The agency is expected to organize NEET and JEE Examination twice from the year 2019.

All the examination will be organized twice in a year. It will help the students to relieve the increasing pressure either pass the examination or wait for the one more year to get admission. All the exams under NTA will be held via online method only.

There are also speculations that these exams will be organized again this year in the month of December. This news brought joy and inspiration to a lot of engineering and medical candidates who were not able to qualify for the counseling procedure. Students who were not able to appear for the test due to eligibility criteria or Class XII examinations may also appear for December examination, they don’t have to wait until next year. NEET and JEE Main will be organized twice a year from 2019 to give an opportunity to the students to bring out their best performance.

As per reports, IIT Kanpur will offer technical support to NTA in organizing JEE Main. However, no official notification has been announced yet by the NTA. There are also report that both NEET and JEE main will be held in an online mode. Previous, CBSE organized engineering entrance exam (JEE Main) under both online and pen-paper method and medical entrance examination (NEET) under pen-paper method only. The exam format and syllabus are expected to remain the same for both the examination. This will change under NTA.

CBSE has prepared a model for National Testing Agency which suggests the objectives, structures, and functions of the Agency. The concept of National Testing Scheme:

  • Offer opportunities for students to improve
  • Be cost neutral for the testing agency with a mechanism to share revenue with State Boards, etc.
  • Offer flexibility to the institutes in structuring the admission procedure
