MBBS/BDS Admission Haryana 2018 through NEET

Haryana MBBS/ BDS admission will be organizeed by University of Health Sciences on the basis of NEET score. The Application form for Haryana MBBS/ BDS admission will be available from June 2018.

  • All India Seats will be allotted by MCC counseling and 85% Haryana state seats will be allotted via NEET Haryana Counseling Procedure.

NEET 2018

NEET is a national level medical entrance examination organizeed by CBSE for MBBS/ BDS admissions. The written exam is to be scheduled for the first week of May 2018. NEET 2018 Application Form will be available on the official website, interested aspirants can apply online until the first week of March 2018.

The entrance exam is divided into four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Aspirants required to solve the paper in three hours. Aspirants will have to appear for counseling procedure after the releasement of the result. It consists of 180 questions. NEET 2018 Result will be released in the first week of June 2018.

Eligibility for Haryana MBBS Admission 2018

NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria for Haryana MBBS/BDS Admission are given below:

  • If the participant is taking admission under state quota seats, they must have domicile of Haryana state.
  • Aspirants should be medically fit as per physical standard eligibility rules. They must be more than 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018.
  • Aspirants should be passed in class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology from any recognised board.
  • They must have obtained minimum 50% of marks in aggregate (40% for SC/ ST category). For Physically Handicapped Aspirants, the at least qualifying aggregate marks are 45%. 
  • Aspirants will have to qualify NEET 2018 to get admission in medical colleges.

Reservation Criteria for Haryana MBBS Admission 2018

In NEET Haryana Counseling the seats are bonafide for the Haryana Residential aspirants. The table below depicts the seat distribution for different categories in Haryana Medical Colleges: Seats in Medical Colleges are reserved as per the rules of Haryana Government.

Note: There will be 3% horizontal reservation for Ex-servicemen/Dependent of freedom fighters within reservation of 1% of general category, 1% out of scheduled castes and 1% from backward classes’ categories for admission to the different educational institutions of the Govt. and Govt. aided colleges/institutes situated in Haryana.

Weightage to Sportsperson 

No seats will be reserved for the aspirants who distinguished themselves for sports quota. But if such aspirants qualify NEET 2018, they will be given additional 5% wieghtage on the grade scale.

Aspirants claiming such weightage should submit a Certificate alloted by the Director of Sports of the Haryana State stating grade and duration of participation. Certificate from any other source will not be accepted.

Application Form of Haryana MBBS 2018

Aspirants have to register themselves for admission procedure. They must check the eligibility criteria for the admissions before applying. Haryana MBBS/ BDS Application Form will be available from June 2018. Aspirants can check the steps to apply for medical colleges via NEET which is given below:

  1. Aspirants required to clear the registration via NEET score.
  2. After the successful registration, User ID of the aspirant will be generated. They can fill up the maximum preferences of colleges during registration.
  3. Fill up the individual, educational qualification, category and residential details in the application form.
  4. Upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature and left thumb impressions. The images should be in jpg/ jpeg/ png pattern.
  5. Make the payment via net banking/ debit/ credit or e- challan at any discipline of SBI.
  6. At last, verify the entered details and take a print out of the confirmation page for the counseling procedure.

Registration and Counseling Fee

The registration/ counseling fee for general category is INR 3000 while it is INR 750 for SC/ST category participants.

Merit List of Haryana MBBS 2018

The Haryana MBBS Merit List will announce after the declaration of NEET 2018 Merit List. It will be announced category wise. The aspirants will be shortlisted in the merit list according to the marks obtained in NEET 2018. The seat allocation will be done as per the merit list in the respective category.

Haryana MBBS Counseling Procedure

The Haryana MBBS Counseling will be carried out via online mode. The shortlisted aspirants on the basis of NEET score will be called for the counseling procedure. Aspirants will need to report to the assigned institute with seat allocation letter for taking admissions in medical colleges.

The University of Health Science will announce a merit list for admissions to 85% state quota seats in medical/ dental colleges. The admissions to remaining 15% seats will be done by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). There are 1250 MBBS seats and 800 BDS seats in government medical colleges and dental college of Haryana. Aspirants will have to produce all the original documents for the verification at the time of seat allocation. Seat Allotment will be done on the basis of NEET 2018 score.

Seat Allocation 

First Round

  • In Round 1 the Seats will be allotted on merit basis and preference mentioned during registration. ·
  • The allocation result will be published on the official website. No Personal allocation letters will not be sent to the aspirants. However, aspirants required to take print out of the allocation details.
  • Aspirants will have to physically current at the allotted college with the provisional letter.

Second Round ·

  • Registered aspirants can change choices and resubmit them. ·
  • Applicable aspirants for allocation against vacant seats fall into one of the following two groups:
  • The second round of counseling will be organizeed for the vacant seats available after the first round. ·

Group I: Aspirants who reported at the allotted college after the first round of seat allocation and opted for all the choices of preference higher than the presently allotted seat (auto-upgradation) to be considered in the subsequent round.

Group II: Aspirants who were not allotted any seats in the first round of seat allocation.
