed 45 minutes (12 O’ clock to 12:45 PM) for this Test.


NTSE (National Talent Scholarship Examination) West Bengal – Response Key 2018

NTSE 2018 Response Key will be accessible online after the exam on the respective official website. The response key will be available separately for MAT, LAT, and SAT papers to cross-check the answers as marked by participants in their response sheet. With the help of NTSE response key 2018, every aspirant will have the option to estimate their approximate score in the exam. The official response keys will be published right after the exam by some caching centres as well made by their subject experts, so aspirants can calculate the response in their own way at the earliest.

In order to reach NTSE 2018 response key, participants have to visit the respective official website and follow the steps:

  1. Go to the official website of their concerned state’s exam organizing body
  2. Enter the necessary information such as; Application ID and Password
  3. Now, click on the submit button
  4. NTSE 2018 Response Key will appear on the computer screen
  5. Participants can download the response key and take a print out for future reference.

NTSE (National Talent Scholarship Examination) West Bengal Result 2018

  • Aspirants who appeared in the examination can check their names in merit list from the official site of West Bengal NTSE.
  • The Merit list has been alloted by Government of West Bengal or known as Directorate of School Education Bikash Bhawan, Kolkata.

By following the below steps aspirants can easily download their NTSE 2018 Result:

  1. Visit the official website of state government or Union Territories.
  2. Click on the link ‘NTSE 2018 Result’
  3. After clicking on the given link, aspirants will be redirected to next page.
  4. Enter the necessary details such as. Roll number, date of birth
  5. Click on the submit button.
  6. NTSE Result will appear on the screen.
  7. Download the same for future reference.

NTSE (National Talent Scholarship Examination) Cut off 2018 – Stage 2

  • The Stage 2 of NTSE 2018 examination will be organizeed by NCERT for only those participants who have qualified and achieved the NTSE cut off 2018 in Stage 1.
