NATA 2018 Question Paper, Answer Key & Analysis

Council of Architecture has organized National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) on April 29, 2018. COA will announce NATA 2018 response key on May 6. A result of NATA 2018 will be declared by the CoA in the online method on June 1, 2018. Marks in NATA 2018 will be computed out of 200.

  • The qualifying aspirants of NATA 2018 will be able to take participate in the counseling procedure which will be carried out personally by Participating Institutes of NATA 2018.
  • The aspirant must score 40% i.e.80 / 200 in the Examination to get admission into first year B.Arch. program.

How to Calculate Scores using NATA 2018 Response Key?

  • Calculate the probable scores using NATA marking scheme.
  • Based on the scores calculated, estimate the chances of admission in the course and participating institutes.
  • Reach both recorded answer sheets and NATA response key.
  • NATA 2018 scores = no of accurate responses x 2.
  • Verify the responses marked in answers with the ones given in the response key.

NATA Response Key 2018

NATA 2018 Response key includes accurate responses to the questions asked in the question paper.

  • With the help of response key, aspirants can analyze and calculate their exam performance by comparing accurate responses in NATA Response Key.
  • NATA 2018 Result was declared on June 1, 2018.
  • NATA Question paper included two paper i.e. Paper 1 (General Aptitude and Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Drawing Test).
  • Paper 1 consists of 62 questions carrying 200 marks and Aspirants have to solve the paper in three hours.
  • Aspirants will have to secure more than NATA Cut Off to get admission in the participating colleges. They must have secured more than 40% marks to be declared qualify.

NATA 2018 How to Check Response Key & Question Paper?

  1. Visit the official website of NATA i.e. nata.in
  2. Click on the link of NATA Response Key or question paper.
  3. Aspirants have to offer their Registration ID and Date of Birth and click on the download button.
  4. The response key will be generated in the PDF pattern.
  5. Download the response key to calculate the probable scores.

NATA OMR Sheets 2018

COA will announce the recorded answers of NATA 2018 (only part A) before the publication of response key and result. Aspirants can follow the steps given below to reach the same.

  1. Click on the link. The link will be active after the announce of answers.
  2. Aspirants will have to enter their application number and password to be able to reach their answers.
  3. The answers for only Part A will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Aspirants will need to download it and can take a print out of the same if required.

NATA 2018 Paper Analysis

  • Aspirants required to obtain 30 marks out of 120 in Paper 1 and 20 marks out of 80 in Paper 2.
  • Via the sketching, the ability of visualization will be tested.
  • Each question carries two marks and there is no negative marking for wrong responses.
  • Paper 1 contained 60 multiple choice questions and the period is 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • The overall qualifying marks will be notified later on the basis of post-exam statistics and judgment of the council.
  • Each question carried 40 marks.
  • In Paper 2 aspirant has to draw or sketch a diagram in 3D as per their visualization, symmetry and sketching ability.
  • It has 2 questions in total and has to be attended in A4 Size paper.

Paper 1 Analysis โ€“ Mathematics & General Aptitude Test

  • Each question carries two marks and there is no negative marking for wrong responses.
  • Also, this section will also test the aspirantโ€™s Mathematics level in terms of Algebra, Logarithms, Complex numbers, quadratic equations etc.
  • It involves checking the perception, imagination, observation, understanding of scale and proportions, the creativity of aspirant.
  • Paper 1 contained 60 multiple choice questions and the period is 1 hour 30 minutes.

Paper 2 Analysis - Drawing Test

  • In this section, the aspirant has to draw or sketch a diagram in 3D as per their visualization, symmetry and sketching ability.
  • It has 2 questions in total and has to be attended in A4 Size paper. Each question carries 40 marks.
  • Via the sketching, the ability of visualization will be tested.

NATA Cut Off 2018

  • Aspirants can check NATA 2018 Cut Off in different institutes in the table given below.
  • NATA Cut off is the at least score need by an aspirant in order to become applicable to participate in the admission procedure.

Cut off depends on the following factors:

  • Total number of seats available in each course
  • Reservation for different categories
  • The difficulty level of the exam and its marking scheme
  • Total Number of Aspirants appeared in the examination.

NATA Result 2018

Before NATA 2018 results are published, the answer sheets of each candidate will be uploaded along with the marks secured in each subject. Candidates can request for re-checking of the machine recorded answers online.

For this, candidates would need to pay INR 1000 per answer (Question) before the last date. The Council will take into consideration all such cases before the results are declared.

  • Aspirants must keep the print copy of the result for admission process.
  • NATA Result 2018 will be declared on June 1, 2018.
  • The result will be published in three patterns: marks secure out of 200, merit list, percentile score.
  • Aspirants can check their results via online method from the website.
