MHT CET (Common Entrance Test) 2019

MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam organizeed for admission into Engineering and Allied Health Sciences courses in Maharashtra. MHT CET 2019 is scheduled for May 2019. Aspirants can fill MHT CET Application form 2019 online from March 2019 at dtemahrashtra.gov.in. The application fee for general category is INR 800 while that for reserved category is INR 600.

Before proceeding towards Registration, aspirants should make sure that they fulfil the basic eligibility norms.Only Indian Nationals are applicable to apply for MHT CET 2019. MHT CET 2019 includes 3 papers organizeed in offline mode. These are MCQ-based and the period is 90 minutes for each. Eligibility Criteria of MHT CET 2019

MHT CET 2019 is a state level exam for aspirants of Maharashtra State only. All those who wish to appear for the exam required to must fulfil the below mentioned eligibility criteria.

  • The aspirant must be an Indian National.
  • The age of the participant must be at least 17 years.

A person who is Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) is not applicable to apply for MHT CET

  • Aspirants must have finished 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised university with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to appear for the medical examination.
  • Aspirants applying for Engineering and Technology should have studied English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th.

Application Form of MHT CET 2019

Aspirants can apply online for MHT CET 2019 from March 1, 2019. They can register at www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in.

Aspirants should make sure that they fulfil MHT CET eligibility criteria 2019 before they fill the application form.

Step 1: Registration

  • Login again by adding your registration number and password to fill the application form
  • Visit the official website of MHT CET and click on ‘apply online’.
  • On successful registration, you will receive a unique user id and password on the registered email id or contact number.
  • If you are a new user, click on” new user tab”. Enter the asked details and click on submit button.

Step 2: Filling up of application form

Aspirants have to enter their individual and academic details such as parent’s name, class 12th marks, domicile details etc. Make sure you mark your category and domicile details correctly while form filling.

Step 3: Uploading documents

On successful submission of application form, aspirants have to upload the asked documents in the prescribed pattern

  • Both photograph and signature should be in jpg/jpeg pattern not more than 50 KB in size
  • Affix the last photograph preferably with white background

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee

Aspirants can remit fee either online or offline. If they are opting for an offline method then they have to submit an e-challan which will be generated on successful submission of application form In online mode, the fee can be paid through net banking, credit/debit card, cash card.

Exam Format of MHT CET 2019

There will be 3 papers organizeed separately for various streams. Each paper will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration.

For B.E./B.Tech stream total questions will be 150 while for allied health science courses, it will be 200 and for pharmacy number of questions will vary between 150 and 200.

Synopsis of MHT CET Exam Format 2019:

  • The participants of health science degree and other courses will have to appear for Paper I and Paper III.
  • The question paper will be published in English, Marathi or Urdu language.
  • The participants of engineering degree programs have to appear for Paper I and Paper III.
  • All 3 papers will be organizeed in pen paper based pattern.
  • No penalty will be levied for wrong responses.

Result of MHT CET 2019

To reach MHT CET result 2019, aspirants will have to visit the official website of DTE Maharashtra. MHT CET scorecard 2019 is valid for one year only i.e. present academic session. The result is expected to be out in the first week of June 2019.

Aspirants can reach the results by following the steps given below:

  • Go to the official website of MHT CET and search ‘result’ link.
  • Enter your MHT CET roll number and date of birth.
  • Click on submit and the result will be displayed on your screen.

Counseling of MHT CET 2019

MHT CET 2019 Counseling is likely to commence from the third week of June 2019. Those who are able to qualify MHT CET Cut Off will be allotted seats for various medical, engineering and pharmacy degree programs in top government and private colleges of Maharashtra.

The expected date for declaration of MHT CET 2019 result is June 01, 2019. The counseling procedure will proceed only after the publishing of Merit List. It is expected to be displayed on or before June 14, 2019.

MHT CET-2019 counseling would be held via a Centralized Allocation Procedure (CAP). This is the first time that a common entrance test is conducted for admission to different Health Sciences, Engineering and Pharmacy Degree courses in the state of Maharashtra.

Amendments in MHT CET 2019

This year the state cell has introduced some new changes in the exam which are as follows:

  • MHT CET syllabus will not cover some of the chapters such as complex numbers, Mathematical Induction etc.
  • The difficulty level will be similar to JEE Main for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics section and NEET for Biology section
  • While framing MHT CET paper, 80% weightage will be given to class 12th syllabus and 20% to class 11
  • 85% of seats in Maharashtra state will be filled on the basis of MHT CET score. For rest 15% seats falling under All India Quota, JEE Main score will be considered.
