MHT CET Exam Pattern 2019

MHT CET 2019 Exam Format details will be announced by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education), Maharashtra. Although no significant changes are expected in the MHT CET 2019 exam format, on the basis of MHT CET 2018 exam, some changes are expected. MHT CET 2019 exam will be various for the pharmacy and engineering candidates.

Some quick pointers on MHT CET 2019 Exam Format which will also give you a brief about the exam syllabus are as follows:

  • There will be 3 sections in the exam, with each section/paper carrying 100 marks.
  • Engineering candidates must keep in mind that mathematics paper will be published in English language only.
  • Students who wish to pursue a career in Pharmacy must appear for Paper 2 and can choose between paper 1 and paper 3.
  • MHT CET 2019 will be organized in the offline method in a pen- paper based pattern.
  • MHT CET 2019 Syllabus will be exactly same as defined for Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education.
  • The question paper will be published in English, Marathi or Urdu language.
  • 1 mark will be honored for every accurate response and 1 mark will be deducted for every inaccurate response.
  • Application-based questions will be asked in MHT CET 2019 exam.
  • A total time period is 90 minutes for MHT CET exam.
  • 20% weight is given to the class 11 curriculum and 80% weight to class 12 curriculum. 
  • Every section will contain 40 questions from class 11 syllabus and 10 questions from class 12 syllabuses.

MHT CET Exam Format 2019 Details

MHT CET 2019 Exam Format is defined completely for each of the sections/ exam papers. The questions are defined for each section separately. Every paper will have unique questions and no mix questions as specific papers are defined for each section. Every paper will contain 50 questions for every subject defined in the particular paper respectively.

MHT CET Exam Format 2019 for Mathematics/ Paper 1:

  • A total of 50 questions with 10 questions defined from class 11 syllabus and 40 questions defined from class 12 syllabus.
  • Paper will be organized between 10.00 am- 11.30 am.
  • +2 marks will be honored for every accurate response.
  • MCQ type application based questions.
  • Paper will be printed in English language only.

MHT CET Exam Format 2019 for Physics and chemistry/ Paper 2:

  • MCQ type problem-based questions.
  • +1 mark honored for every accurate response.
  • 100 questions in total with 50 questions defined from physics syllabus and 50 from chemistry syllabus.
  • Paper will be printed in English, Urdu and Marathi language.
  • The time slot for paper 2 is 12.30 PM to 2.00 PM.

MHT CET Exam Format 2019 for Zoology and Botany/ Paper 3:

  • Paper will be available printed in English, Urdu and Marathi language.
  • 100 questions in total with 50 defined for each section.
  • Paper 3 time slot is 3.00pm to 4.30 pm.
  • MCQ type questions.
  • +1 mark honored for every accurate response.

Marking Scheme for MHT CET 2019

  • 2 marks are honored for every accurate response.
  • No marks honored/deducted for un-attempted questions.

Exam Day Instructions for MHT CET 2019

How to handle OMR Sheet?

  • Students required to fill their clear name using the HB pencil and fill the bubbles as well using the same.
  • If your name has parts, such as first, middle and last name, then leave space between them as follows:

  • Bubbles must be marked corresponding to each alphabet vertically as below:

  • Name and clear address have to be filled with the black ballpoint pen in capital letters. The address must be accurate as the same will be used for communicating information if requireded.

  • Students must fill the clear name of the college in capital letters and space must be maintained between the words, while writing the name

  • Fill the bubble properly so that you do not have to cut or erase it.
  • If there are more than one accurate options marks will be honored only if all the options have been marked.
  • Students required to mark responses in the OMR sheet using the black ballpoint pen.
  • The bubbles must be clearly filled and not partially else, your responses marked will not be evaluated.
  • Options marked with a pencil will not be counted.
  • Fill the details on the OMR sheet with the black/blue ball pen.
  • The pen must be used for filling the bubbles.
  • Color only one bubble corresponding to a question. If more than one bubble is marked the options marked will be considered invalid.
  • If establish any format resemblance between two response sheets of various students sitting near to each other or in the same exam hall, such students will be asked to come for an individual meeting.
  • Do not color bubbles with a pencil.
  • Bubbles crossed after filling will not be counted.

General Instructions

  •  Coordinate with the examiner at the time of attendance.
  • Stay in the exam hall even if your exam is over, till the exam time is over for all the students.
  • Stop marking response once the exam time is over.
  • An only analog watch can be worn in the exam hall.
  • Do not talk with other students currently in the exam hall.
  • Bring your own stationery to the exam center.
  • No electronic gadgets can be brought inside the hall.
